Been looking to start buying off Co part but I'm no mechanic however you be encouraging me to try some shit myself cuz u transformed this one already. I'd have jus gave it straight to the bodyshop so fair play, may try my hand at these myself now seeing you do it. You a mechanic by trade yourself or you just giving it a go? Fair play either way bro, keep the content coming 👊🏽👊🏽
That’s great mate I would try starting off with a car with minimal damage cause they can get quite confusing and complicated when more stuff is damaged but defo give it a go and I’m self taught/ RUclips taught aha
did you have any fuel gauge calibration issues after driving it? I just got a Polo that was full on arrival but declined rapidly. Then it kind of settled at reserve tank level but I drove it and broke down in the middle of a busy road! So it was empty despite showing me reserve tank level. Never broken down before, was a nightmare. Ive added fuel but not sure I can trust the level or not.
It’s most likely the measurement system in the fuel tank that has possibly broken maybe try calculate the amount of fuel you put in and see if it’s any different from what it says before pulling the fuel tank out
@@restoringsalvage thanks for the reply mate. Yes the tank is currently reading correctly from what I put it in. If of course it was empty when it broke down on me. Possibly the float was stuck as they drained it so fast. One would hope. Seeing as yours was a VAG car and it malfunctioned too when copart drained it, hopefully it will be sound after a refill as yours was. Only way to check would be to drive it around with anxiety until empty!
Why don't you repair most of the parts you save thousands over the the year I use to just buy parts like you but once I learned I can fix most the parts myself I made a killing on the profits more than doubled my profits and I do know some parts you have to buy but not every single one if I done this car would of saved ££££ and thats extra £££ in my pocket
That’s great that ! And love how you work us through it all with you that’s amazing bro
No worries happy to help 😊

Wil you do a video on selling the car to the new owner and keep the good work looking forward to see more builds 💪
Thanks mate and would love too but I don’t want to intrude on the new buyer
I can confirm this tank was full the night I was crashed into in this 🤦🏻♂️😂
I really do dislike copart! 😂😂
Nice videos . Is copart best place to buy damaged cars from.?
Wouldn’t say best but easier then the rest!
Just sub keep the vids coming 👌
Thanks 😊
Great vid mate. Where are you ordering the parts from? Do you just type in the VIN?
Usually eBay or the manufacturer and for service parts I use euro and gsf and usually just use the reg or part number on the item
hello. great work here. pls where do you get your replacement parts from?
Scrap yards, eBay or main dealer usually
What are the side bits called on the wing mate
The bumper brackets are you referring too? That hold the bumper to the wing?
@@restoringsalvage yeah mate struggling to find it
