Around here where I live... At the end of the season pepper plants while they are still alive prune them back and take off all the leaves and transplant into a 1 gallon flower pot and keep them in a dark cool place for the winter they'll last and you can plant them back in the spring and they'll get bigger and produce more every year you keep them

i say the pot is TOO Small,,Your potting mix worked fine until the root ball filled the container and chokes the feeders from nutrients. Just 1 plant in a 5 gallon or 20 liter bucket is as small as You wanna try. Good Luck and GOD BLESS The Child🙏🏼🏅

There are soil bacteria that will cause wilting problems when the temps get above 85. They get up into the stalk and choke off the Viens that supply water and nutrition. Especially here in Florida. Damaged roots from transplanting during the growing process can make them suceptable to this bacteria. It will also happen if soil is to moist all the time. Try watering less. I'm going to grind up a aspirin per plant and water it in to relieve some stress that occurs from drastic temp changes and just overall stress that happens when they start producing fruit and demand enormous amount of nutrition. I had to deal with blossom rot already early in the growth thank God. I dumped a half gallon of whole milk into each pot to get calcium replenished immediately. Then I put calcium rich fertilizer on them that broke down naturally and was absorbed. Look at the label and make sure on miracle grow that you get the type for tomatoes specifically. The other ones don't have any calcium in it. The first course of fruit on the lower level will suck up all the calcium and the next course of fruit will not get any and will cause blossom rot. So make sure when your mixing your soil to plant in, that you add calcium rich fertilizer. It scared me . I thought I'd lost the whole crop on my first attempt at growing tomatoes. My plants are huge , green and healthy now. Full of beautiful big green tomatoes.

Biggest issue over all I would think is lack of nutrient/fertiliser. Those pots are to small, hence the amount of nutrient in that soil is lacking for the size of the plant. Being root bound could be another issue, being in those small pots. I use nothing less than a 20lt pot no matter what type of Tom I'm growing. All the way up to 80lt pots as well.

Why do organic fertilizers in potted plants? I understand doing it in a garden bed or in pots where the plant is going to be in it for years but for tomatoes I would go with regular fert. I understand wanting organic but that has nothign to do with fertilizers IMO. Also tomatoes need a ton of fertilizer. I was using triple the suggested amount and my soil probes were showing that the EQ levels were still far too low. They need a lot becasuse they grow so fast.

    Layed their eggs…

I have seedling tomato plants whose leaves are disintegrating. The stem is left. Strangely they were fine until I put them outside on the porch to harden off. I have been giving them LAB and also a molasses product called Sassy Lass to try to revive them but I don't know if they can grow more leaves after most are gone. It remains to be seen.

But if it's anything like your videos it's going to be a huge help in setting up our rabbit colony. I absolutely love this video. The tip about making your nasty garden juice is great. I mean how gross can it get???? The more gross the more fun, right? :P Anyway it's still the dead of winter here in Iowa but I'm definitely going to be taking up Fertilizer Friday.... im afraid my tomato plant's were not strong enough and didnt get planted quick enogh and are dead beyond repair, i grew 4 tomato plants together in a pint or quart sized container indoors for the last 10 months indoors then i put it outside for a day or 2 and it looked really sad , i seperated them and thier roots and planted then in mirical gro soil with fertilizer mixed in, like enogh that the bagd stunk , watered it for 2 nights and put a makeshift shade around them but i think they are to far gone, i took the smallest of them back indoors and hope and pray it will grow strong enough to plant it outside and at least grow that one

I am new to gardening and only started this year. I planted 20 varieties of heirloom tomatoes and peppers on May 22 this year. My plants are struggling so much and had to result to replanting from seeds few times. I mixed in organic tomato fertilizer in soil when I began and kept a decent watering routine weekly. I have tried Epsom salt and have not see. really much improvement but stumbled upon fish fertilizer and decided to give it a go. Some of my tomato plants are growing but no flowers in sight. How do i change course. Thanks.

I recommend miracle grow because it's easy to use for amateur s Well he never said whether he followed my advice or not but ha said last year he had the best garden he ever had . So I'm thinking he followed my advice to feed and water his plants . I guess only him and god will ever know amen

    Hi 👋
Here in the UK it's wintertime right now (I'm presuming you're in Aus? 🌞⛱️), but I'm trying to keep a cutting from my summer tomato plant alive in the warmest place I can indoors - so I can hopefully get a head start on the beautiful tom's I had mid last year? It's a bit droopy atm.. 😱 so I've repotted it in a bigger pot & drier soil as I've possibly been overwatering it. My question is (if I may ask): do I need to feed it, even though it's early winter?🤞

It's because of the weather my plants where wilting as well give them some miracle grow soluble fertilizer which is about $12 for 5 lbs mix it 1 spoon in a gallon of water and feed your plants you'll see the difference the next day . Also if the weather is between 50-70°f don't water them everyday I suggest twice a week because too much watering will kill your plants another good thing for plants is epsom salt , * Do not wet your tomato plants leave the sun will destroy your plants and tomato plants leaves hate water touching them.
