🔧🔩🏆 This is a 5-star video. You are a natural teacher, Ray! It excelled for these reasons: good camera work, no distracting background music, and a thorough explanation in layman's terms every step of the way. I actually used this video to find the best way to access the coolant distribution pipe on my Mazda3. Following this video allowed me clear access to an otherwise crowded area of top left of the engine where the cracked part lay.
I used this video to replace my transmission mount a day ago. Great and very thorough instructions!! Best video I have used so far and I have used many over the years for other projects. I had to use a still pipe as leverage for my ratchet/torque wrench to remove the nuts on the mount but I got them out. I am going to use your video to replace the bottom mount soon. Thanks for the upload!!
Your videos are excellent! I thought all your tips and tourqe specs were great! I used them to change all 3 of my Mazda3 motor mounts with ease because of your help. Thanks a lot. I used TRQ brand from Amazon to get all cost me $100!!!!!
Came here to follow your instructions in so far as I needed to replace the coolant outlet diverter, thank you it was very helpful. Funny thing though, once I broke everything down i saw that the tranny mount was destroyed! Like completely in pieces, so I followed the rest of your video and replaced the mount. This tutorial, was, as we say in the metro-west section of Boston...Wicked Pissah!
This is a pretty good video. I was going to do this, and it would have been helpful as it hits all the points, but today the mount let go completely and took the transmission mount bracket out as well about 100 miles from home when I was on my lunch break. Sometimes you gotta pay a pro, because it's cheaper than the tow...
I recently changed my mounts in an Australian 2011 Mazda 3 Neo (AUTO) BL Series, when I received the mount supposedly suited to my car (Transgold TEM3081 for those wondering) it created a whine in my transmission, I assume resonance through the frame of the vehicle as there is meant to be a rubber 'bush' in the mount to fit over the transmission mount itself, when I finally worked out what it was, I bought a new one which had this bush in it and viola! no more noise. For those who may be having a similar issue, changing the mount on my 5SP auto to the KELPRO MT7488 (from REPCO) seems to have fixed the problem. Hopefully this comment saves hours of frustration as I wish someone had the wisdom on this subject but no one has any idea, and fair enough. It's a problem caused by a missing part on the new mount basically. Who would have thought that? Anyway, if you have an auto and your mount doesn't come with the bush, don't put it in. and don't use your old bush either... Thanks so much to Ray's Driveway for his excellent videos in the general sense of removing these mounts, sincerely appreciated here from Australia!
Thank you for your video, it gave me confidence to do the same. Ordered the parts and waiting. I think I used your other video to replace the right engine mount as well, it went smooth.
Sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know a method to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost the login password. I appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Brecken Peter Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
how to check if the mount is bad before removing everyting and ordering parts ? hear some nose starting the car uphill and it vibrate when you put it on drive or reverse
Do you have the video where you address the throttle body??? I got a 2010 Mazda 3 2nd owner and it looked like that. Why? Is that natural or is a gasket leak, like intake manifold?? 🤷 thanks man
I need to replace my mounts. my right side one broke and I had my mechanic replace it but he's kind of an ass. Literally two weeks later, vibrations and noises again, so I suspect either this one or the other one broke (I have a 2010 Mazda3). I am just curious, do you need to jack the car up and have it on jackstands like you do? Or as long as the Jack can fit under and support the engine it should be okay? Secondly, is there a way to remove the bottom cover (I watched your video) without having to raise the car up on a fancy car lift? I obviously don't own one. Thanks for these videos!
You don't need to lift you car onto jack stands but I would atleast stuff something Infront and behind the tire just in case. I had a 3.5 ton jack and 6ton stand both too large and I just picked up a $130 kit from AutoZone that came with a 1.5 ton and 2 stands. Raising it onto a jackstand makes it significantly easier to reach the torque mount, and your bottom cover. Funny enough I just replaced all three of mine and I still felt like I heard a vibration noise. had my buddy come check it and seems like I installed the trans mount wrong. My right mount also rocks back and forth. Haven't got into any more than power braking and shifting. Won't know what I did wrong or what mount till tomorrow if I got time
Hey man, how are you doing? I just needed some help please, I was trying to deflood my rx8 and while in the process of doing it. On about my 6th go of it just stopped cranking. And hasn’t cranked since, i’ve tried 2 different vehicles but won’t crank but the dash lights come on and that’s it. Please help!
There is really nothing special about the RX8s starting system. If it isn't cranking at all the battery is too weak or the starter is done. Give it a break, let the starter cool off, fully charge or replace your battery and try again. If you have the ability to jump power directly to the starter trigger pin after the battery has charged or been replace, that will tell you if the starter is toast or not.
That mount was a bad design from Mazda on that car. The bolt that holds the mount will work it’s way out and the driver side portion of the motor will drop while driving! Happened to me twice but I was lucky. Both times were when I was pulling into a side street, thankfully not on a freeway. Both times killed my driver side axel and even messed up my clutch. If you do this repair or have it done have them put a few lock nuts on the bottom end to prevent this.
I'm shopping RX8s right now, just need to make some room in the driveway and finish up these Mazda3's I have! Premix is both a complicated and simplistic topic. As soon as I get an 8 to play with, I'll make a video on it!
Some electronic throttle bodies will change their min/max position values or damage the tbody motor when opened manually. This vehicle does not. You can open it. It will not cause you any issues or damage the throttle body. Don't be scared.

