Oh my lord Muttley. I am speechless and to be honest that will come in so handy you wont believe it. We are working so hard to make this become real and that will for sure kick us a long way in the right direction my friend. I have wanted for such a long time to go back there as it is calling for us to find and share some serious great and interesting locations and even pieces of history from the ground. By the way Eagle Eyes is working on something special for you that he wants you to have so will let everyone see it when it is finished. You will love that :) Thank YOU for your incredible kindness and we shall together share some very special history. Greetings from us and be safe.
@@WW2HistoryHunter I'll join in the thanks to you, Muttley! I'm not in a position to contribute at the moment, so it's heroes like you that help to bring us all such fantastic content. And I like nothing better than to see HH and EE get the funds to do the thing they love doing.

Really loved that you found that small "track" feature. To be able to find that now, is totally amazing!! And way to go EE on finding that large food container. All the cartridges and the connector for one of the radar sites was awesome. That lotion bottle was also pretty neat; gives you more insight on the men that were there. Loved and enjoyed it all. Thanks for taking us. Again, waiting anxiously for our next adventure. Stay well and smile :)
It’s surprising that so much of the cables are still there. I would have thought that they would have been collected and sold for scrap by now. Other than the damage on the 50 caliber shell, they all looked in really good condition. These early warning radar systems really hampered the Allies in the beginning and must have really had them scratching their heads as to why the Germans knew they were coming. I’ve seen documentary about the radar systems of WW2. It was a real battle of trying to build a betting warning system as well as developing jamming devices.
What wonderful finds. You and EE bringing WWII history artifacts back to the surface for all to see that have not seen the light of day since the battle action took place are truly amazing. Thank you both and as always " good hunting "
Thank you again HH and EE for another exciting and informative adventure. I for one can never get enough of this type of education... Till next time my friends be safe, careful and above all stay healthy so you can continue to educate us all about the second World War...
I wonder how many people goofed around on that cement foundation not even realizing what it was, just kicking those cables around, at least no idiots destroying or defacing things. Great video as usual.
Well actually not a lot of people even knew it was there as it was covered by heavy undergrowth for 60 pluss year in a forest :) Today it has been hammered away and is no more. Thanks William.
This was awesome! That cable connector was an unexpected find but amazing nonetheless. The cartridges were great finds as well. Now we know there was a radar system with gun positions to protect it. It'll be very interesting to see the buried bunker if you guys can find it. I love Eagle Eye's imagination. His fortress was outstanding! Take care and stay safe. 💖💯
Hi 👋 EE & HH, onto another adventure, lucky us. Have to say you are very creative EE . A bang up job on every project you have taken on. The German early warning radar systems were impressive and ahead of their time, just like most of their technology during that era. Was also curious as to why a large amount of connector cable was left. I would think it could have been put to good use, at the time. Many treasures there. Thanks for taking us EE & HH.
Well i guess no one bothered to remove them. There are hundreds of meters with cables still in the ground and we followed a signal almost 300 meters. Thanks Laura.

So very interesting to hear you say that there are times you find the empty 50 caliber shell casings in a line in the ground, indicating the direction of a strafing run. I had never thought of that revealing a bit of history. Those 20mm shells looked like they are in great shape - nice find! Food containers are also interesting finds - the fact they are made of aluminum is surprising as I thought the metal would be used for other war needs. Good find EE! The radar cable connector was a rare find and I can understand your joy at finding it! Great tour of this site! Stay safe and Stay well!!
Yes there are clues everywhere Donald and we love to find even the smallest and it will tell us something and we can learn from that. Thanks so much for your fantastic support and we send a HUGE greetings your way :)
German radar in WW2 has always been fascinating to me, so thank you for sharing this video. The number of spent cartridges in that area testifies to the intense activity taking place in the skies above it. 20mm, .50 Cal. and even 8mm. The skies would have lit up with flashes and bangs, on a regular basis. German radar was that important to the Allies. And to find that Bakelite cable end, though. What a fantastic and rare find! So glad you saved it. There would have been cable running all over that site. Communications to and from the radars, power supply from generator station, even phone lines to the Flak positions. The effort involved just to run all this stuff is just astounding in itself. Thanks again! Cheers to you all!
That cable is just a fragment of what is still in the ground there. We have found at least 6 other cables running in the ground for several hundred meters. Will go back and look for more later. Thanks Peter :)
Another great location. EE you did an excellent job building the model of a defensive position. Thank you for another wonderful Sunday history lesson. Can't wait for the next adventure.

