I think this will be a great spread to do for my family when I visit because it’s not designed to ask earth shattering questions. I like limiting the scope of the readings in this case to 3 months. I wanted to ask you if you read with reversals. I noticed that none of your cards were reversed. Is this something you always do or do you just not do reversals with this spread?
Personally, I love this one, it's a really good spread. Regarding reversals, I don't use them, I did initially over 30 years ago but I found they kept getting in the way, breaking my concentration and flow because I had to 'stop and think' about the card and it's position. There are plenty of 'negative' cards in the deck that if there is an obstacle that needs to be seen, the cards will find a way. So, I made the decision to stop using them and the readings just started to flow. I still teach reversals but I'm transparent about the fact that I don't use them and allow the students to decide. Interestingly, at the UK Tarot conference in October a presenter asked a room full of professional readers 'who uses reversals?' and there was a wall of empty air space... it appears I'm not alone! The presenter said that it's a 'cultural' thing and that in Europe and the US if she asked the same question a sea of hands would raise. This is the beauty of tarot in the real world, outside of text books, professional readers find what works for us, the deck, the spread and the reading style that best serves our clients. The important thing is to let your cards know what style you are going to use and let them deliver the results. I talk to my cards, before, during shuffling and as I'm laying them. Sometimes out loud, and sometimes with an inner voice but I'm always communicating with them ❤️

I'm only just catching up on messages so I'm sorry it's taken so long, Welcome to the world of Tarot, I liken it to the siren song, once you have heard the voice of tarot wisdom, it's so hard to ignore! Okay, so I'm not keen on apps myself because I prefer to physically develop a bond with my decks but I can absolutely see their worth for learning the cards. I used to host an app on my website years ago that had random card pulls and would occasionally use it myself for a 'bit of fun' and yep, they were always spot on. I believe if the universe wants to give you a message it will use all means available, which includes apps, signs, and just about anything it needs ❤️❤️
This was a fun and useful exercise. For the Love and Marriage position, I got the Ace of Pentacles. I pulled a second card, which turned out to be The Lovers. (Appropriate, right?) Would it be reasonable to say that a new job opportunity could lead me to my future partner? Or perhaps it's not about a specific job per se, but about taking a different path in my work/career life? I should say that the topic of Love is very important to me. Being with a lifelong partner is one of my big dreams.
This is one of my favourite spreads and I'm glad to see that you pulled a clarifier too. 100% appropriate cards! As it's in your love position, read the Ace as a new beginning and the Lovers is a significant relationship. Pentacles are solid foundations as they stem from the Earth element. They grow slowly, methodically and with solidity, it's a good sign because the relationship will be practical and then your clarifier tells me it's passionate, all consuming and your other half. Beautiful cards and it appears the universe is listening to your heart. With regards to timings if you wanted a further insight (pentacles are years) and Ace is 1 so that's wonderful because it's within one year or in one year's time... ❤
To add another mystical dimension, I lay cards down in the order of the lo shu grid. To clarify a tarot card that doesn't resonate, have you tried laying down 3-5 lenormand cards? Pleased to find someone UK.
Ooh I haven't tried the lo shu, but I'll have a look now. I love feng shui because it looks at the whole picture. I'm in love with the Lenormand and have found pairing works well to get a straight answer. I use the 3 cards a lot too but I've yet to master the Grand Tableau! No, they usually want guidance on a particular topic. The general celtic cross is a great spread for overall. I'm always very careful to ensure clients are made aware that they are in charge of their future. A reading can sometimes influence the outcome too. Sorry, long answer! Short answer is a celtic cross if they want a crystal ball reading followed by 3 card spread for clarifier. Future position is usually 3-6 months out. This bagua spread is good for a snapshot of the here and now current situation.
Hi, no need to reshuffle as the deck and cut are already full of intention, just deal from the top of the deck. Some take the bottom card but I always use the top, it's a personal preference ❤
