I don't know why, but whenever I watch videos now or watch traffic on the street, I do it in your voice! lol Move forward....right turn....signature move, no big deal!
This was a great comparison, Pail! Thanks for putting the metrics of speed for a Growler in terms that most of us can relate to. Jet vs. car: no contest!
I’m 78 years old and have lived close to NAS Whidbey Island for 32 years. I LOVE hearing and watching these and various other aircraft, including helicopters, operate. It’s also fun to stop on SR20 beside the OLF and watch the action. Thanks for making an occasional daydream fun. Fly Navy!
My young sons and I use to go to a place by NAS Whidbey where we could watch touch and goes with binoculars (I think it was called Monkey hill or something like that). Then one day we saw two guards in a hummer pointing at us from way across the field...they started coming at us at a pretty good clip, so we got outa there!!
Pail, you have done it again!!! Another long awaited post…so dang cool! Love how you threw the Lamborghini race curveball in there! PLEASE another video soooooon Thank you!
Go Navy! I used to fly a Cessna 182 with my dad. Found out I have color blindness when I took the physical for my private pilots license, so yeah pretty dang cool to be able sit on your shoulder while you take care of business! And it's very cool the Navy lets you put these vids up! Thank you for your service!
There is a story that a F-14 pilot with either VF-11 or VF-31 bought a Suzuki Hyabusa when they came out in 1999 and somehow raced it against a F-14D doing a departure out of NAS Oceana. The Hyabusa left the jet in the dust until about midfield when the F-14, now airborne and in full burner, blew past it. Joke was the Hyabusa won the ¼, the Tomcat won the race. On the cat...even the E-2 would beat a Lambo.
Woooohooooo 😊 Perfect way to start the weekend. First signature move @4:59 😉 The more times you watch each jam, the more new things you see and learn. The Growlers are definitely a jet to be reckoned with but so are their aviators!! Thank you for another great video. Have a great weekend, Pail. 🇺🇸 ❤ 🇺🇸 #FlyNavy #afterburners
Catapult maintenance or no, modern events are just too small to try for a four cat go. The flight deck density dictates that one side of the bow is going to be a parking lot. Great video.🎉🎉
Thanks Pail, perfect starter for the weekend and good way to illustrate the dimensions here. So after your bath in jet fuel and race with the Veneno on flight deck, I wonder what comes next 😅? Braking exercises to demonstrate the arrestor cables maybe 😉?
Another great video Pail! These are always enjoyable and a great reminder of the hard work the men and women of the US Navy (and all of the armed services) put in day in and day out to keep American free! Thanks to you and your crew mates for your service! Could you do a video about how the Growler is used (without giving away too many secrets) in logistical operations with the fighter/attack aircraft? TBH, I never knew the Growler existed until I came across your channel.
Sir, sorry to be nitpicky but since I 6:49 worked on hornets from the legacy in VFA 125 in the early 80s up to the supers in VFA 122 where I retired in 2009. The engines are F414- 400s you said just F14. Maintainers gotta keep ya honest 😂. Btw love your videos.
Just the perfect time to upload this great video for me to watch at my time 🇲🇾🇲🇾11.40pm Friday before going to sleep🌛🌛🌝and a great booster to start the nice weekend. Thanks for putting so much effort in this 😮cool video 🎉🎉and fly safe.😀😆
Ok Pail, you know i dig your jams, but let’s be fair…until they figure out a way to put a launch bar on a Veneno, it’s apples-to-oranges, yeah? Great content! Appreciate you brother!
There used to be comparisons between the catapult launch of a fighter jet and the Top Fuel dragster. The jet used to win. But today the Top Fuel dragster covers a thousand feet from a dead stop in just over three seconds. And goes through the timing lights at about 340 mph. Much quicker than a catapult launched fighter jet.
Looking again at the results, if the jet was to accelerate to the full thousand feet, on the catapult it might be a really close race! I’d love to see it!!! 😊
Two quick questions for you Pail: 1) In a runway full afterburner take-off, ant who would be faster at the end of a 1/4 mile? 2) Speaking of speed, have you ever done a low-level, high speed fly-by of a carrier?
Great video, love the in flight video footage. Any chance of seeing all that happens prior to you strapping in? When are the aircraft fuelled up, loaded with weapons etc.
It's reassuring to know six aircraft can be launched in under six minutes, very well done! How much g-force do you experience going from a dead stop to 175 mph at takeoff?
Sweet, the Growler wins, love it! Do you have any idea how many launches and recoveries you had with this mean machine, I bet way too many to keep track of, thank you Pail you explain so much in your videos that makes a person as myself understand well sort of and I still wish I could have flown in the Navy, again thanks Pail can't wait for the next flight!
Wow the jets way faster , but the Lamborghini has a cup holder and stereo sound, sure is a lot of guys standing around on the deck, looks like road construction, lol
Keep in mind, you had the boat give you a toss. Now lets put the Lamborghini on the catapult and see who wins. You have vastly more power, but you also weigh more. That all said, yes, the finish line is a little more survivable in your ride.
Clear info on accelaration of Growler vs Veneno. Let's talk about flight endurance: How far would that Veneno thing fly when you strap it into the cataplut for launch?🤣😂
Mowing my lawn last week on a zero turn saying to myself "Signature move, no big deal" to myself 15 times.
Keep up the good work Growler Jams.
🤣😂🤣😂
😂
Why is it that whenever I watch one of these videos, I sit here with a huge grin?
This must be what AWESOME looks like!!
“Good luck with that clearance turn.” LOL
I don't know why, but whenever I watch videos now or watch traffic on the street, I do it in your voice! lol Move forward....right turn....signature move, no big deal!
He should do the voice over for kids books..❤😂😂
Nice having not only afterburners, but that steam cat.
This was a great comparison, Pail! Thanks for putting the metrics of speed for a Growler in terms that most of us can relate to. Jet vs. car: no contest!

