Huntstyle You and everyone else there yelling at the top of their lungs still gives me chills to this day. My favorite drive of all time and the best crowd in AT&T stadium in a game to date
My greatest moment in football. That, and when Romo saved the Cowboys' season (for 1 more week) in 2013 in Washington on 4th and goal from the 10. And they call him a choke artist.
Soccercrazyigboman In 2007, those were the pieces to a championship team. Top 5 offense and top 10 defense. Albeit it was a older core than the 2014 team.
@@Soccercrazyigboman Cowboys only sent 11 players to the pro bowl, including 3 from the offensive line and the Cowboys were 2nd only to New England that regular season. Stop trying to say Romo never had a team.
Im so fudging pissed off because the giants threw a td to Saquon Barkley and they took the lead 31-30. And then the panthers got a freaking 63 yard field goal to win
1 incompletion on that drive . 6 years waiting to be a starter? 3 Head coaches? Of all the QB's in Dallas , Romo was the most fun to go see. Well for me.
Good for you. I’ve been a Cowboys fan for a ridiculous number of years, and I don’t remember all of them, but based on the ones I do recall, that’s the one I would have most wanted to attend.
This game in particular proves just how great romo always was. At this point in romo career he was Jedi like and could lead TD drives in 4th qtr clutch situations almost at will like manning Brady Rodgers brees. It is a shame that this was basically romo last game
Hahahaha LMAO this giants defense was one of the worst in NFL history Wtf are u talking about? Plus the fact romo was just throwing dump off passes short easy throws against a middle linebacker in his very 1st game. I mean he did absolutely nothing impressive unless u are impressed by 4 yards passes
That 3rd and 2 with 13 seconds left is his finest moment. I couldn’t have asked for a better childhood hero, he was an absolute warrior. He never won it all but honestly as a kid that taught me more about sports and life in general than him and us winning all the time would’ve. It taught me to cherish the good times and never quit when things get rough or hard no matter how easy it might be to quit. I hope I can meet Tony one day to thank him for being an amazing role model for me when I didn’t have any male role models in my life. Thank you Tony DC4L
Tony was not only an underrated QB, but unappreciated by some our own fans and organization. But, the things this guy alone without an Oline to provide him the much needed protection. Dak has that and has not done much. I just wish Tony and Jason have gotten their Superbowl rings. I feel bad for them both.
This was 3 years ago but man I miss romo I haven’t been so connected to these games when romo got kicked out :/ sad to see but man I wish romo had another chance to play as a cowboy if not at least on another team or even a coach. Where ever and hopefully whenever he lands on a team Ima be rooting for that team.
Watching this live, I had no idea that this would be his last win at Jerry world. I really thought that season was gonna be the year we built on 2014. I guess it goes to show that life isn't a storybook with happy endings. He got hurt, came back for a game and a half, got hurt again, and again one more time in the preseason and then the team moved on from him. I guess there are worse things from a fan's perspective, seeing as our offense is still chugging along, but the way he went out is incredibly sad. He had just come off the best season of his career, and then it all collapsed for him. He had so much more left in the tank, and it would have been incredibly satisfying to see Romo get to play for an extended amount of time in an era where our front office finally learned how to put together a roster and support a quarterback, as opposed to one where they were content to just let him run for his life.
Tony Romo had the most game winning drives of ANY Quarterback during his career, more than Brady, Brees, Rodgers etc. Tell me again how big of a "choker" he was
At 3:50, Eli is thinking, "I wish I could do what this guy is doing time and time again and not having to rely on my defense to carry me when it really matters."
Don't know WTF Chris Collingsworth was talking about. He has best 4th quarter QB rating of all time. Tony Romo was clutch. They could never build both sides of the ball at the same time. When the offense was fire, the defense was non existent. Whenever the defense was fire, he had no running game and receivers who couldn't catch the perfect balls he was throwing. And the greatest example of how different it is to QB the Cowboys is when Dallas played Denver and Peyton Manning. Romo threw for about 540 yards and 5 TDs. They lost 51-48. The first thing out of sports commentators mouths was how Romo 'didn't get the job done'. All the defense needed to do was get one stop. But it's Tony Romo's fault. Guy was a beast and as clutch as they come.
Just look at the command Romo had of the team. All Garrett did was watch that drive happen without his input. He might as well have been in line at the concession stands. We don't have that with Dak. Maybe someday? I don't know...but time is running out on the Dak era. We can't afford to waste Zeke and the defense the way we wasted our time with Romo and Witten.
Dunbar wasn’t a stud or anything, but I liked him before this game, and he was huge on the drive. Romo, of course, took over and did great not to spike it. There just aren’t many games like this one, and it’s incredibly memorable for me and lots of other Cowboys fans (maybe even Giants fans as well lol.)
Not trying to hate on dak but look at how much more smooth romo is in the clutch than dak. Dak looks confused in a 2 minute offense half the time despite all that talent surrounding him.
No championships but he came through when the team had nobody and was always and I mean always great teammate and a great player all those years salary cap hell
Romo should be a first ballot Hall of Famer and Eli should never be in it. Eli was just an average QB that won the lottery a few times. Romo carried the Cowboys. Sure, he made mistakes and even lost a few games, but not nearly as many as headline readers would believe.
I like Dak but in a time like this who would you count on Dak or Tony? At least with Romo he took chances down the field. Imagine how his career would have been if he had the current players now.
The bottom line is that most people think of Eli as a 4th quarter/postseason playoff genius. The guy was literally carried by the defense. He was a below average QB that was carried by the rest of the team and those are the facts.
Let’s see dak do this.......yea, right! Dak does not have that scrimmage line vision and presnap awareness and quick decision skill. That’s why he don’t deserve 40+million
Romo was a great quarterback on a garbage team. The year they gave his slot to Prescott--and wouldn't let Romo take the reins back when he was healed--was the year he would have taken them to the Super Bowl. That rookie wasn't gonna' do it. Typical stupid move by Jerruh Jones.
This was the last game Tony Romo ever started and finished at AT&T Stadium. I was lucky enough to be standing in the end zone filming for a local TV outlet. Arguably his greatest moment. If he doesn't go down the next week 2015 still would've had potential for something special.
I was at this game too. I remember losing my mind at the end of it. I never thought this would be the last game Tony Romo would ever win in Dallas. Im so lucky I got to go to this game! Ultimately I realized I liked Romo more than I did the Cowboys and how poorly he was treated and stopped supporting the team. Turns out I was a bigger Romo fan than Cowboys fan. And I stopped watching not because of Dak, but because of Jason Garrett and JJ. Im done with these clowns.
@@Dacowboys4life Cherish the experience. It was so great that it made up for the rest of the 2015 season. Beating out the rival G-Strings with 7 seconds left. And they call Romo a choke artist. I jumped so high when Witten caught that TD, I banged my head on the ceiling.
Tony Romo is probably the most underrated QB of all time. Dude put up big numbers year in and year out despite having bad teams, a bad front office, bad coaching staff and a mediocre line at times throughout his career. Never had a running game behind him until Murray and that o-line was great. By the time he had a solid team and a great line, his body was broken down. As far as Romo not being clutch, that's the biggest joke ever. He was far more clutch than any QB in the league throughout his career and the numbers show it.
