Yes! I was just thinking yesterday that I should have mentioned to take your time. Your speed will also depend on your fear levels and the quality of your wheels and bearings, plus your action if you’ve adjusted the trucks. I’ll make a follow up- 😊 thanks for the inspiration 😆
THANK YOUUU OM.GGGG this is what i needed! Ive been looking for weeks for this specific video topic! Thank you thank you. And i just realized this just got uploaded😇😇😇🙏🏾Congratulations youve saved my sanity
I always think of you when I am practicing backwards crosspulls in my kitchen!! You also helped answer a question I had about going around corners backwards at the rink (because I am way too scared for crosspulls at the rink just yet.) Thanks for all your awesome tutorials. ♥
Ya chop. But full honesty I used extensions frequently because I lost so much hair from mold exposure. I needed to gain my confidence back. And it made me feel good. Now I just needed a big change! So a chop and a shave 😎 working towards a faux hawk? We will see….
If you are practicing skills it definitely makes a difference. You don't need pro skates but there aren't that many intermediate skates available (between amateur and pro). It also depends on what type of skating you do: art. (figure), rhythm, jam, recreational etc. A few of us pro/art skaters are Golden Horse Skates affiliates for that reason. We love the quality and economical features. If you want to look into it it's GH Skates (link in description of videos) and discount code is Appel10. Otherwise I recommend Sure Grip Fame and up, Riedell Angel and up. Moxi's are ok, but the I would get the firmest boot I think its Jacks. I really love the upgraded plat on GH skates and the entry boot: Magic or Diamond are already quite firm.
My problem is, The more I've been practicing using my non dominant leg for backwards skating, the more apparent it's lack of training is. I'm seriously trying to get down to basics doing everything switched up, and it seems to have overstrained my foot, making it hurt days after my last skate session even.
I can understand how frustrating that is. It’s hard to say without seeing your alignment if you are doing something funky to stress that side. I’d maybe suggest trying to get a private lesson from a local coach if that’s a possibility or zoom lesson just to check alignment and perhaps strength training recommendations. I am also available for zooms. No pressure just a suggestion. Regardless we all have a dominant side and it can be frustrating trying to train the non dominant side. We all have our hold ups.
@@appelusa Thanks, I'll definitely look into advice from a coach, some expert might be able to tell me more about my form. It's just so weird how much that strain started to hurt my foot as I started training it.
ur tutorials are like asmr.......

🥰 have you checked out my bio energetics YT Channel? @lightbodyenergetics ? Might have some asmr content arising haha… thanks for the note 😊
Yes for real! I was thinking the same thing. :)
Thank you💚comes just in time. I recently started rolling backwards without fear, and now I can continue with these beautiful techniques.
