yesss!! my favorite series
omg are you flirting with me *bats eyelids* 😗
safiya x king kogi collab?? 💕😍
Yesssssssss!!! Collab please!!!!!!!
🍜 Hi Tyler. 😇
COLLAB PLZ!!!!!!!
You make these video tours look so effortless and I KNOW they’re not. You’re a lot like the dancers I knew at university: the reason it looks so easy is that you work your butt off behind the scenes. Thank you for going to all the effort to produce such high-quality, incredibly engaging content. You have to love what you do to make things this good. You keep makin’ it, I’ll keep watchin’ and supporting it. Have a great day! 🙂
Agreed. Been watching for years, and always delighted to see a new posting. They brighten my mornings to watch with coffee while hanging with my pets.
Well thanks so much for such a stellar comment! And yes, it is a ton of work 😮💨 but I genuinely enjoying planning, filming, editing, and sharing videos with the community. 🙇🏼♀️
lol I related to that so much because I was a dancer in school and all the cheerleaders would say they could do what we did because it looked "so easy"! There are countless hours of practicing nonstop and a lot of hardwork haha Just like what Martina is doing :D I love what she is doing
By God, how is this not on the travel channel already?! Impeccable, bravo Martina
It is on a travel channel, it’s called King Kogi 😉
@@KingKogi excellent!! Congrats!
@@KingKogi lol!
@@KingKogi stooop! That’s so exciting
Martina : Backstreet’s back…
Old 16th year old me from the past : ALRIGHT !!! 🎶
Also, that Purin looks fabulous and so creamy. Custard desserts are classic goodness
Martina. I've been watching you for 10+ years, and I am SO amazed at your continued growth. These videos are incredible. Watching you come into your own and have full control of every aspect of the content you create, from location, to direction, to music, to everything, is a true joy. Your style is impeccably your own. There aren't other creators like you. Lemme just say that we are all so grateful to be able to watch the content you put so much work into. We love you Martina!!
I hope Japan's tourism industry is giving you kickbacks because this series always makes me want to visit Japan so badly!
The slow eating of the pudding right behind the guy who wanted one but couldn't get it, had me in stitches 😂😂I hope he can get one the next day!
Japan’s tourism is not giving me kickback but I am taking pudding out of the hand of the Japanese people who want it 😂 sorry to that guy… but not sorry 🤤🍮
Welcome : )
I would of asked the person to split and gave him half i am a twin so i guess dont want to ruin someone day 😂😂
Now I might not be able to speak for all … but I’m pretty darn sure this is exactly what 90% of the old EYK fanbase wants and loves. We can always count on Miss Martina for an awesome travel/tour video .
Hey Sailor Star Sparkle !! I see your Disney Princess status is still intact, gathering pigeons, random cute puppies seeking your affection. AND THOSE BANGS !!!!! Life in Japan Agrees with you, you seem happy and healthy, the Best We Want for Martina. Stay Beautiful, inside and out, Just Like You Are. !!
Princess Pigeon or Princess Puppy whisperer 😂 yes life in Japan is going well for me 💕
What a beautiful in depth comment.
In the 25 years I’ve been living in Japan, I’ve been to Tokyo only a couple times.
I love your Tokyo Tours. They feel so cozy and laidback. That’s the type of tourism I like❤️
Goodness Martina - this series is so amazing and intensive!! You are sunshine in human form!! Please get a PO Box😭
I second this! Would love to send you some mail and cute things
Omg yesss
Martina we really appreciate the amount of love and effort you put into your videos
Martina!!!! I've been building some really small ladders recently, but you always make me feel proud of each rung. Sensing you love and good health.
Even the smallest ladder counts, that is so wonderful to hear ~
@@KingKogi needed your light today! Missing my family who is in heaven this holiday
I’m so happy for you❤
I love your tokyo tours. Japan is one of those countries that I've always wanted to visit, but i've always been too controlled by my anxiety to to go- the idea of traveling to a country so far from home whose language I know nothing off is absolutely terrifying to my brain, esp as a solo traveler. these tours always make it feel a little more approachable.
There are 2 different ways:
1. Try nearer country with same language first, take it as practice.
2. Invite your friends in the first visit
I'm doing #2. I have visited Japan once (and the only time I have been abroad). I'm going alone next year.
Learn the language or at least common phrases + hiragana and katakana. You'll be pretty much set. There are also translation apps to help you with the rest.
I hope you will come to Japan one day!
There’s a really nice book on Japan, “Tabitomo Life in Japan” it’s bilingual and has a lot about the culture. The cover is pink with two people eating sushi on it.
You can show it when you need to ask something.
Same.
I just wanted to encourage you to travel to Japan if it is your wish. I just got back from a solo trip. I am a gal who knows absolutely no Japanese. It was way easier than I thought. Once you get over that first hurdle of anxiety, you will be so proud of yourself and realize most of that worry was for nothing.
