Tiago, I totally agree with your review of the Powerslide Evo Pro, they are my favorite skate that I own. A carbon cuff would be great. Also I would like if the cuff had some height adjustability. If Powerslide looks at these comments, they should know that a skate of this level and ability to heat mold should include heat molding instructions. Tiago provided a real service by creating a fun and informative video on the heat molding process, again thank you Tiago. It would be fun to skate with you, if I am ever able to visit France or if you ever visit Los Angeles California.
Personally me, i enjoyed it a lot. Useful and cool review. Thanks! You inspire to keep trying to learn new tricks and not only use my Rollerblades for moving. You got awesome skills.
This is a great overview of these skates, Tiago. I pretty well agree with your assessment here. I will ad that I did initially put an insole in mine when I got them because I didn't realize the technology didn't require it and my first skate session in them ended up pretty painful, like you said, with some blisters at the end. Overall though, they're the most versatile pair of skates that I own and I use them more than any other pair.. My only major gripe is that it seems Powerslide has begun to discontinue their Katana frames and you can't get the 4x80 or 4x76 frames for them anymore (which is my favorite frame for these). Yes, Powerslide.. can we please get a carbon cuff?
Agreed the 4 x 80 Katana frame is a must have. I do not have anyother 4 wheel trinity frames but I am sure the 4x76 is also great. I really like that the Katana frame is rockerable, so fun!
Thanks for the review. Just purchased my 1st set of Powerslides (Kronos) and I am very impressed. I’ll be replacing my 11 year old Seba FR1s next and these, though expensive, could be in the running. That said, the FR1s are bomb-proof and I’ve been super-impressed by Seba’s quality.🤔

