The book Asuka uses to cast his spells is actually insame by itself. In Guilty Gear, there is another known dimension referred to as "The Back Yard". The Back yard cobtains ALL of the information in the universe. Unless you have a powerful soul or can manipulate magic on an incredible level The Backyard can kill you instantly just for being there. The bookk Asuka holds os essentially a small portal that allows him to use the Backyard to Cast Spells. Along woth his cape and staff he has one of the coolest spell caster designs I have seen in a while.
My favorite way the Backyard has been described (and the way that helped me understand it) is: If the world is a program, the Backyard is the computer it's on with all the code needed to run the program.
It makes me sad that is common that people forget Talk About You, The Name of Heaven and Rock n Roll Maniac when they do a tier list or reaction of Strive soundtrack

Maybe as a reflection of Asuka's guilt, wondering if there is still hope for him and if the "Sun will shine" for him despite all logic and reason pointing to the contrary. But there's another interpretation that I really like: the name of our Sun is called Sol. So I think the like about the sun could also be a metaphor for Sol Badguy, as if wondering if he can get inspiration from his old friend. Sol himself struggles with seeing himself as a monster and a war machine, but still pushes against the absolutely impossible and towards a future for himself and the ones he loves. So maybe Asuka is looking for that same strength of character.

All objects have some amount of gravity that they exert on all other matter in the universe, and are in turn effected by the gravity of everything else. Gravity is what brings people together. So I think gravity is a metaphor for the bonds and connections between people. Asuka as a character is very socially awkward, understanding more about the fundamental forces of the universe than he does other people. So him referring to this idea as Gravity makes a lot of sense for his character.

To save aria, he put her soul into Justice, except the Universal Will (the true evil) took over justice and started doing shit over japan that would threaten the whole world, so asuka had to override justice and nuke japan. Then there's like 80 more games. Ultimately asuka is well-meaning and not a villain, just someone who had a malevolent force interfere in his work and cause chaos that he got blamed for. That being said, he obviously should have had safeguards in place.
Even if you're done with the character themes in strive, I do recommend to listen to a couple of the older songs, like Divide my heart, Midnight carnival, Jack-a-Dandy, Quicksilver, Freesia, Diva of despair, Dice, etc.
In short, I do believe that the unseen, the gravity the song references is basically "The accumulation of human effort, hopes and dreams for a future", its "fate", its the force that pulls not objects, but people together

He created Justice, a gear, to technically save Aria but Justice destroys the entirety of Japan and declares war on the human race. Basically he's the reason why the story of Guilty Gear is the way it is. He was there from initial release of the first Guilty Gear in 1998, and he's here now, finally playable. Happy Chaos is essentially an alternative version of him who is to blame for a lot of the bad shit happening in the GG universe, but people blamed the crimes of Happy Chaos on Asuka Kreutz instead.

I would suggest continuing the guilty gear music stuff but with older games as they never get enough love from people even when they're equally as great as strives ost. Edit: I think a good idea would be to choose a character and listen to all their previous themes, would be cool to see.

We won't know about the next characters for Strive until late August, they'll drop a new season 3 trailer during Evo, the largest international fighting game tournement. I recommend reviewing Guilty Gear Xrd's vocal tracks if you want too stick with vocals. GG has amazing instrumentals for GG Xrd, GG XX (Sound Alive album), GG X, and GG Korean OST that you should listen to.
If he still wants to stick with Strive, there is The Name of Heaven, the final song in the story and in my opinion, a secondary theme for I-no like how Crawl is for Nagoryuki. Then there is Talk About You and Rock and Roll, Rock Hard Maniac, which are two unreleased songs in Strive.

The reson I think ultimately "gravity holds all the answers" is because of what Asuka talks about in the song, he has seen himself as divine-esque foor such a long time, even at the point of watching everything unfold from the moon, that he had casted away morality for knowledge that's "the reality of truth" so gravity holding the answers is literally a way to say that he understands that he needs to step on the ground to understand what he was unable to before, he needs to leave that god position and assume himself back as a human to regain a full understanding on how things actually work (that's why he for examples questions things as why would teh sun defy the heat death of the universe "as the universe turned black") this song (and most in guilty gear) are great examples of character writing and Asuka just hits so close cause this theme of gravity on him is something I'm actually writing for a villain in a novel myself (funny how that happens XD)
I would argue that he was a friend of Happy Chaos, well, more was his student, and also was a friend to Sol and still wants to be and he really only lost his trust because he didn't explain himself until after he did what he did and he really screwed up because one of the things he didn't properly account for was that his attempt to protect Aria, Sol's wife, from her terminal disease, was going to make her vulnerable to the Universal Will, a creation of the Original, who is now Happy Chaos, that went mad because the Original's directive to her was to broad and likely unachievable. The UW was one of the major antagonists until recently in Guilty and Happy Chaos was created by the Original's other mistake, trying to prevent I-No becoming something akin to a god by taking her omniscience from her and that very omniscience sent him mad. To explain I-No, she was created because the universe in Guilty Gear has a world that connects all other dimensions that people enter when they dream, and apparently because of the UW's use of Aria to attack humanity writ large by directing all gears attack humans there were so many nightmares entering that world and wishes for salvation that that world reflected those desires into a human it had pulled from earlier in the timeline. The result was I-No. So, Asuka was antagonist because he screwed up and has a very screwy way of fixing his mess, and his teacher, that teacher's creation, and that creation's creations and I-No and Asuka's Teacher's other students are essentially the sum total of the antagonists of Guilty Gear. But Asuka isn't an antagonist because he's evil but because he's a well intentioned extremist who is to willing to act on his own.

