I have come to really LOVE these long stories concerning places I am interested in. Stories about Hawai’i, and how folks come to live there, now fascinate me.
Wowww, Gabriel, you are really amazing ... Can you realize how many lives you've lived , until now, compared to sooo many other people ? My english is too poor , in order to put into words my highest respect towards you and your fascinating, life choices , your sense of adventures .. My best greetings from Paris , stay always safe !
You have ability and versatility. Unfortunately many of the homeless in Hawaii came from the mainland with the same idea and are now living on the streets of Honolulu.
06:00- I am confused. The only north shore I know of is on O’ahu. The only Kiluea I know of is on the big island, which is one of the volcanoes, there. Did you suddenly go to O’ahu and the big island?
To the best of my recollection I returned a rain jacket that had cost around $200 and managed to get a full refund on it. But I think I'd bought it in Alaska a couple years earlier, so I'm not sure how that worked. Somehow it did.
@@GabrielTravelerVideosYou're just stretching out these videos to fill up your seven days in 'paradise'. What a cop-out. Josh Cahill just flew to Cuba. Seems he still has his cojones.
Wow. Almost like the show where those guys travel places in Asia with no money at all. Gabe, how long did you stay in one place the longest since moving out of your parent's home?
I was there from 2002 to 2007, other than a three month trip to India in 2006. In fall of 2007 I went on a big trip to Asia, came back to the US in spring of 2008, then drove to Canada and worked there for a few months. Then I moved back to Portland in fall of 2008, worked for ten months until August of 2009, moved out of my apartment and went on a trip to Greece, Egypt and Turkey and never moved back to Portland after that.
Yes, definitely, would love to do the Camino de Santiago and the PCT. I've done long distance trekking in Nepal: ruclips.net/video/1CSA2zFd_7k/видео.html
@@GabrielTravelerVideosYES, however, GREAT flexibility and an equal great willingness NOT to live in comfort (with plumbing and AC for example) are necessary as well. A dude from HI told me, tellingly: “Anyone can live in Hawai’i. They just have to WANT IT!”
Yes and no, I'm still doing some of it, hitchhiking around, camping, wilderness backpacking, staying in hostels sometimes, etc., but I'd rather not do it all out of absolute necessity because of being flat broke. I'll admit, it's nice to go out on a fun day of hitchhiking and then come back to my one bedroom apartment.
This is the time to be in Maha Kumbh Mela - India, a spiritual festival(happens every 12 years) from 13th Jan - 28th Feb where 450 million visitors are expected to visit from all over the world and local. It is the largest human gathering on the planet. Should've shown your viewers about incredible Sadhus and their faith.
@@ChadHoskinOhio how long have you been watching Gabriel travels ? I have been watching for over 5 years now, and I can tell you that he doesn't have a thief bone in his body 😆
Frankly, I still marvel at how you are able to hold your phone to keep yourself perfectly in frame, whilst filming yourself.
I don't film with a phone but with a DJI Osmo Action camera. But yes I've gotten pretty good at knowing where to point the camera.
Absolutely LOVE the title of this video!! I have a busy day ahead of me, but it’s saved and I’ll definitely be watching this later tonight. 👏🌴☀️

“It’s not exactly fun living in an old folks home in Eureka in the rain in winter…” So funny. You’ve had a crazy life.
Gabe’s life is not crazy. It is full of deliberate choices he has sanely made based upon the options given to him at the time.

I always enjoy listening to your travel and life stories, Gabe 🥹
You are truly a renaissance man.

I really enjoy your videos Gabe. Stay safe brother
So keen to know if your friend ever got back to you!
Working on the next video now.
Thank you Gabriel🙂💙👍

Some of the names in Hawaii are duplicates. There's a Kilauea on the north shore of Kauai.
great now Gabriel will be stuck in space time loop.
@ Space time loop sounds fun to me. 😛
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Ahhh brilliant .. thanks Mate!

Nice. Beautiful Hawaii.
I'm down to do that Nāpali Coast hike with you next time you decide to go. I'm on Oahu . let me know 🤙🤙
I love your stories and narration in your videos. Gives me a chance to be away from the tv and still enjoy your videos. ❤
I watch these videos during night shifts
on my phone, I work as a guard at a lobby of ahitech building. But at home
I can put RUclips on the TV.
thank u for doing the thankless work as a security guard ❤️❤️❤️@@יוסףסגל
Would be so cool to see you go to a hippie commune or something like that.
Really enjoying your Hawaii series! Curious how yiu scraped together enough money for the flight after working at the old folks farm?

Did you find out what happened to Yeeshua? I enjoyed your story time though. 😀
Yes, all will be revealed in the next video.

And?
Hawaii is one of those destinations that you can fly to with hardly any money and still have an amazing vacation.
Yep, as long as you're very flexible.

In Israel you can come with a lot of money and leave the country very poor. Almost like Manhattan.
Another interesting story, looking forward to next videos. Safe journey.
