- The LIFEPAK 15 monitor/defibrillator delivers…
Physio-Control defibrillators have set the standard for over 55 years, and the latest version of the LIFEPAK 15 monitor raises the bar. As our most advanced emergency response monitor/defibrillator, the LIFEPAK 15 device offers sophisticated clinical technologies and operational effectiveness with a rich array of features-like the most powerful escalating energy available (up to 360J), advanced monitoring parameters, and a completely upgradable platform. At the same time, it’s tough enough to stand up to your most challenging environments.
Advanced monitoring parameters…
With more monitoring capabilities than any other monitor/defibrillator, the 15 gives you EtCO2 with continuous waveform capture. Masimo Rainbow technology helps you detect hard-to-diagnose conditions and improve patient care with noninvasive monitoring of carbon monoxide, SpO2 and methemoglobin. In addition, the 15 now offers temperature monitoring-and like other data, you can transmit it to other systems, trend it, or display for post-event review in CODE-STATdata review software.
Advanced support for treating cardiac patients…
Not only can you easily acquire a pre-medication 12-lead ECG, you can also rely on the LIFEPAK 15 monitor/defibrillator to continuously monitor all 12 leads in the background and alert you to changes using the ST-Segment Trending feature. The 15 also works seamlessly with the web-based LIFENET System, so you can automatically share critical patient data with multiple patient care teams throughout a region in real time.
Full energy up to 360 joules, for every patient who needs it…
The LIFEPAK 15 monitor/defibrillator features 360J biphasic technology, which gives you the option of escalating your energy dose up to 360J for difficult-to-defibrillate patients. Why is this necessary? Recent studies have shown that refibrillation is common among VF cardiac arrest patients and that defibrillation of recurring episodes of VF is increasingly difficult. Another recent randomized controlled clinical trial shows the rate of VF termination was higher with an escalating higher energy regimen of 200J and over.
Proven CPR guidance and post event review…
The CPR Metronome in the LIFEPAK 15 monitor uses audible prompts to guide you without distracting vocal critique. A metronome has been a feature that has demonstrated to help you perform compressions and ventilations within the recommended range of the 2010 AHA Guidelines. Post-event review of CPR data and delivering feedback to the team has been shown to be effective in improving CPR quality in both hospital and out-of-hospital. And by transmitting code data directly to CODE-STAT Data Review software, QA/QI personnel can review CPR statistics and provide training and feedback where it is most needed.

You are saint
Thanks!
When your Paramedic watches the entire 48 minutes while you're in cardiac arrest.
Haha, that's not so far fetched!!!
Lol
how to live tutorial lmao
Lmao!

Fun fact: On one of the demonstration units used in making this video, the Physio-Control badge in the top right corner is replaced by a retro style logo that was used in the 90s. On the startup screen for this particular unit it also says "Defibrillator/Monitor" instead of "Monitor/Defibrillator" like all other LP15s as a throwback to the older term.
Which?
@@sophiat32 The best view of it is during the ECG and SpO2 sections
thanks to the person for being shocked just so we can learn

Damn, my man got defibrillated.
Great presentation but I always had problems with the BP cuff. I've found more accurate BPs if I apply the cuff LOOSELY. And this was the Physio service guys advice.
33:04 is the iconic sound
Thank you very much for sharing video, so helpful.
Thank you!
How do you silence the low perfusion alarm on spo2? It constantly sounds on our unit on anyone with just the slightest problem obtaining an Sop2 and annoys the hell out of everyone all the way to the hospital
Thanks

Stylus on the screen
Very well presented.

i liked this vide
Why does the first lady put the limb leads on the torso but the second guy advises specifically not to do this and states to put them on the limbs? What are the manufacture recommendations and through experience, what do others find to be best?
Limbs only if you’re doing a 12 lead
3 attempts to transmit a 12 Lead, wifi working, proper selections made (hospital, 12 Lead), all 3 failed. Any ideas?
pueden hacer una es español
What is the matter with hands-on-defibrillation? is that possible with Lifepak15??
Is it OK
How do you switch it to manual mode? Is it different on all units depending on how our service has it set up?
I think it depends on how your service has set the monitor up. Our service has set the machine up to start in AED mode which has to be changed to manual mode after.
Alyssa Olson yes it can be different on other units of the LIFEPAK modules

No front, but his P-wave seems kinda small (2:20)
Our service got those on some bargain deal and I know why now. Absolute piece of junk. Worked decent at first but after couple years (assuming warranty ended) started to fail. To get a good tracing is a hit or miss, sometimes you will get all the bumps in the road instead of pt's heart rhythm, lot of times you will get zigzags on steady pt no matter what you do and few times I noticed that improved after truck started moving 🤷♂️ not gonna mention unable to get a BP reading cause that's something you can do manually but ECG not. Also to go back from AED to regular mode is pretty much impossible during the code so you have to turn it off which will mess up your whole time line. Did I mention that it costs like a brand new car?
I have a port for CO2 on the back of the Lifepak 15 we have at work and wondering what it is for. It is a female port and it is located just above the batteries?
Most likely it's outlet for collected CO2 analysed by monitor.
@@pawcik5224 this is exactly what it is for
7:00 I would also add: turn off the engine of the ambulance.
Those pads must have hurt like a mf to take off