You should have a listen to the GGXRD, XX and Blazblue themes. Also all composed by Daisuke, with Blazblue having a bit different vibe, but also remaining very excellent. There's also a bunch of themes for characters with rivalries that are all excellent too, highly recommend Childish Killer
Well, he only made the robot. The whole "100 years long war against humanity" was the Universal Will screwing with it--wasn't actually Asuka's fault. Big part of the character is that the vast majority of the things he's held accountable for went wrong because of other things outside his control.
Julia should DEFINETELY react to Terraria Calamity Mod OST after this, in all my years of gaming, the only game (even tho its a content mod for a game) that had a chance to stand aside GG Strive's OST was Calamity mod, its madness, peace, will, violence, life all toghetrer much like GGS's OST.
I love all the religious iconography in character designs because as far i can tell its literally just there because it looks cool. I dont think religion pays a major part in any of the characters of guilty gear. With the exception of the universal will of course but you know what i mean.

GG has amazing instrumentals for GG Xrd, GG XX (Sound Alive album), GG X, and GG Korean OST that you should listen to.
If he still wants to stick with Strive, there is The Name of Heaven, the final song in the story and in my opinion, a secondary theme for I-no like how Crawl is for Nagoryuki. Then there is Talk About You and Rock and Roll, Rock Hard Maniac, which are two unreleased songs in Strive.

It can be possible that Daisuke would add Vernon to season 3 or further seasons to Strive(Vernon aka President Vernon, half-cyborg president that has dope mechanical arms) this is just a theory though, but it would be really cool beating someone's ass off as a president.

In Asuka´s song He (Asuka) is trying to find meaning in meaning while Happy Chaos, he just dont have anything thats important to him and thats why everything is beautiful to him, meaning that he doesnt care about the meaning in things, just contemplate them and admiring them. An antithesis of each other.

The reson I think ultimately "gravity holds all the answers" is because of what Asuka talks about in the song, he has seen himself as divine-esque foor such a long time, even at the point of watching everything unfold from the moon, that he had casted away morality for knowledge that's "the reality of truth" so gravity holding the answers is literally a way to say that he understands that he needs to step on the ground to understand what he was unable to before, he needs to leave that god position and assume himself back as a human to regain a full understanding on how things actually work (that's why he for examples questions things as why would teh sun defy the heat death of the universe "as the universe turned black") this song (and most in guilty gear) are great examples of character writing and Asuka just hits so close cause this theme of gravity on him is something I'm actually writing for a villain in a novel myself (funny how that happens XD)

I would argue that he was a friend of Happy Chaos, well, more was his student, and also was a friend to Sol and still wants to be and he really only lost his trust because he didn't explain himself until after he did what he did and he really screwed up because one of the things he didn't properly account for was that his attempt to protect Aria, Sol's wife, from her terminal disease, was going to make her vulnerable to the Universal Will, a creation of the Original, who is now Happy Chaos, that went mad because the Original's directive to her was to broad and likely unachievable. The UW was one of the major antagonists until recently in Guilty and Happy Chaos was created by the Original's other mistake, trying to prevent I-No becoming something akin to a god by taking her omniscience from her and that very omniscience sent him mad. To explain I-No, she was created because the universe in Guilty Gear has a world that connects all other dimensions that people enter when they dream, and apparently because of the UW's use of Aria to attack humanity writ large by directing all gears attack humans there were so many nightmares entering that world and wishes for salvation that that world reflected those desires into a human it had pulled from earlier in the timeline. The result was I-No. So, Asuka was antagonist because he screwed up and has a very screwy way of fixing his mess, and his teacher, that teacher's creation, and that creation's creations and I-No and Asuka's Teacher's other students are essentially the sum total of the antagonists of Guilty Gear. But Asuka isn't an antagonist because he's evil but because he's a well intentioned extremist who is to willing to act on his own.

if youre interested in understand the very sensical nonesense of the guilty lore, you could watch the guilty gear strive story mode in youtube. in game there is not ''story gameplay'' is just a 4 hour watch in digestable episodes. and to understand all that comes before guilty gear strive i recommend ''woolie vs - guilty gear lore'' a 7 episode series that explains 25years of lore

And he’s a wizard and old student of Happy Chaos
And he is, indeed, a dispenser of knowledge- he has a station on the moon where he does podcasts from his magic/science bible, as if they were Sunday sermons
But he’s not a bad guy, he just really sucks at explaining himself and his intentions
Also he was framed for war crimes by Chaos and someone hijacked a science project of his (which was supposed to save Sol’s girlfriend from sickness) to nuke Japan again and start a 100 year war and he didn’t really explain that wasn’t him that did all that until recently
You should have a listen to the GGXRD, XX and Blazblue themes. Also all composed by Daisuke, with Blazblue having a bit different vibe, but also remaining very excellent. There's also a bunch of themes for characters with rivalries that are all excellent too, highly recommend Childish Killer

Well, he only made the robot. The whole "100 years long war against humanity" was the Universal Will screwing with it--wasn't actually Asuka's fault. Big part of the character is that the vast majority of the things he's held accountable for went wrong because of other things outside his control.
Julia should DEFINETELY react to Terraria Calamity Mod OST after this, in all my years of gaming, the only game (even tho its a content mod for a game) that had a chance to stand aside GG Strive's OST was Calamity mod, its madness, peace, will, violence, life all toghetrer much like GGS's OST.

I love all the religious iconography in character designs because as far i can tell its literally just there because it looks cool. I dont think religion pays a major part in any of the characters of guilty gear. With the exception of the universal will of course but you know what i mean.