This is honestly my favorite series on RUclips. I stop everything and settle in with my meal, a snack, or a drink pretty much immediately.
LOVE that shirt!! Also I appreciate how in depth you go with the directions, even recommending quiter roads. As someone who's probably not going to travel to Japan anytime soon, it's a breath of fresh air to see video footage of areas that aren't the typical touristy spots.
Also just wanna say Martina that you look amazing!! You look so much happier being back in Japan and I'm happy you're getting to live out your dream! Thank you for all your hard work.
2nd Floor coffee shop looks INCREDIBLE I’m obsessed. I love the vibe the owners have curated and the artistry they put into their foods and drinks.
I was shocked when I first walked in, it was SO COZY and it has the stark comparison of the business neighbourhood around it.
Idk what it is about you but every time I watch your videos (ESPECIALLY these tours) there is this bubbly and joyous fondness for life blooming in my heart. God it sounds so cheesy, but it's true! I think your warmth and enthusiasm is rubbing off on me or something. Your work and attention for detail is much appreciated, Martina. Wish you luck in your future creative endeavours!
Love this! Thank you! P.S. Looking for your mom in the comment section. 😂🌳😂
📸 🌺 😃🌸
I love this series so much!! 🥺💖💖
I’m so glad 💕
Hi Martina! So I got a little emotional at the start of this video. Not exactly sure why, maybe the music, editing/filming style, or your voiceover. But it just felt comforting when your video started and I felt safe. Thanks for creating these videos. Side note: you and I met a while back when we were both living in Korea.
6:02 THATS THE CLASSIC VIETNAMESE MOM POSE (ESPECIALLY AROUND LUNAR NEW YEAR) 🤣🤣
Good to know this is a mom thing around the world 📸 🌸 👁️ 👄 👁️ 🌺
I absolutely love the Tokio Tours series! They are so laid back and chill
As a fellow EDS haver I felt that when you said worth the knee pain 😂 if I’m using stairs it better be worth my while dammit 😂
Every step youuuu take 🎤 🎵
Every move you maaaake 🎤🎶
In this context I very much was “watching you” 😂
You have such a fantastic way of creating an atmosphere with these videos. I felt a little hurried this morning by being woken up traumatically by my alarm and watching this just zenned me out. Made me want to read a book. King Kogi Forever!
Your tour videos are wonderful! We're arriving on December 11th from 🇨🇦 and will be using some of the gems you've presented 😃
Thank you for the Tokyo Tours! I haven't been to Japan in a while and they bring back happy and fuzzy memories. I hope you are having a great time!
I love how the factoids are like little rewards after the advert breaks - Great placement 😊 Always brilliantly edited.
❤️ Martina's creativity
I don't know if you're aware of Tejano singer Selena, but her husband Chris Perez came out with hot sauce a few years ago and also has a hot sauce holster to bring it with you. Maybe you can get one of those hahaha
I think my biggest regret was not pursuing study abroad in Japan while in college. I appreciate all the effort you put into these awesome videos and that you allow me to live vicariously through to an extent
the b-rolls, the filming (background blur, use of large focal lengths, slow motion) the edit, the music ...all top-notch, elevating the amazing storytelling even more 🧐🤓🤩😁👴👨😄
Your Tours are my FAVORITE thing on RUclips! And the quality is AMAZING!! Thank you for working your bottom off on making these amazing videos for us!
I needed this so much today ❤
Your videos bring such inner peace and comfort to face a tough pain day, I'm very grateful for your view of the world, and your build a ladder advice ❤
Thank you Martina!
These are always such a delight to watch! I’m lucky to catch it while having breakfast, otherwise I would get extremely jealous and hungry (jungry?) and I cannot wait to be able to travel to Japan myself. As a side note, I love that Martina always points out the accessibility of a location.
Chinese major here! Since Mandarin is the official language of China, it's perfectly fine to just say Chinese. When you'd want to specifically call it out it's if it's a different dialect/language spoken in China (ie Shanghainese or Cantonese), or if you're trying to make comparisons between different languages spoken in China. If you're not sure exactly, then Chinese is fine 😊
Phew 😮💨 thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
I’m going to Japan next year. I’ll be in Tokyo 4 weeks and I want to explore every part of it. Love the videos. Keep up the great work.
I’m putting that Chinese ramen shop on my list. Thank you Martina
Ohhh have a most excellent exploration of this marvellous mega city 🏙️
Love how you show the daily-life/local side of Tokyo! My favorite part of traveling and exploring new place is getting a glimpse to what it'd be like to live in the area, and your videos really scratch that itch!!
Been loving this series. Like going on a relaxing trip with a friend
That’s so great to hear Andrew. Unfortunately, one of us would be fighting over the last purin 🍮 haha
This brings me so much joy. Tokyo Tours is a perfect series. So beautiful.
Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. Greetings from Bulgaria 🇧🇬 as always 🌸
That towering scone. 🤤 I actually avoided Tsukiji when I’ve been there, due to how intensely busy it looked. An off-peak day might be just the time for me to explore.
I live for these kind of videos. Got my popcorn and Pepsi Lime soda ready to enjoy while watching. Thank God it's weekend too.
Martina, you just got 10000 cool points for the Backstreet boys joke lol. ❤️😊
I'll probably never get to visit Japan, but these tours make me feel like I'm exploring alongside you! Hugs from Nova Scotia
Martina, I love your vibe in these! They are so relaxing, and just fun. I am thinking of taking my parents to Japan next year, and I know it won't be as stress-free as this, but I 100% appreciate the elevator, accessibility tips and tricks as my parents will absolutely NEED it. It is a reminder to me that not just people in wheelchairs need elevators, but some of us regular folks do too!
One day I hope to go to Japan, I’m just so nervous. The last time I left my hometown I couldn’t leave my room unless I was with someone. Your Tokyo tours have given me hope that one day I can go and at least know a bit about how to get around and what to eat lol. I’ve been watching your videos for probably 7 years now and I can still say you are still enjoyable to watch as ever!!! One day I’ll go to Japan and have the best time of my life and will go “ I know this place Martina has been here before!” Thank you for these videos I enjoy every single one 😊❤
Thank you queen for yet again blessing us with some Tokyo Tours
Living the dream! Petting doggies, enjoying a good walk and eating good food. Thanks Martina for doing these tours, cannot wait to have little adventures of my own in Tokyo in the future. Sending love from the Netherlands!
Saw this video on my feed and realized….ITS MARTINA! Holy guacamole I missed your content! Looking forward to more! -Yuck Trading Co.
Oh HO! The thumbnail doing its job 😮💨 glad to see you here, hope you stick around to watch the other Tokyo Tours and see you in the comment section again.
i love these tokyo tours! 💟
Martina, my seven year old is eagerly awaiting the day you decide to sell Kogi pig plushies.
This is "all bark and no bite" ... says the woman who is known to be darn near impervious to spice. I really like these videos. Actually far more entertaining and well done than most travel shows.
Please never stop doing this series. My fiance and I are planning on honeymooning in Japan, and you're giving me so many good places to visit!
omg!! We're planning that too 🥰 I plan to use her Tokyo tours to know where to go
woke up with a headache but as soon as i saw a new tour vid was up i got out of bed so i could watch proper on the tv 😊😊 have to say your hair looks extra flipping cute, especially the fringe
your videos are so chill and help me zone out enough to not think about stuff that's on my mind. thank you so much for continuing to post ❤
Thank you for this lovely tour ! It makes me want to visit Japan again... I'll be sure to use your advice !
planning a trip to Japan very soon and these video are verryyy helpful 😍
Martina san~ great stuff! My life is full of coincidences. I ate ramen with leftover rice since the broth was so good. I didn’t know ppl did that, then a day later, you mention it in this video. 😂
These tours make me all the more excited to go back as we’ll be there in the spring!
Im definitely going to check out 2F Coffee when i go back to Japan. The purin looks amazing. So jealous!!
Martina, you do such an excellent job with your videos!! You put so much heart and purpose behind your projects, it is a true pleasure to watch. I just want to send you some love, respect, and appreciation. Thanks for sharing your beautiful creativity and interests with us. I’ll take all the Tokyo Tours I can get! 😆✌🏼💕
I want a nibble of all please! LOL. This was so lovely to watch while struggling with my pain that makes it hard to travel about. Thank you for letting us see this awesome adventure/cool sights/helpful etc.
the little quiz are so cute XD
King kogi SNEAKERS?!?!?!?!
🥹 yes!! I’m testing them out and I love them~
@@KingKogi So what you're saying is I need a pair?!
I hope this is a sign of new merch to come!
Thank you for including accessibility
Hello from Paris
Kogi says, "wee wee" translated to French is "oui oui"
I just learned "Conbini" this morning! What a perfect time for youtube to suggest this! I also learned - eki, Departo, and basutei
YES!!!!
Hi! You're first
Yes, ramen not spicy.
For a person who can eat coco curry lvl 10 and wish for higher spice… mmmhmmmmm 🤣🤣🤣
Maybe my tongue is broken haha
Woke up to such fun at 6:00 am! It is always great when you post. And I know a few people who carry hot sauce with them 😂 you never know when you’ll need it, like with the oyster 🦪
Fantastic as always
Curiosity: Is ありがとう[ah-ree-GAH-to] or [ah-REE-gah-to]? Martina, I'm loving these tours! The way you describe what you eat is divine and full of details. I miss your food porno voice, though LOL. Another great vid! Looking forward to the Osaka one! Take care. 🙏🏽
Iif you want pronounciation vids (along with some very self deprecating humour) check out Dogen youtube channel
I love how this video does not feel rushed! I got to savor and admire japans beautiful locations ❤thanks to you!
what an immersive video, loved every second of it and felt like going on a walk with an old friend :) I haven't been on YT in a while, gotta check out your latest content, Martina! Hope you're keeping up well
Love this one! :D I recently just came back from a Japan trip and going through withdrawal... Will have to go visit the 2F coffee shop and robot mart next time!
