Sometimes music is the only thing that can bring comfort in a tragedy like this.
On August 8th, 2023, my home island of Maui was ablaze. The historic town of Lahaina was pretty much completely destroyed because of hurricane-force winds fueling the fire, which quickly spread throughout the town and residential areas, schools, and more. The destruction is unbelievable. The death toll is rising (going to be in the triple digits). Thousands are displaced and have lost everything they own.
Our island Maui and the town of Lahaina will never ever be the same. But the devastation to the people, the homes, the businesses, and their lives is nothing compared to the power of ALOHA and us coming together to help.
Please donate as much as you can, and YES, say prayers for all those dealing with this firsthand.
