it truly is sad to know that this project is over. every time i share something from y'all, it pains me to have to preface it by saying that it ended. the music you performed, the places you performed, it was all so powerful. i know all of you are out there still doing good things, please never stop.
They're still a band, still friends, just without Ben or Jessica
There's a new album coming out in a couple weeks :)
I miss you guys. Hope you come back some day soon ❤️ certain you're all doing incredible things.
This song is just so powerful and i am so glad that apartment sessions did a bent knee song. I am obsessed with their songs
Slayer
Criminally underrated
I'm so glad I found Bent Knee. I love the band's innovation and experiments and they came up with an unbelievable melody here. When I found out it is about depression, which I suffer from, I wanted to explore and create my own emotions and understanding generated by the song. To me the song represents an escape into better feelings and leaving depression behind. Thanks to the originator of this amazing piece of art.
Lol black tar… and water… it must be nice to not really know what the struggle is
This is my favorite Bent Knee song. Glad to see it get some love.
Wonderful: Only here and now!
I'm not crying, you're crying! Yeah I am too, come here and give me a hug 😭😭
such strong chills down my spine
Bent Knee
I want this to be on spotify so so so badly! I listen to it every day
I tear up most of the time listening
just wow...a masterpiece of progressive forest metal.
Please keep uploading!! Everything it's just crazy good
If at all possible, I hope there will be more of these one day! I love every unique performance I've seen from this channel and I really would love to see more 😭
I'm so grateful for having the opportunity to experience such a exquisite performance in such gorgeous scenery and to visit the very beautiful completely other world captured on a camera then produced into a video. this is bonkers!
Fantastic, it would be great to hear some of Bent Knee's stuff with even more orchestration.
This made me listen to the original. This arrangement is wayyyy better. Great performance! Gonna get some Bent Knee on iTunes!
Immediate like and favourite. This, the full BK version and the Justice Cow version are all mesmerising - it's just fundamentally an amazing song.
thanks! I didn't know the JC version. I love Jessica! "Thank you, hello!" and "Quone" on spotify please! :D
What's the JC version? Much as I love BK I cannot wade through the weirdness that is JC...
I miss y'all. I understand why there's no new content and it's okay. But you're missed and I'll be here when you return 😊
There's a new album out in a couple weeks!!
@@noahtheshipbuilder Seriously?! That is so exciting!!!
It’s been so long. Where is the apartment sessions? Please come back

You all are so talented! I love your content and I cant wait for another video :>
a wonderful farewell to the most beautiful covers of music i've ever heard
I think I needed this at the start of the pandemic. I was in a dark place then, and this might've helped. But right now, I don't care, because I think I needed it even more today. Keep kicking ass guys, this performance of an already incredible song was incredible in and of itself.
setting, arrangement, performance, mix. lovely
Great arrangement. Loving how the nature brought the best in all of you.
They need to make a Nobel prize category for whatever witchcraft the person/people who recorded this are engaged in.
I had chills all the way... this is amazing
So interesting and idiosyncratic! ♡
yeah, back on the roads finally. Congrats, keep making some magic for us that we're anxious to see more
Incredible in every way!!!

How wonderful!

That was amazing as always. 💙🤗
Absolutely wonderful
Jumped out of bed to grab headphones for this
Very good.
Imagine walking in the forest and hearing this
so good
Did you see the violinist in a white shirt who runs back to his seat at the last second before joining in for the final chorus? :D
He's the guitarist on the top left at 2:35 - he drops the guitar, runs over to the other side and picks up the violin. It took me a few tries but he helped me understand the whole layout lmao.
Muy hermoso gracias
Halo my friend. Great. Thanks for sharing. Wish you a nice day...Kjell
Jacob Mann and Knower merch tho 😍
yes
Wait a second.. What was that last arrangement when the credits started?? So beautiful.
I get a feeling it's constructed from the stems of the main take? Either way it's a piece of art on its own, for sure!
It is indeed beautiful.
So there won't be the we shall overcome video? Good cause I didn't overcome
fucking incredible. so alive
Courtney this arrangement is amazing. Fuck!
pleas come to the butiful town karlstadt in Bavaria, germany and make there a big spontanias Orchester
Who's apartment is this? Which one of them is homeless?
Rainbow Connection?
this must must must survive rona at all costs
😳
I spy a bari uke 0_0
So uh….is the gimmick done posting videos?
This version feels a bit messy. too many instruments/sounds going on at once.
Love the tune but I really do not like the voice.
shut up
Try the version by Justice Cow (the bassist in this video): justicecow.bandcamp.com/track/black-tar-water . It's a little more subdued than the BK version but it's a gorgeous song either way.
Courtney's voice seems to be an acquired taste for many but damn is it worth acquiring!
