In the famous soprano aria, Bach begins with a lovely melody by the solo cello, to which a soprano adds another. This is ruined here by having the organ play an invented melody that anticipates the soprano line, thus making one basic melody/bass texture where Bach has two alternating ones - we can barely hear the initial melody Bach wrote. Though this practice is normal it is WRONG.
sehr schön!
Happy 68th birthday.

En strålende lille koncert under en ligeså strålende ledelse af Karl Richter......

Good gracious - you are right! What an horrible idea, to try to "improve" Bach! What has ridden Karl Richter?! Unbelievable!
@@gabiheintz4001 But quite common when Bach puts a melody in a bass-clef instrument - many have done this.
Karl Richter habra sido divino? Y J.S. Bach? Quizás lo fueron.
