A career retrospective of one of the NFL's most memorable wide receivers, Antonio Brown. Follow BLITZ Instagram: / blitz Imagery supplied by Getty Images
This dude was amazing for a solid decade, won a Super Bowl and judging him based off his mental capacity is unfair since we know the man likely has CTE
Phenomenal job telling his story. As a lifetime steelers fan, I always wanted a one of a kind Steelers receiver, and they gave us Hines Ward. But Antonio Brown is a generational talent. I appreciate the excitement and electricity he brought to Pittsburgh and helping Bruce win a ring.
He put together arguably the greatest 5 year stretch in NFL history for a wideout. I think AB at his peak is right up there with Moss, Rice, Megatron and T.O. in terms of dominance. He was a 5'10 guy with perfect route movements, phenomenal hands, and ALWAYS caught the ball in bounds. I think AB could've gone down as the greatest WR of all time had he not gone off the deep end. I still think he gets into the HOF years down the road.
I agree. And it's wild cause he's like 6 foot if that, regular sized dude with elite speed, quickness, hands, ball tracking and out of bounds awareness
His story with the entire college process is actually very motivating and inspirational. I had my own problems in college and while I never had to do this, it’s not easy to pack up and go back home or go somewhere else. Something like that would be beyond stressful. And then to still be motivated to try another school, with no help, is not something I could have done.
He was one of a handful of receivers in NFL history that were uncoverable even with safety help. His short area quickness, reaction time, foot speed and eye/hand are all off the charts. Twitchy af but straightens his path to get angles. Elite of the elite for 5-6 years. HOF imo.
AB was sooooo good. It’s unfortunate that he ended his career the way he did. I hope he gets the help He needs mentally. Maybe he was very widely understood but I think being under the spotlight really hurt him. They’ll let you be you when things go well, but they’ll destroy when things don’t.
No matter what AB 84 is a all time receiver aside the off field stuff which isnt our businesses to deal with im just evaluating the player and he definitely is a top 10 all time wr
💥💥Well I've been watching the NFL football since 1990 and I honestly say I've seen a lot of great receivers and Antonio Brown is definitely one of them. He is one of the most talented most unguardable receivers I've ever seen in my life.
The fact these Steelers couldn’t win a Super Bowl with Big Ben. Antonio Brown, and Levion Bell is insane!!!!! Watching those years was a blessing and a pain
Jacoby Jones, the man of the mile high miracle, will go a miracle paradise miles high now. Rest In Peace Jacoby, Texans, Ravens, and NFL fans will miss you.🕊️ -From a Niners Fan.
he has all the recognition, pretty much everybody who seen him in his prime, even me as a browns fan, rightfully see him as an all time great in terms of talent. he was just too big of a diva. you know you gotta problem when TO says ur a diva lol
@@FireAttack0811 not really. anybody who's been a fan for more than 5 years knows how good he is. underrated implies that people dont recognize your talent. everybody recognizes ab's talent, its his personality that causes people to not talk abt him.
It's crazy that people will sit here and say he's stupid or crazy because he didn't want to be treated like property or controlled by the NFL system... smh
The Steelers starting WRs in 2011 were Mike Wallace and Hines Ward. It's crazy that AB got so many yards being the team's #3 WR. Ward only had 381 receiving yards the entire season and didn't even average 10 yards per catch.
Burfict didn't even hit him in the head you all need to go watch the play again. His personality is just that. If you're not a fan you're entitled to your opinion personally I find him entertaining. Tremendous player and nobody can deny that!
He was good until he ruined his own career by making terrible decisions and making bad choices. He won’t be a Hall of Famer because of his on and off the field problems. He didn’t get along with his teammates or his coaches. He was his own worst nightmare. He was problematic. He was a maniac.
Hes a first ballot hall of famer its not a question for what he did on the feild which is the only thing that should count, hes arguably top 5 wrs all time
AB was the best receiver in football for a 5 year stretch and is the 4th best in Steelers History. He should be number one but we all know what happened. I hope he's getting the help that he needs. Obviously, he's never been the same since the Burfect dirty hit. BTW, the receivers ahead of him in Steelers history: 1)Lynn Swann 2) John Stallworth 3) Hines Ward 4) AB Those 3 are lifelong Steelers and won Super Bowls but he should have been #1.
I dont give a shit about his stats. Once you're throwing furniture out a building, all respect is gone. He nearly killed a toddler. How he didn't go to prison is beyond me.
It's a shame. AB if he had just played every season might be considered a top 3 receiver all time. He was putting up better than Jerry Rice numbers for 5 or 6 years before he had off the field issues.
He’s the greatest wr in nfl history. I’m a pats fan so I’m being unbiased. I understand he has horrible off the field decision making but his football ability is god like. He’s top 10 in receiving yards and missed a ton of games. If you do the math he could easily have 25k receiving yards. Yes he’s that good.
It's effin sad! People now laugh at AB and say things like he's dumb, and now they laugh at him because they say he's broke. This is what's wrong with society and why it all translates to hating on each other. All the reason why AB career ended as it did is no laughing matter, but people continue to make fun of it and call him names. This dude was absolute greatness, and in life when your doing great evil always follows and AB had his demons. But it's how you face and handle evil and your demons, and unfortunately for AB couldn't fight off his demons, which is usually a sign of something bigger, a cry for help, something that has been manifesting. I miss watching this dude play and still to this day there is no one in the league that was consistent as AB. I love seeing people succeed like they are in heaven riding high. But it absolutely pains me to see those people dragged down to hell because they couldn't overcome thir demons.
At the end the story will be: From homeless to NFL superstart to homeless again. It`s a shame, AB was one of the best wide receivers ever played the game. Unfortunatly the guy has some special abilities that ruin himself.
His youth life also could be a reason for his behavior. Growing up like that ain’t easy it takes a life long toll while also teaching you unhealthy mental n emotional habits. Not making excuses for the man just looking at his side of the hourglass
You didnt mention the hit that nearly took his life and caused instant CTE, which is when his erratic behavior started. Prior to that, he was flamboyant and fun. He will never be stable again, all because of one hit.
I think AB not making the hall of fame would be extremely hypocritical of the league. They’ve always separated the player from his actions, like if Ray Lewis and OJ Simpson are in, Brown should be too.
lets be real and in all factual statements even on paper he's the best WR the team has ever had... next to Hines...and that's debatable to me honestly...since he never finished with us... who knows how great bro could've continued to be...next to Mitz Fitz bruh could catch anything...even COVID

Facts.
That was largely due in part to the diva nature of AB and Bell. 😔 Perhaps even on Big Ben too.

AB is definitely a HOF, but his reckless antics on and off the field is going to postpone his HOF invite.

This guy was so good playing football 🏈 I don’t know why was causing so much problems. He could’ve easily become one of the best .
He has CTE brain damage. It makes you reckless and lowers inhibition.
Burfict really ruined AB. Man was never the same after that hit.
Great video but you should had included the illegal tackle from 2016 by Vontaze Burfict… that was the beginning on the downward spiral for AB.
I actually forgot how good AB was until I watched this 😅