What awesome evidence of this radar installation, HH! Evidence of the defensive firing installations and strafing activities of the Allied, too. Eagle Eyes is quite the engineer, within defense position he created!❤️
Such great finds proving the Grrman radar systems, a food container and beautiful examples of various cartridges. I love the way you paint a word picture for us to imagine the Germans defending and the Allies coming in and strafing the area. Thank you for yet another fantastic WW2 location! ❤️
Those cartridges were in great condition, looks like the soil around there is quite sandy. I really appreciate you cleaning up that connector and cable. Amazing to see the construction is very similar to what is used today on some apparatus. I still can't get my head around the 9 cores within the cable. There was an earth symbol on the socket face, but the other numbered markings are not usual for a power connector. Thanks very much for the video.

How long did it take for your to construct the Fortress EE? Really like it. Good thing your Dad came prepared with another pair of clean gloves. Hallo H H and E E, on today's episode we are spoilt for choice we have 20mm 50mm shell casings all in fantastic condition but the pièce de résistance is the Bakelite connection for the Radar system. OK, so today's best find is... definitely the electrical connector 🙂 It looks a lot like post-war connectors I've seen for high-voltage situations, particularly those for major concerts, which is interesting. Great stuff!
@@WW2HistoryHunter Very cool. I figure that the connector type was so successful they saw no reason to update it, which says a lot about the engineering behind it lol. That radar canle at 18:50 I would definitely consider a defensive weapon. While it didn't fire guns or anything, it did detect the enemy to be attacked and defeated.
Time for an adventure again, I'm curious again. Radar was one of the great breakthroughs of the war. A beautiful model from EE, now from LEGO. :) Nivea is een ouder merk dan ik dacht.
The gang plug is a cool idem. I imagine you don't find those vary often. I repair factory equipment for a living. I've used modern versions of that connector.
It was not 250 DCV, but 25 DCV! It seemms that it was a low voltages source as by many of german instruments! Also the Flak- guidance instruments were also with that voltage.
It's interesting that this type of cable connector isn't much different from ones used today. The ground coming out and screwed to the connector comes from the copper braiding that surrounds the conductor wires. This provides RF shielding to the cable, and maintains a continuous ground reference. I've wired a lot of the modern versions. And to think that the main component of RADAR back then can now be found in your microwave lol.
Just such a line of .50cal cases i found behind the crash site of a german FW190! I was told that it was grounded by a Thunderbolt during a dogfight. The US ammo was from 1943 to 1944.
Sorry, my failure 25 V stood at the outside of this female connector! Inside is 250 V good to read! Also the insulation ring is just in a good shape after that long years
Wow that is pretty much incredibly kind Laura and all we can say is THANK YOU for that. It will for sure help us to go out and share tons more :) Greetings from us and be safe :)

The TW on the headstamp on the .50 cartridges denotes Twin Cities Ordnance Plant, in Minneapolis MN so your theory holds up.
So cool to read and thanks Dave :)
Thank you so much!!
You're welcome!
Great new adventure, awesome my friend 💙💛👍👍
Thanks for the visit
Thanks! for EE. :)
Your support to our work is so greatly appreciated Laura and thanks for that from us.
Cool to know my friend and loved to find that. Thanks for great comment and for watching.
Just such a line of .50cal cases i found behind the crash site of a german FW190! I was told that it was grounded by a Thunderbolt during a dogfight. The US ammo was from 1943 to 1944.
There you go and thanks for sharing and for being here.
Very interesting 😮 13:23

I want to thank you guys for sharing this with me you already know that the Atlantic Wall is one of my most favorite spots and people thought that Adolf Hitler was insane I highly doubt that I know in Germany it is illegal to say Adolf Hitler's name in public at least that's what I've heard I totally believe he was a genius and what I mean by a genius he was highly intelligent well I want to thank you and eagle-eyes for sharing this with me the more I hear in the more I see I don't believe everything that's written in books especially about Adolf Hitler I will never condone what he did was right but all the artifacts that you find I know that they're going to people that are going to cherish them again to you and eagle eyes thank you very much eagle eyes I hope that you're taking care of that arm I am one of your biggest fans I've been watching you grow up now for quite a while do grown up into such a big man your dad has taught you so much knowledge is key to understanding what truly happened in World War II in your learning this eagle eyes someday you will teach your kids machine thing that your dad taught you I am very proud of you I kind of wish I had a young man like you that was so interested in history will you guys be safe I can't wait until the next adventure you're making me proud eagle eyes proud to be German