no one was ready for the double signature move bro! love it!
😂
Pail, you have done it again!!! Another long awaited post…so dang cool! Love how you threw the Lamborghini race curveball in there! PLEASE another video soooooon Thank you!

Sir, your videos are AWESOME!!!, You are are another reason we are proud Americans!!! We are in good hands! "God Bless You!"
As someone who wants to be a fighter pilot; i'd buy you 20 cases of beer cause your content is worthy of it. 🇯🇲 big up
Best. Voice. Ever.
I live close to NAS Whidbey and get to hear the Growlers pumping out freedom noise regularly. Love It, thanks for the Jam.
We need more Jams❣️

Fleet Week here in San Francisco and watching the Blue Angels is unbelievably amazing!!! But these catapult shots...even better. Thanks Pail...
I love these, Pail. Stay safe out there.
Great video, the Growler & pilot represent freedom. The casual signature move is the best.
Dank Ferrick that was awesome. Never doubted the Growler. Fly Navy!!
I could watch these carrier launches all day, every day. Thank you Pail for your service Sir. #FLYNAVY

Awesome video, as usual! Love to see your car vs Growler comparison using a top fuel dragster. Thank you for your service!
I loved this one Pail!!
Great video as always. Pail, thank you for your service and what you do for us.
Great video Pail. Thanks for letting me ride along.
Continue to love the humor along with the education. Keep em coming. 🤘🏻
Catapult maintenance or no, modern events are just too small to try for a four cat go. The flight deck density dictates that one side of the bow is going to be a parking lot. Great video.🎉🎉
Great stuff, as always. Really enjoy these.
Very cool. Worth the time! Thanks!
Brilliant fella, you have one cool job. Must make all the hard work getting in that seat worthwhile.
Thanks Pail, perfect starter for the weekend and good way to illustrate the dimensions here. So after your bath in jet fuel and race with the Veneno on flight deck, I wonder what comes next 😅? Braking exercises to demonstrate the arrestor cables maybe 😉?
Excellent video, many thanks .
After watching you a few more times I think I'll be ready for a catapult launch. After all, you make it look so easy, lol.
Another great video Pail! These are always enjoyable and a great reminder of the hard work the men and women of the US Navy (and all of the armed services) put in day in and day out to keep American free! Thanks to you and your crew mates for your service!

