How do I know if I’m truly denying myself. One thing I’ve struggled with is pornography since a young age. I recongnize I’m a sinner but don’t know if I truly repented. Because I’m not going to lie I get lustful desires and I like to watch pornography. I asked God for forgiveness and mercy but I still don’t feel guilt. Because ik I can fall into pornography at any moment and feel fine. I don’t want this feeling what must I do.
I believe you are truly denying yourself by bringing it to God and making the choice to not fall into it (REMEMBER THE KEY IS THAT ITS A DAILY THING). Recognize that the Holy Spirit is in direct opposition to your flesh, and so you don’t feel guilt bc that’s your nature, but accepting God is to go against that, and truly embrace him (Galatians 5:17). In your prayer, make it clear to God that your desire is for the Holy Spirit to guide you in everything you do! I’ll be praying you tho 🙏🏽
@@kevinwillis24 thank you. One thing I want is the Holy Spirit to convict me of my sin and not let me feel comfortable in it. I recognize that pornography is a sin in God’s eyes but for years I didn’t care and still watched it. Recently God has brought a lot of anxiety and worry in my life that has made be worry about my salvation and made me aware that I chose sin over God and I regret choosing sin. I’m just a little lost because idk if I’m really repenting over my sin.
