Hello other Michiganders! 👋🏼 I have been saving up because I plan on doing a 3 store run when I go here. I want to hit Michigan fine yarns in person, Park Avenue Knits in Detroit and there is another one in Royal Oak I think it is Ewenique Knits or something like that. The name escaped me as soon as I started to type. My husband promised to drive and not complain at all. I don't have Yarny friends to go on the excursion on, so he gets drafted. 😆

I LOVE that Ella Rae chunky! I've made myself a hexagon cardigan in that yarn and it is so incredibly squishy! 💕 It has a large color range, too, which I like.

Our neighbor at our previous house had a huge black walnut tree. The squirrels used to steal them and bring them to my yard.

I would hold together the Mad Tosh with the Rowan kid silk - they knit/crochet up beautiful warm and cozy hats. The Ella Rae is a beautiful shade too! ❤❤❤ great haul 🎉

I really like the Deluxe Super-wash, Merino light gray DK! I prefer DK & Sport wt yards. I enjoy making soft Baby Doll, & 18" Doll & some barbie size doll clothes, also women's wraps & shawls...I'm so happy that I found you a year ago, I've learned 99% of what I'm now crocheting from you. You could crochet a DC net Afghan base ( like people do for tartan patterns) in a coordinating colour and then weave through the art yarns for a lovely woven effect .
The fine weights could be crocheted in a loose chain to make it thick and strong enough to weave through the mesh
I think I honestly have as much fun watching you open packages as I would opening them myself.
I love Your "Mystery Bag/Box Opening Days! The fibers were so pretty and unique, happy for you. "Black Walnut " is perfect, we had a tree in the back yard so I have fond memories of collecting nuts for our neighbors. 💖🧶✨🛍️

I've been to their store one time. It is a very nice store. I was a little overwhelmed with the amount of yarn they have. The owners were very nice!

I always test the skeins on my neck as well (it must look a bit odd at the store!) as wool and some acrylics make me itchy.

There is a heavy paper product that is washable, interesting to see different materials, Kraft Tex. Beautiful yarns. Some specialty yarns I use as edgings, think the tape yarn could be added to a hat, crocheted on, as a brim? Cuff of a top or sweater, just a few ideas...

Oh my gosh my sister is going to have to do a little road trip from Bundaberg to Childers for that beautiful Wagtail yarn. That is just gorgeous. Country Queensland drives are the best. Yes, that Madeline Tosh(?) yarn is so gorgeous! You make the prettiest things, so I think you should keep both hanks of that yarn!
I would make a cowl, would look cool with a wool coat or down coat. If it’s DK weight or sock weight you can double strand and some of the thinner yarn can be mixed with thicker yarn. At least in knitting you can, not sure about crochet. I like the Rowen yarn too, made a hat in the felted wool. Love to watch you open the bags so much fun. I’m blessed to have a friend/lawyer who gets me some of the kits from Purl Soho. He told me he ordered the nine note bundle in color begonia to make the arpeggio cowl. Thank goodness for knitting and crochet, helps with stress. Love to see all the bright colors. Going to check out my local JOANNS tomorrow first time going.