Oops.
Best job in the world. Signature move!
I have almost as much fun as Growler playing F-18/ Super Carrier in DCS. Amazing to me how realistic the game is compared to your real life videos.
Enjoyed as always! Fly Navy !
Really look forward to your videos and this was yet another very interesting one. Thank you.
You are wearing your shorts! Nice. Thanks for a new upload! Signature move, no big deal…🐐

Very cool comparison Pail. I’d rather have afterburners too!! Fly Navy!!
always amazing videos
Ok Pail, you know i dig your jams, but let’s be fair…until they figure out a way to put a launch bar on a Veneno, it’s apples-to-oranges, yeah?
Great content! Appreciate you brother!
Glad to see you back Pail! You're still instructing SNA's at Kingsville, aren't you?
Yes
Love you're videos, dang!
So awesome to be able to do this!
#flynavy 🇺🇸
Now, if you can do a comparison with an NHRA top fuel dragster, with 12,000HP and sub 4-seconds , now THERE is a race!!😬👍🏼
0:09 an _upgraded_ version of the F/A-18F Super Hornet
Facts! 👍🏿

A great way to start the Thanksgiving weekend in 🇨🇦.
Great stuff, as always. Fly Navy!
just made some breakfast, sat down to watch a video and this could not have come out at a better time, fly navy!
If both were shot using the catapult, it would be the same! lol
Love It , Ty Sir 🫡
sweet shot. now that the Ford class only have 3 three wires, is the optimal still "3" or is it now the "2" wire?
The 2 wire is generally the target wire.
Any other commentary PAILS in comparison ,Sir impressive as always , safe travels and safer landings.
😂

glad your lucky pen didn't go anywhere! lol
😂
Thanx Pail!!
Great video, love the in flight video footage. Any chance of seeing all that happens prior to you strapping in? When are the aircraft fuelled up, loaded with weapons etc.
Possibly.
Hello again Yes it was beautiful
It's reassuring to know six aircraft can be launched in under six minutes, very well done! How much g-force do you experience going from a dead stop to 175 mph at takeoff?
Around 4Gs.
Darn, I had my money on the Lambo!🤣 Fly Navy💪🚀
Fly Navy! Good to see you Pail.
We jammin today fellas! Hey ooohhhhh!
If I could have you narrate me playing one hole of golf I'd pay for that. This could be a good career move for you.
How much? Let’s talk numbers. 😎
Dope video!
Sweet!

I'm sure he knows exactly. Waiting for the answer, Pail.
@@michaelmappin4425 Will be cool to find out right?!
Cool AF...simply cool AF 👊🏼
Man do I miss the flight deck
👍 on another great clip. Thanks for clarifying when parking brake is released. Do you use it as a backup before taking tension?
Yes.
Wow the jets way faster , but the Lamborghini has a cup holder and stereo sound, sure is a lot of guys standing around on the deck, looks like road construction, lol

🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for another great video.
Just wondering, do flight lead and wingman launch fairly close together?
Thanks again.
Sometimes, but not always. If it, we just meet up at a pre planned spot near the boat.
What a life. Guess my parents were right. I should have done better in school.
Signature move is my favorite!
I do the signature move in my car......No big deal.
Fly Navy! Stay safe sailor!
Clear info on accelaration of Growler vs Veneno.

Signature comment. NBD. 🤠🇺🇸
Very well.
👌
Great videos. I noticed your orange faced watch. What's your watch of choice during flight ops?
Swiss Tungsten Sapphire watch.
