@@iRidetas I haven’t done too much to it aside from basic maintenance. Don’t really see a lot of the classic models around here so I won’t mod it too much. Might sync the throttle bodies here soon but it’s good to go aside from that!
Haha it was hot!!! This bike is easy as the carbs are easy to get to. Concidering how much I've messed with the carbs it was still rideable despite been so out! Cheers
I’ve really enjoyed your videos mate. Excellent. I’ve replaced my throttle cables and it seems to have a high idle now. I’m going to go buy a tiny tach and set the idle. I might have accidentally adjusted the screw when I was jamming my hands in there.
Cheers mate, it would prob be that the new cable has not stretched so its pulling it a little tight. Maybe try turning the threaded l piece on the throttle cable at the bars to let it off which may let it return to 0% throttle or if that doesnt work as you said the idle screw will!
Good job, that sync is no sweat, I have a VS1400 Intruder and its one of the hardest bikes to sync, the 2 carbs are totaly seperated and different altogether and attached by a sync cable, you have to do an idle sync (low speed) and a 2k (high speed) sync using different cables, and if you happen to bump or move the cable, or slight adjust it it throws it our of wack, its the craziest bike ive seen,,,But I love the bike LOL,,,But the sync is very important to get the bike right
How many rpm's did you raise it up? And I just rebuilt carbs Virago 535 should I do fuel level measurements first then sync the carbs and set idle then use Gunson Colortune to set pilot screws? Or what sequence would you go in.. I synced carbs first and perfect like yours but started backfiring a little
@@iRidetas so I guess I'll start with fuel level measurements then use the Gunson Colortune to dial in pilot screws(it's a dual carb) then do sync and idle again. Sound right?
When I place my bike on the sidestand it really leans onto the side quite a bit, would you suggest I straighten my bike before I sync the carbs or should I leave it on the sidestand..?..
That is some big jets mate, I'd be guessing its to rich, but you'll prob need to check you plugs. I run velocity stacks and only have 130 main and 27.5 pilots
You make it look so easy mate! Easily one of the best I've seen on RUclips as going about to sync the carbs/throttle bodies.
Thanks mate, that means a lot. I appreciate it. Are you tinkering on the guzzi?

Awesome, always great riding a bike that isn't common makes it so fun when people are a little uncertain what it is but like it! 😊
You made that look easy. It was surprising to see the difference between the two. Getting your hand in and around a hot engine...Nice, well done.

Thanks so much for easily explaining the process. You made it very easy to understand! I love RUclips!

Carbs are really cool. But when you’re getting old like me, you appreciate fuel injectors 😁
😂😂 I fuel injected xvs650 would be awesome! 🤔
My sentiments exactly :)

Great video mate
Quick question, the lines go into the intake manifold??
Yes on the ports
Hey mate i got one of those tackos and it goes from 900-1120 -1240 then back again, which reading do i go with ?
Are you sure its on the right setting and wrapped around the spark plug lead at least 5 times!
@@iRidetas yeah mate read the directions
Thats a big variation, im not sure id trust any of them. My only fluctuates by 20
@@iRidetas ok I'll try to send it back cheers
Hi synced mine at ladle and at a few thousand rpm, very close and the idle is rock solid but just off idle there is a vibration.

Thanks for the video btw!!! Very easy to understand!
I would do the syncing last as any adjustments can put it out again. Manual says rpm to 1100
@@iRidetas thanks and what rpm did you set while doing sync well right before you said to raise it idle a little how much? Thanks
@@iRidetas so I guess I'll start with fuel level measurements then use the Gunson Colortune to dial in pilot screws(it's a dual carb) then do sync and idle again. Sound right?
@@iRidetas let me know bro when you get a chance, if that's right.. thanks again!!
Do this work with honda shadow?
Any bike with dual carbs is basically the same technique
@@iRidetas also where do you get tachometer, name or beand ?
Search ebay
I'm jealous! You are able to do this without taking the tank off - which is in my case with the old vz800 Marauder - a pain in the back side :)
Haha yeah the bungs for this job are in a great spot 😀 makes it so easy!
I have to take the tank off on my Yamaha vstar as well
Hi franky don’t suppose you have a vid how to sink them mines being a right shit
Well done thxs for the video love the vstars
Thanks mate me too!
Brilliant mate, thank you.
Cheers
When I place my bike on the sidestand it really leans onto the side quite a bit, would you suggest I straighten my bike before I sync the carbs or should I leave it on the sidestand..?..
It wouldn't make much difference for a sync but it gives you more room to work on that side if its on a lift
Great how to. I assume this would be the same on a 1100 custom?
Pretty much!👍👍
Do I have to have the carbs synced if I'm just adjusting with the idol screw?
I would, yes
@iRidetas thanks and what rpm did you set while doing sync well right before you said to raise it idle a little how much? Thanks
Raised it a couple of hundred rpm
@@iRidetas thanks!!
if u dont have a manometer, do it by sound.good stuff
Nice work mate
Thanks mate! 👍👍
@@iRidetas did it improve the performance much??
No but the other mods did and this feels like it allows it to do ot easier
I've done the same thing at idle. But about 1400 rpms the throttle bogs out. I've switched jets to 135 and pilots to 37.5. I also have air filter pods
That is some big jets mate, I'd be guessing its to rich, but you'll prob need to check you plugs. I run velocity stacks and only have 130 main and 27.5 pilots
Awesome. Thanks for that
No worries!
That was great info
Thanks mate! 👍😀
Nice job m8, should have a nice response while riding : )
Thanks! Yeah it made it more snappy in response to the throttle 😀 which is awesome! Cheers
Gangster
Wheres the tach from fella? You should really set up something like an amazon affiliates page.
Ebay
@@iRidetas do you have a link
type in tiny tach in ebay!
