A lot of people consider 1983 one of the best year's ever for music and yeah it was pretty good. This was where the 80s culture went into full swing and all the 70s leftovers were finally pushed out, leading to a huge array of creativity sparked by MTV. Pop music was at it's peak. This was the year for new wave, also seen as the 2nd British invasion, and many acts were hoping on the bandwagon. Other genre's managed to thrive as well including r&b, rock, and country. Speaking of rock, this was right when hair metal was beginning to take off in the genre. I will say that most of this year's most memorable song's are in the top half of the list, but the bottom half is also pretty great as well.
Perfection Pop,Rock oh the memories and quite alot of duets aswell pretty cool ones also. These lists u could add more all over the World not just a couple of countries

1983 the greatest year of pop music.
In my opinion it was 1987 but all the 80s were great 😂
'83 was probably the quirkiest most colorful year in all of music. Easily the peak of the Second British Invasion which contributed a fair amount of that color and the lion's share of that quirkiness.
Although things were quickly becoming more synthetic and glossy, the music still had a certain rawness to it and few songs sounded like another.

Most of them are legends, but Michael was something else (on another level)
That video is NOT even accurate. He never make a official video in 1983. That video clip that you saw is from 1989-1990 concert.

Beginning of the end for good music until about 1990.
