Fun fact: In game and watch’s older smash move set his forward air was a box from the Mario Bros. Game and Watch game, but in smash ultimate whenever Mr. Game and Watch does an attach he turns into that character which is probably a reason why they changed it
The Game and Watch series just had a lot of charm to them that Tiger's lacked. Especially the ones that tried to imitate popular series on more powerful hardware. It's no wonder Nintendo's have such an enduring legacy to them, as the vast majority of them are they're own little games. Plus, they paved the way for handheld game devices as we know them today!

Please know that Nintendo never did love hotels, as shown in recent works from video game historian Florent Gorges. The origin of this rumor is likely that Hiroshi Yamauchi invested into love hotels as a personal initiative, not involving Nintendo.
Love my Game & Watch, have a whole bunch of them from the '80's and very early '90's. Just got the new one that has been released too :D Loved this "did you know" :D
If I could remember, the patch was released before smash was launched: read some articles talking about game and watch and caused a bit of an uproar in NA
I seriously regret selling my Mario Bros, Oil Panic and Donkey Kong Game and Watch units. Bought all three as a preteen obsessed with Nintendo’s history, sold them in college for fast cash to utilize for beer money. I currently own Donkey Kong Jr, Manhole, and was able to order the newly released Super Mario Bros unit. I would love to procure more, they are even more expensive than I remember, however I would love to repurchase the units I owned as a kid.
I really enjoy your videos. However, this particular video presents some inaccuracies which I'd like to point out quickly. To begin with, Donkey Kong Circus and Mickey Mouse were not remakes of Ball since the pineapples/rods followed a straight path unlike the curvy trajectories of the balls, playing more similarly to Chef than anything else (unlike Mario the Juggler, which was intended to be a more modern version of Ball in order to properly close the loop of the G&W series). Also, Mickey & Donald was a totally original game in the Multi-Screen series, and not a different version of Fire (which was never released in this series, belonging instead in the Silver and Wide Screen line-up). While Fire asks the player to bounce the victims to safety, Mickey & Donald instead prompt the player to extinguish a fire before it reaches the top of the building.

That game & watch song thoo🔥
It's a wonder that Nintendo even exists because of Yamauchi and his strange decisions.
01:42 oh man, you're making me miss Clu Clu Land...
You know, when I saw the thumbnail of this video. I knew you guys used Blackoak's *(shmuplations)* translated interviews for the *Game & Watch* video, the one he translated this year.
My mom said she had a snoopy one that she secretly played during work haha 😂
I love these games. I still play the galleries from time to time. They're just classic and easy to play.
I would adore a Game & Watch Gallery Ultimate. All of the Gallery games compiled plus a new gallery with updated games all in one package. Please.
Now that's gaming 😎
Congrats your the first comment in this video
The reference to Fire Attack in Super Smash Bros Ultimate wasn't removed before it was released, it was patched after release.
Thank god you posted this video. it reminded me they dropped today and I was still able to get one!:)
Please know that Nintendo never did love hotels, as shown in recent works from video game historian Florent Gorges.
The origin of this rumor is likely that Hiroshi Yamauchi invested into love hotels as a personal initiative, not involving Nintendo.
4:50 Whomever made the cover of this book must have never seen a shark before.
I remember playing my Space Invaders watch in the early 80s
The original that launched Nintendo's home game industry is. This is a classic story
There's also an unlockable Game & Watch game in Wario Land 2. When you beat the game 100%, you can play Flagman D.D..
Love my Game & Watch, have a whole bunch of them from the '80's and very early '90's. Just got the new one that has been released too :D Loved this "did you know" :D
The feather wasn't fixed before release. It was fixed on a day one patch. I have about 2 hours of footage of it
If I could remember, the patch was released before smash was launched: read some articles talking about game and watch and caused a bit of an uproar in NA
From the early Mexico release?
Those Game and Watches were so well assembled. Hopefully the one that's coming out has the same aluminum case.
I had a game watch gallery for Gameboy when I was little i played it alot but didn't know they were old hand held games till way later
Idk how Mr game and watch was able to hold all them jobs
2:58 But Satoru Okada is still alive.
Kenny M.
2:28-- Ring a bell?
I actually have the Zelda G&W, my dad originally bought it before going to fight in the Gulf War
Is anyone else surprised how Game and Watch Gallery music never got into Smash? I honestly wish it did, the title themes are pretty neat.
Wow this might be the earliest I've been on a video before
Did you know? The game and watch games are still classics. Especially the Game and Watch gallery collection.
I mained Game & Watch on Smash Bros. Melee for a while. I liked the RNG of his hammer.
Damn, thank you RUclips for notify me for the first time