OMG YOUR SAILOR MOON SHIRT MARTINA I love it! Do you perchance remember where you got it? (also ty for another amazing Tokyo Tours :D )
I love how informative your videos are in a light and condensed way with so much personality. It feels like a close friend showing me around; what a pleasure.
15:45 reminds me of another youtuber I watched who went to a robot-place in Korea and her husband wanted an ice cream but the robot spilled everything and they couldn't get a refund lol
Loving the focus on accessibility
the editing is so fantastic
id love to see a stream of you just editing videos
your creative brain is unmatched
One thing I wanna point out is the sign of the ramen shop says 支那面 and 支那 is a derogatory term Japan used to refer to China during WWII when Japan occupied parts of China. In the 80s, the Chinese government, through diplomatic channels, officially objected to the term and the Japanese government agreed not to use it anymore. Now the term is mostly dead in Japanese. Martina said in the video that the Ramen shop has been running for 30 something years, which means it opened in the 90s. I don't know why the owner chose to use the term and I don't want to guess. The fact that the owner opened a Chinese style ramen shop but used a derogatory term to refer to its style of ramen is baffling to me.
I love this series and Martina 😊 My Japan travelling plans are on hold due to illness. But these videos give me a sense of seeing and exploring Japan in the comfort of my home and current life. Thank you!
HA! My Mom does The Exact Same Thing when she wants me to taking pics of her -!?!! 😂💗
Man, you fit right in!
I've already been to Japan a handful of times, but next year in February my husband and I are coming back for our honeymoon. The last time we were there, we weren't even engaged yet.
Your videos make me so excited to be back. I saw on insta that you're going to have an Osaka one soon, can't wait to see that cause my ojisan used to live there!!
I haven’t watched one of these videos in so long and it’s so refreshing to see Martina so passionate
I don't trust Martina spicy food reviews, because i know nobody trusts my spicy food reviews. From what I've seen we have similar tolerance. One of the first dinner outings i ever had with my girlfriend went unexpectedly for one of us. I told her an appetizer Japanese yaki tori pepper wasn't hot at all, because to me it was like a jalapeno popper. She took a bite and said the rest of the meal was ruined because it was all spicy. I like to say our relationship is founded on misplaced trust.
Hey Martina, I just wanted to let you know that the name of the ramen restaurant you visited (支那)is actually considered a slur and derogatory towards Chinese people
Love how you added a Q&A let's me discover a new word and it's definition. Definitely subscribing because I love how informative you are❤️
Welcome Darth Raver! Glad you enjoyed the info, I’m a nerd for it 🤓
Just LAVVVUUUU ^.^ you fill my little CatPotataHeart
Love your hairstyle in this video! I do those braids too, they look so cute!
Loving these video type content, so informative!! Hope to go one day to Japan and enjoy all of this
Really loving your new video series!! The production value is amazing on these!
Hi , my GF and I are heading to Tokyo for a month this Weds, thanks for all the informative videos we are definitely going to try these places out!
Hope you're having fun! Or you might still be on a plane
I really needed a fun video today. Thanks, Martina. Also, your t-shirt is super cute.
I have visited two of the ramen and udon places you've featured in your old videos. The udon place with tempura burdock and beef, I loved that one, even though I am generally not a fan of udons. I went back for the second time :D. And because I went to this udon place, I was able to find the particular Barley tea that I was looking for. So thank you very much for featuring that place. I am planning for a Tokyo trip in May. I am looking forward to try this ramen place as well as going back to that udon place again.
Woohoo!!! That is SO good to hear! I find Tokyo is an especially overwhelming city regarding choice of food since there is SO much
@@KingKogi In case you might be interested, the tea was Hakubaku Marutsubu Mugicha. The one in yellow/gold trim package with diamond shape teabags. I find this one had more delicate and better taste than the Itoen brand that came in blue package.
i thought my mom was the only one to surround herself with foliage for photo ops during travel 😂😂
the quality of this series really makes me feel like i just popped on the travel channel, i love it.
your bangs are so cute in this video!!!
I just love this series! You’re the best tour guide Martina ☺️💖 can’t wait to travel to Japan one day!
I hope you get a PO Box so we can send ladder building cards, notes, and other nice things 💕
"Thick buttered bottoms" is going to be my new username.
