I realized (genuinely just now watching this reaction video, despite my many watch throughs...) that charlie did tell tori about him and nick, which similarly to elle telling tao, i have somewhat mixed feelings about
But when Elle asked for clarification Charlie did tell her ….and he said himself he was gonna tell Tao but was waiting to which idk why he easily could’ve told him when they all had milkshakes and the later fight probably would’ve never happened at all
Charlie respected Nick’s wish by not telling anyone except his sister, who’s trustworthy and not part of the group of friends. The only reason everyone found out is because Nick felt comfortable telling them, and Charlie went along. But most importantly, Charlie didn’t tell Tao because Tao made it hard. Tao went on and on about how he felt about Nick and his group of friends. It makes sense that Charlie needed time to tell him. It’s easy to blame Charlie for that situation and that fight, but the blame is mostly on Tao. If he had been a better, more attentive and less judgmental friend, Charlie would have been excited to tell him. Tao never even asked why Charlie didn’t tell him, he went straight to his own conclusions, that were mostly rooted in his own insecurities.
@@VictorHarbour Fully agree. Tao has abandonment issues (clarified in a later episode), but his actions are still horribly over the top. You don't keep a friend group together by emotionally imprisoning its members. I feel like a real-world Tao would be so hard to be around that he'd probably have no friends at all.
@@KayDeeKeySull I think she figured it out like Isaac did, but still, he didn't confirm it for her until after Nick had already told multiple people. I wish they'd done a better job of articulating that it wasn't Charlie's place to tell anyone because he would be outing Nick, which he would never do. He was following Nick's lead and Nick never said to tell Tao. He didn't object when Charlie said he'd tell Tao, which implies consent, but Nick didn't initiate telling Tao.
I love that nicks mom is apologizing and the line i wasnt born in the eighteen century is from olivia she plays a bisexuell queen in the favorite, in the comics is she saying i wasnt born in the 1920
I have watched this many times before, but this time during the scene where Charlie Nick and the other guys were all walking out of the movie theater I realized this time I was more paying attention to Nick then Charlie and I saw how much Nick truly cared about Charlie and didn’t want anything bad to happen to him. That’s why he kept on trying to shove off Harry, even though Harry wasn’t listening. I saw that Charlie was really uncomfortable, and I also saw that Nick realized that that is one of the reasons why I love every single actor even is still giving the same amount of effort and emotion into their character❤❤
amazing reaction! nick's coming out meant the world to me as someone who doesn't have the same parental support. u should 100% watch s2 it's so good and touches out on deeper topics
Another really great reaction. It’s not so much what you say but what you obviously feel-I’ve seen these scenes a half-dozen times now and many of them still leave my face wet. Not sure if you noticed, at 12:35 Nick put his head on Charlie’s shoulder. Both guys are going through their own emotional journeys. Nick is shown as the strong one-and he is-but he’s also vulnerable and far more sensitive than appearances suggest. **We** know that because we get to see & hear the private side. Charlie appears weak and, well, damaged-and given the bullying… But Charlie also has a resilience and strength that isn’t apparent on the surface. Nick recognizes it-to his credit-and looks to Charlie for support and comfort. I suspect neither could navigate the explanations but when a key fits into a lock there’s no argument: they fit together and inside, they know it. The acting is just spectacular. Kit and Joe (Nick & Charlie) are amazing in their roles. As I understand it, the actors have the same sexual orientation as the characters they are portraying. This clearly helped invest the show with a rare authenticity. Openly gay and bi actors are unusual but at least no longer scandalous. An openly trans actor portraying a trans character… wow! To take nothing away from the rest of that stellar cast. Or the insightful, brilliant writing that first appeared as graphic comix (? not my usual thing so) and from that this series. A fourth and final season is being rolled out now in the UK and Aus. Hoping that means it will start to air in the US next month…? I’m looking forward to your Season 2 & 3 reactions when you’re able to do them. Eagerly anticipating watching this journey continue!
Season 3 ends with sections from book 5. Alice decided she needed one more book to finish the overall story. She is still working on book 6; she says it would include one more chapter and an epiloogue. The book is not finished yet. She has been talking to Netflix, trying to get their approval for a 4th Season, which would be based on book 6. BUT Netflix has not given the go ahead yet. Which means there has been no filming of a season 4.
@ Yeah, I know from an interview with Alice I saw on RUclips in which she said she’s completing book 6-I think the phrase was “working furiously to finish book 6” but objectively that actually only conveys intent, not progress. 😏 I hadn’t heard about an epilogue before but to be perfectly honest that gives me hope-I’m a sucker for “happy ever after” and I want to see Nick & Charlie together and married. But that can’t happen before Charlie graduates HS! An epilogue could jump forward a few years… Netflix is funny about the way they commit to projects; sometimes it makes no sense. This would seem to be a total no-brainer. I guess the best thing fans can do is re-watch and request. Anyway thanks for clarifying this. One hears (reads) things presented as authoritative and it’s all too easy to repeat as established fact. After all, how often does a person respond by demanding a cite of sources?

Nick coming out to his mum makes me cry happy tears every damn time.
Charlie didn't tell Tao about Nick because Charlie didn't tell anybody. Isaac figured it out on his own, and Nick told Tara and Darcy, and Elle.

„Don’t let anyone make you disappear“ Best line ever!!!
I have that on a T-Shirt!

Each season having only 8 episodes, and only roughly a half hour an episodes, is a crime
But they do so much per episode. (Season 3 episodes are a bit longer)
