      Because he had nothing to do with that SB run. He had the Legion of Boom as his defense and Marshawn Lynch as his RB. He was asked to be a game manager. The following year when he’s asked to be the hero, he throws a game losing pick in the endzone to lose the SB. That’s why he’s treated as if he didn’t win one.

    I definitely dropped my head down when Lamar didn’t slide on that run and got hit so hard that he was grimacing. From here on he just has to take some safety precautions if he wants the Trophy. Been watching since the days of the Baltimore Colts, and I have never seen anyone like Lamar.

    • @sharkh20
      @sharkh20 14 дней назад +3

      He went down to the ground the way he always does, but just got caught by a stray. Better than sliding and getting blasted in the head. 15 yard penalty/concussion isn't really a trade we want Lamar to make.

    • @theangrypelican5270
      @theangrypelican5270 14 дней назад +1

      @@sharkh20Agreed. Outside of Tua, the slide seems to get QBs hurt more than just normally absorbing contact anyway. If Lawrence hadn't slid earlier this year, he wouldn't have gotten KOed. Flacco took a ton of massive hits in his career and the only time he legitimately got his bell rung was when he slid against Kiko Alonso.

  • @SurlyDuff814
    @SurlyDuff814 15 дней назад +21

    Lamar has gotten better every year and now has Henry to draw focus away as well. Not to mention their defense is starting to click and play downhill very aggressively. Frankly, if they play to their strengths (running the ball, read option, pre-snap motion), they should make the Super Bowl.
    That said, I am 100% anticipating them to throw it 847 times in a one score game against KC because they have this weird obsession with only beating KC on the arm on Lamar.

    Steelers were always going to get points and make adjustments, and they 100% the beter team in the 3rd, but the ravens run game had a night of nights, and while heyward got hurt at somepoint, Steelers still one of the better rush defences. Thought Lamar missed two bad throws on the same drive, Andrews then underthrowing Likely but other than that, perfect from him, did take a few hits tonight though. Not sure what happens with Tomlin, id keep him personally but he did mess up by taking Harris out in the 2nd after 3 good runs so who knows. Harbaugh V Tomlin games have been unreal to watch so I hope it continues. Rosengarten had a great game V TJ watt, has to be spoken about. Defence had a bonehead play on Steelers 2nd Td but still a good performance and had sacks at big times. Having Hendry might go against Lamar for MVP but they both compliment eachother so well and both get a boost in numbers from it. Gotta settle the 2021 score in buffalo.

    (1) Lamar is not the MVP because he has a loosing playoff record. (2) Lamar is not even the MVP of his team. Derrick Henry is the Raven's best player.

      "AP NFL Most Valuable Player Award
      The AP NFL Most Valuable Player Award (NFL MVP) is presented annually by the Associated Press (AP) to a player in the National Football League (NFL) adjudged to have been the most valuable in that year's regular season. While there have been many selectors of NFL MVPs in the past, today the MVP award presented by the AP is considered the de facto official NFL MVP award and the most prestigious." Note: In case you missed these words, I'll repeat them- "that year's REGULAR season." Furthermore, if it wasn't for Lamar, Derrick wouldn't be doing nearly as well as he has been doing. Keep in mind that Derrick has been playing in the league for 8 years, and is having one of his very best years now, even though he's 31 years old.

      MVP is a regular season award stupid. And man I didn’t know Henry threw 4,000yards and 41TDs for Lamar. It’s not like Lamar didn’t lead the league in TD passes before Henry ever got there but whatever