Explained so well with perfect detail. I appreciated no music, socket size, torque..etc and so I did it with no problem! Thank u!
I'll try this soon. Thank you for high quality video. I like how each step is described in detail. Super helpful.

how to check if the mount is bad before removing everyting and ordering parts ? hear some nose starting the car uphill and it vibrate when you put it on drive or reverse
Thank you so much. Thinking of replacing the mount myself. Does it have to be torqued? I dont have a torque wrench
Is it a different process for a manual transmission
Do you have the video where you address the throttle body??? I got a 2010 Mazda 3 2nd owner and it looked like that. Why? Is that natural or is a gasket leak, like intake manifold?? 🤷 thanks man
how did you know that it was the transmission mount which went bad ?
Helped out a lot thanks.
I just did this one, too. Thank you!
I agree with John Miller this is a 5***** video sure hwelped me with my problem cheers

hi, what about OEM and ofermarket engine mount ?
very helpful, thank you
is it good genuine or aftermarket for 2012 model car?
I hope reply soon
Genuine is much better. You can have it on amazon for about $100 dollars.
Does this apply to a 2011 mazda 3?

Whitney Automotive Alright I sure will try that, thank you so much man! Keep up the great work!
I ray, what if I don't have the engine?
how did this car behave while having this broken mount?
ruclips.net/video/3EyCASK8SRY/видео.html
Here is a video of all the issues it was having... vibrations, harsh shifts, noises
Does it really matter if I buy one from ebay not original

Doing this right now! 2024
Picking up a mazda 3 tomorrow with 99k miles that is given to my wife but has a vibration when it gets to 60-70 mph. I hope this solves the issue.
Did this solve the vibrationa on 60-70 mph ?
thank for shared
I beleived u should have torqued the Mount bolt with the trans jacked
You should do a premix video for a Mazda RX-8. I needs help!!
I'm shopping RX8s right now, just need to make some room in the driveway and finish up these Mazda3's I have! Premix is both a complicated and simplistic topic. As soon as I get an 8 to play with, I'll make a video on it!
Whitney Automotive. Thank you! I got my bell notification on, I’ll be posted!😀🙂
U should get a torque wrench my friend is more safe for all the jobs . no disrespect .
i did this to my mazda 3 in like 30min but then when everything was don't i connected my battery backwards and created a whole new problem lol
What sent bad
Fuses and the inline fuse
Nice man fa real
You probably just messed up your throttle body. It's electronic and you don't open it by hand
Myth.
DO NOT MOVE THE THROTTLE PLATE WITH YOUR FINGER
Some electronic throttle bodies will change their min/max position values or damage the tbody motor when opened manually. This vehicle does not. You can open it. It will not cause you any issues or damage the throttle body. Don't be scared.
Typical Ford crap original parts. No wonder Mazda got a divorce. Irreconcilable differences.
Never set your battery on concrete
Thats a myth
@@markmiller6486 exactly!
“If you don’t have it you should probably replace it” : me who threw it away to get ALL the plastic junk out of my engine bay. 👁️👄👁️
