Wow. I picked up a new 2019 R1250Gs yesterday from the dealer. It’s amazing how much of this still applies to the current model bike !

Excellent video! Valuable information for me, who just got my 2015 R1200GSA.
5:46 - Slight Mistake??. - The increase when using the cruise control is 2.5 km/hr per press. - pressing it four times will get you from 70km/h -to 80km/h
At least on the 2015 R1200GSA

I have a 2010 Multistrada 1200S, which I bought new almost three years ago to the day. While I love that bike, I find it too delicate for the type of riding I want to do. Silly things (like the turn signal stalks) break, and it drives me crazy. I've always had a longing eye towards BMW's GS motorcycles, but they never had the performance I was looking for. Well, after test riding a 2013 water-boxer I can say that performance is no longer an issue, and I am really digging the new machine!

same gizmos but watercooled and better balanced,
my old GS Adventure was hard to hold, love the balance of the new one
for me a bit too much power but to each its own

The previous GS wasn't exactly a bare bones motorcycle. How far back in the history of the GS line do you have to go to find one that had the right amount of gizmos? Time marches on, and so does technology. When fuel injection came out, there were people lamenting that as well. My only issues with "gizmos" is their complexity; specifically with regard to the home mechanic not being able to service it themselves. BMW has been building over-complicated bikes for decades.

To set a pillion, do you need to go into setup? For me, pressing the suspention button only moves between Dyna and Road.