Very nice review! Don't see why not replace the cuff with a carbon one. Maybe the one from the Igor will fit? FR/Seba also has one, heat moldable to fit.
Tiago are you going to Skatelove Barcelona this year September 13th to 16th? Would love to see you there, check it out as I don't think anyone has properly reviewed it.
I like your reviews, but I find this one confusing. The skate promoted comes as a standard 3 wheel setup while your preferred setup, shown in this video is 4 wheel. What do I need to order to achieve the same 4 wheel configuration, do I order the full skate and replace the frame and wheels? Which frame do you suggest? Also im using a 2015 seba fr1 80 deluxe skate in eur42 (im 264mm long) which fits my wide 100m flat foot, is the HC evo narrow or in yr experience is there a chance its a similar fit width wise. My seba are in need of repair, parts are not available right now and need a second pair of skates anyhow, so Id like to order yr setup asap (loco skates seem like the place to go). Would really appreciate yr expert, personal feedback on these points.
Thanks for the review. As for me the main complain with Powerslide top of line (Tau/HC Evo) is how narrow they are in the toe area. I tried the toe, loved everumything...except after 15 minutes I have no blood feeding my toes...which is a complete deal-breaker indeed. I'm not sure heatmolding would be sufficient to compensate that...
the igors are excellent skates too, but it would be difficult to rate 🤔 so, here's my aproach to answer to your question: igor 2016: 700€. extremely stiff, excellent materials ( I absolutely love Seba's carbon and "leather" my favorite so far), non heatmoldable, a traditional freestyle skate. kinda heavy ( heavier than a FR1 apparently), medium toe box, and now, I feel there's quite a lot of material between the my foot and the carbon ( probably because we have the thickness of the insole + a layer of "something" and then the carbon. excellent tongue, but wish the V-cut was deeper, at least for the smaller foot sizes. but the performances...OMG ❤️! and the carbon cuff!! feels amazing! evos: 500€. noticeably lighter, fully heatmoldable, I have a better fit ( I have small and slim feet) I feel more "connected" to the carbon, they are more comfortableX interesting "V-cut" the Katana frame brings the speed and the manoeuverability, plus there is a BUNCH of other trinity frames , good ones starting from 49€, plus all the stuff i said in this review The igors, I'd say a 7.5, 8 /10 too 🤔 just that, i get the feeling that we get more for cheaper with the evos, but again, both are AMAZING skates!
Thanks for the personal review. My choice is more between these EVOs and the Tau. There are very few comparisons in RUclips, but my understanding is that EVOs are more slalom oriented while the Tau are more versatile and have the inner sole which I need even on the FR1 from Seba...
the evo is more than just a slalom skate. It is very comfortable and also suitable for speed skating thanks to the low cuff. Unfortunately, the front area can only be adjusted backwards or forwards. In theory, probably also to the right and left. However, I haven't succeeded in practice yet. The straps and buckles are for the barrel
Which one is your favorite, Evo Trinity or Tau? Do the four-wheeled and three-wheeled bases come together? My object is the Urbans and the skating rinks.
Im so confused. I just got the powerslide phuzion Argon (rose) and they have the "my fit" logo at top of boot, like yours...yet on the website, it says they are NOT heat moldable???
Great video! Just want to ask you which ones do you think are Overallybetter choice? Seba (now FR Skates ) Igor or Powerslide Hardcore EVO TRINITY? Dont care about price. And which ones do you think are more durable?
Thanks for this review Tiago. I have a question. Do you often ride stairs with these? Do you feel any pain/too much vibrations? I have the 2017 evo and my toes hurt on the stairs. Also, after close to 2 years, i'm having ankle pains whenever close the buckles tight...seems like the liner is gone? Have you experienced something like that with skates having integrated liner when they wear out? Thanks
@tiago I'm wondering how the Evo Pro's compare in fit to the Seba High Carbons, are they a a much narrower fit? What size do you wear in the Evo Pro compared to the Seba High Carbon?
I have finally used my new HC Evo Pro. I am very happy with them. But there is one detail, that before I bought them, I had already read about and I couldn't believe it was true. Micro adjustable Force ratchet buckle make noise and vibrate when the ground is not smooth. When it is just a little uneven this happens. I can't understand how with a top and reference model for PS this can happen.
I've owned both skates the micro ones aren't bad for$120 us over here but I sold my fr1 just because I ordered them bigger than I needed. Now that I know my correct size , do you think it's really worth shelling out$300 for the fr1 4x80 or should I just stick with these micro mt's (the problems you had with the cuff don't apply to me because I'm taller😂)??? Thank you! Love from Texas
I plan to get a pair of Hardcore Evo boots. My Kaze boots are slowly falling apart. What are the yellow wheels you have in the setup of the last part of the video? Also, where did you find your 4x80 Rockered frame? They seem to be sold out just about everywhere...
Hi Michael , the yellow wheels are some UnderCover wheels, some old ones with the animal graphics ( size 76mm ) and for the 4x 76mm frames, I got them from Powerslide a few months ago. if you can't find them in the shops, you can try contacting them directly!
1. Is it possible to use UFS frames on the Powerslide HC EVO boot? 2. Since they seem really sturdy, How would these skates handle playing casual street hockey?
1- no, their mounting system is different! 2- that's a good question, i'm not a hockey expert but they seem to be stiff enough to perform well during a game; now only concern is the protection in the toes for the pucks, i don't have any data for if carbon only would be enough to protect against pucks
Currently I have a pair of Powerslide Next 80, its comfortable but a little too big (not responsive). My feet is 240 mm during rest and swells up to 245 mm during workout. I don't know if i should get the EVO on size 38 (240 mm) or size 39 (250 mm). What would you choose if you were me? I would like more control personally.
How well would Imperial One 80 skates work for a beginner pair as I have experience using inline skates but not enough to learn techniques and training with them. I've seen the abbrasive padding, 85a wheels, and other features but would like your input. P.S. if you say they are decent or good for beginners where would be the best to buy them?
Hi Tiago, pls can you tell me wich size you have in this boot? I have normally german 38,5 that is MP 24,5, maybe I think i have to buy german size 38 ??? Thank you in advance.
Hi Tiago, I’m wondering how you would rate these against the 2019 FR Igor skates. I ask mainly because I’m picking up my pair of the 2019 FR Igor skates after work tomorrow, and I’d be interested to know which you would opt for if you could only have one (I know you own both). I’ve been using Seba/FR carbon skates for a fair few years now (starting with the original Seba High Light Carbon, then the Seba High Light Carbon V2) and having recently bought another pair of nylon/plastic FRX skates to set up for training newbies (and having tried them out for myself) I can definitely say that carbon is the only way to go for those of us that turn so quickly, and use every ounce of responsiveness from the skate itself. I actually destroyed three of the rivets in the FRX skates on my first session (with a low-rocker 4x 80mm wheel setup) just by chaining a series of single-wheel turns together at high speed. Anyway, drifted off topic a bit there... just wondering which you would go for if you could only have one: the Powerslide or the FR Igor 2019?
Hi Tiago, thank you so much for the quick reply (waaaay quicker than I had expected). Well, you’ve just convinced me to pick up my Igor and drop in an order for the Hardcore Evo as well (like you, I own maaaaany pairs of skates, and use different ones for different things). Cheers for the suggestion :) Oh, on a slightly related note... what’s the best rockered triskate frame (ideally one that can be converted like the frames on those Evos) for the MFS/FR mount (if you know of any)? Ideally, I want a frame that doesn’t exceed 243mm length (same as I use for my rockered 80mm wheel setups)
What is the skate you recommend the most as entry level for some one who has aggressive skated? but has not done great at that i just want to skate around the city on rough terrain with out tripping over a huge dent on small wheels, and do some jumps on ledges or over stuff as well

Can u make how to select our 4 skates I don't have that experience to select , so I just do that just skate skate and skate.. so yeah please make a vid
Why powerslide only makes narrow feets only skates?? Evo has to be the most painful skates I ever wored and they also got greedy with frame selections getting skater stuck with their Trinity crap frames
The weak point of all powerslide products and unfortunately I have some of them are the buckles and straps. I don't care about the rest if I fall because something has come loose again because it can't withstand the strain. The nice thing is you no longer need a bell as these things rattle.
Evo and Tau skates hurts my ankles very badly, the edge carbon shell bites into my ankle bone very painfully. Tried bigger size and same problem, heat molding does not help at all. I promise I will never buy anything but Seba, Powerslide Is very known to make their skates with Chinese poor quality materials. The only reason Powerslide are very popular because the company are actually good at marketing and promoting, other than that all their skates are shit
Everybody has a different anatomy. Some brands/ models may feel better than others. I own many Seba skates ( & had a partnership with them) and I quite aggree with their built quality, but for me, the Hardcore Evo trinity are the skates that suit me better!

Je préfère Igor fr skates 2019
