I like Mr Shak - he is a great performer and I really liked his song "Blueprint" - but its like a teenager telling a Parent to get out dey own house. He may be frustrated at how things are going, but to be the best you must beat the best - veterans are INTEGRAL to the culture of T&T. I trust Chalkdust when he sang "until I die, you will hear my cry...JUBA DUBAI". Chalkie is the teacher and if newcomers would take his advice, they would be great!!!

SHAME Mr. Shak....these veterans have worked so hard to make calypso what it is today…it is truly a fabulous creative art form…All you trinis want to here is jump jump jump jump and wave….any fool to could compose that!!!! Whilst i agree with the comments that Mr. Shak didnt attack anyone in his Kaiso, i think its unfair for one to sat that this is not a very good song. Like it or not the man is a Kaiso Genius know youll place. One of the few real Calpsonian , most of them are just singers. Sing Chalky Sing, i love it.

BOYGRANT1 you should look at the documentary "BBC-reggae-the story of Jamaican music" and you shall see that Jamaican music has evolved to the times. so your statement are of no merit. so check it out, you might learn something. also while you're at it take a look at Mistah Shak's video and you will see that chalky was way off point.

He NEVER condemned Chalky or any other kaisonian he mentioned in his song 4 dat matter. He talked about d rut d JUDGES seemed 2 b stuck in, based on what dey become accustomed 2 from certain kaisonians, & some of d kaisonians in turn, stay wit 1 style, reluctant to evolve or try new things, bcuz dey only seem to be concerned with winning competitions.....
...& if u knew anything of Shak's music, or took time 2 listen 2 any of his available songs, u'd know he's VERY FAR from a jump & wave artiste, & composes his own stuff which is FAR more potent & meaningful. This is the worst set of uploading in years, you cant hear the calypsoes clearly atall, its like if rain is falling. Would somebody scrap all these uploads and give us something clear enough to listen to, afterall i might be living in england for a number of years but i always held on to my identity.
