I really love the shots and the model is beautiful, but if you’ll allow a little feedback, I’d love to hear a bit of the ‘technical’ or artistic choices made here. For example, why did you choose 400H. How are you metering? Did you push or shoot at box speed? Etc. If this may ruin the aesthetic of the video perhaps it could just flash up as text on the screen occasionally. Great work by the way!
Hey Joseph, thanks for your feedback! We've had this asked a few times and is something we are considering for future episodes. I don't really consider myself too technical, and personally find the composition and model to be the more interesting part of photography, so I think these videos are a bit of a reflection of that. That being said, we have discussed creating some different content which touches on these things though, so stay tuned for future uploads.
seeing te shots, Shooting in harsh daylight ( first shots in the field), avoid direct light in the face. The sun is illuminating here back in not even the tip of the nose is in direct sunlight. Summary: shoot against the light when harsh, overexpose at least 1 stop and most of all: go shoot and learn by doing. :)
this is just perfect in every way, crazy camera, really good model and gorgeous locations, and to finish it that killer light rendering so good on the pictures. Amazing to see what a picture looks like when everything come together this well. Amazing job guys
Didn’t think there would be a major difference between the two lenses, but the 180mm does have some noticeably stronger compression of the background and the bokeh seems very sharp
@@sssssssev yeah, the shots at the end after the footage of the lens being changed are on the 180mm, plus the two shots at 2:32 (some of the photos are out of sync with the lens on the camera as we didn't always film the switch). Also the second shot of Maddi standing further away in the field is on the 180mm.
I love everything about you videos brotha! From the music, to the videos editing and of course the results of the shots! Keep bringing that fire content!
Flynn ! Pictures are dope, it’s been the 4/5th time i watch it in years. Just wondering do you remember by any chance which shutter speed was set for the last photo ? You shot handheld so i’m wondering which minimum speed you set to get this sharp image ? I used to stay up to 1/60 minimum but i can see movement blur
Just picked an Rz67 pro ii up today, this was the first video I watched. I definitely need a camera bag like that 😉 Where is it from? Cheers. Loved this 👍
Beautiful video man!! Was this a personal project or paid work? Just asking because I like to find models, but agencies are waaayy to expensive and I don`t know where to find them on a budget and capable! Do you have any suggestion??
Thank you Nalla! They are high res, but I scanned them at home. I have a love/hate relationship with scanning, and have often struggled to get consistent results. I've also moved from lightroom to photoshop to manage the files, and have been much more pleased with these results.
@@radicaleyemag What scanner/software are you using for these? I have a similar love/hate relationship scanning with my V800 and Silverfast but your results and consistency seem great here!
@@brentsmith9411 I've been using the v600. For this shoot I used a new process, which is a bit different to all my previous scans. I used VueScan to essentially create a large .tiff negative file (with no adjustments in vuescan), then converted it in Photoshop using a plugin called ColourPerfect. Worth a look if you're looking for alternative techniques.
@@radicaleyemag Your scans are amazing, congratulations!, I have Epson V600 too, but on 135mm film I never can't good scans, your 135mm scans on Yashica Mat have been done on Epson V600 too?
Really good work! What shutter speeds do you usually shoot at with your rz when shooting handheld? I’ve heard that it can be hard to shoot with it handheld without getting motion blur, yet your shots have no signs of it. Thanks
Thank you T! The slowest I usually consider shooting the RZ at is 1⁄30, but this would be indoors, where it's a bit easier to remain still. I've personally never struggled outside, but I would probably avoid going below 1⁄60. I'm guessing a lot of these shots would have been between 1⁄125 and 1⁄250, with the last few being a bit slower as the light dropped off.
I'm using rz67. What lens is the second one? Didn't the shutter speed slow down much at the end of the video with iso400 (400H)? What is the minimum shutter speed for a steady photo with the rz67? Lastly, thank you so much for your videos.
Hey amazing pictures you made. I always wonder about the sharpness of your pictures. How do you scan your pictures? I saw that you recently try the Pentax 67. What do you think about the Hasselblad 500cm?
I really admire the way you can photographed every shots looks so perfectly composed and well focused! May I know what aperture size do you usually shoot with?
AlexanderNVIDIA thank you! It depends on the light, for bright daylight I’ll use f8-f11. For the shots at the end with lower light, I used f2.8 on the 110mm and f4 on the 180mm (which is as low as both lenses go).
Who’s the stud at 4:36?
No comments, only taking photos and beautiful shots. This is 14/10.
window thank you!

Yes, I would love this too (although I know this isn't the vibe they are going for)

Haha, don't worry she'll be back soon I hope!

Yep, would agree. We're planning a portrait video next which will use the 180mm a bit more.
were any of these shots with the 180? i thought it looked like they were all 110 but maybe I missed something.
