    It's almost like a bluff. The bookies had this guy as favourite. But there is some things in life that are certain and one of them is Djokovic isn't going to win 2 in a row against Goliath. Any body who knew this could have almost tripled their money.

    It always comes down to a few shots in every match between these guys. I am disappointed Novak complained about the start time of the match when it was his camp that supposedly wanted the later start although in his defense it did start ridiculously late

    Novak being actually a sore loser here. Saying rafa was the better player in important situations. Overall rafa dominated djokovic except for the second half of the second set. The rest he blew Novak off the court with high level tennis

      Novak had his chances to win the 4th set, he had set points. It wasn’t a domination, Nadal was playing incredibly well though. could have easily gone to a 5th like Novak says here. It’s not being a sore loser, it’s literally objective analysis by him

      @@HILAL19564 That's one of the crucial moments djokovic is talking about though, if he converted the set point and didnt give up the break he would have taken it to a 5th set. he would also have a higher chance of having the momentum going into it. Overall Nadal seemed unbeatable but the match was actually closer than it seemed

      @@Magician3388 ahahahh the match was actually far far and again very far from close this was complete domination by rafa my guy the only match which was really close was 2021 when lucky djokovic won despite rafa played better in third set he was always 40-40 on djokovics serves and on his serve novak barely got any points

    Always felt after the loss to Shapo in Rome,Rafa and his team built a halo of injury being fatal to career and that Djokovic had to just stroll inthe park during QF.Whatmore , Djokovic and team fell for it like in 2020. ...heavy balls,night session ,closed roof blah blah blah ... forgetting the fact all these hardly matter on clay for Rafa.Pressure shifted to Djokovic who was tipped to not lose and Rafa cut loose....

    Novak definitely sounds a bit bitter in this. Remember Novak took out Rafa last year and I do not recall Rafa being bitter at all. But you know, that's Novak. LOL

      @@EricLiu1107 grandslams carry the most weight and if Novak doesn't surpass Nadal in grandslams it's always going to be debatable. If Novak passes him in slams then without a doubt he'll be the Goat but as they stand I'd give it to Nadal. All of them have their stats and records but Nadal has 22 slams and I believe that carries alot of weight for the Goat debate.

    I don't know it seems to me that Novak was not mentally or physically prepared for this match. I think he like many others was expecting a physically diminished Nadal and found one who was not only injury free but very aggressive. Novak to me was not in any shape to go 5 sets with Nadal which I believe he felt would be the length it would take to win the match. The time, conditions and not the least of all the opponent he was facing made it impossible for Novak to play the way he would have liked.

      He simply got outplayed by the clay GOAT, no need to over-think it. Djokovic's 2 only victories came when Nadal was having his worse career year EVER in 2015 and in 2021 when he was playing on one leg literally. A healthy Nadal is never losing at Philippe Chatrier.

      @@tatjanamastilovic2956 He said it after winning his 4th round leading to the q.f stating clearly he liked his chance meeting Nadal this time around considering his previous straight sets winnings n considering Nadal's condition after fighting off FAA in a > five hour match. It was in an interview one day before the match. You might be sick on that day that you didn't follow up the news. As a sport journalist in my home country I never miss tennis coverings pre n post events. I m 27 years old n m an athlete myself, everything is okey about me.

    I think a big key to this match was that Nadal's physical condition did take Novak by surprise. He knew that Nadal was in better condition than it seemed from Nadal's interviews in the lead-up, but he did not think Nadal was going to be at 100% and he absolutely was. Thus, it took Novak a set and a half to get his bearings right given this new reality.
    If Novak played the way he did mid-way through the second from the jump, this match would have went a lot differently, but obviously that doesn't matter.
    Novak knew it was never going to be a cakewalk (despite Nadal's best efforts to convince him so), but he also didn't expect a war, and he had to go to war if he was going to win this match.. So ultimately, Nadal's mind games in the lead-up did work to some extent.

    Novak is only human and basically he had a bad day and LOST as RAFA was on the day a better players..but guess he felt prior to match he was going to win and hence the sarcastic remarks regarding Rafa's injuries past and present incinuating Rafa had NO PRIOR INJURIES.. unlike Novak!!

    The Level of this Match was something out of the World, was like watching 2 Aliens playing Tennis, they payed both At theyr hight possibile Level,for me it doesn't matter the surface it's just the Motivation and the focusing nadal has when He plays hier, all of us know the hier At Roland Garros rafa is the better Player, just thinking about what Would have happened if rafa had been in the same mental and phisical state in Other grand slam tournments, for me when is at this stage of his phisical and mental condition is the greatest sportman to ever Played this Sport

    He himself came out playing great practically from the beginning of the clay season after not playing a single match for six months! Why would there be a surprise that Rafa was fit?!! He has been playing since the beginning of the season and if he does t have foot pain, he can play his regular way. He was able to numb the pain in his foot. So, there was nothing preventing him from playing the way he wanted to play. He was already fit, trained and ready.

      There are two hard court grand slam competitions and one on grass and one on clay. Novak specializes in hard court and grass ahead of Nadal. Where Nadal specializes in clay ahead of Novak. Considering there is only one clay grand slam and two hard court grand slams alone Novak is the one at an overal advantage and Nadal is at a disadvantage. Yet Nadal is still ahead in total grand slams wins. Imaging they even out the playing field and added another clay court to a grand slam. Nadal would be by far and away ahead of these guys.

      @@TitusDafox I agree with what you are saying. Yet in reality if you travel the globe you will see hard courts far out number every other type of court. Especially outside Europe.
      In reality 3/4 of the Slams should be played on hard. 1 on clay. And 0 on grass. But since grass resembles hard more than clay it seems fair.

    Why doesn't Novak Djokovic get vaccinated in South Korea? He could encourage his fans there to get vaccinated. I know North Korean athletes admire Russian athletes a lot. They have probably heard of this Serbian tennis player and might change their mind about no one in North Korea being vaccinated. If the Russian Olympic team also wants to go to the next Olympics why not talk to the Olympics committee about loving Ukraine and not supporting the war.

    Psychologically, It was a total n tragic loss for Jokoweak as Nadal nullified all his set points opportunities. No wonder Jokoweak didn't speak to his coach for a few days after this painful demise. This will teach Jokoweak not to be arrogant or over confident any more.

    Nole is the realest the smartest and the best! Grand Slams are way to overrated, many top 20 players can win a Slam with a good run and a bit of luck in the draw!(Chang, Krajicek, Stich, Cilic, Ivanisevic) 373 Weeks World No1 is way more impressive!!!
