This game was the antithesis of Joy's game. To clarify, Joy's game occurred in early March 2008 during the third series of the Channel 4 era of Deal or No Deal. Joy participated in the game hoping to win enough money to maintain her housing, similar to Kerrie's motivation. Noel mentioned at the beginning of Steve's game, which followed Joy's, that £10,000-£5,000 less than what Kerrie had-would have sufficed for Joy. She was offered £10,000 at the eight-box stage, which she declined. Subsequently, her game deteriorated, leaving her with only £100. This led to one of the most distressing conclusions in the history of Deal or No Deal, both in the ITV and Channel 4 eras, as Joy broke down while Edmondo concluded the show. Conversely, Kerrie's experience was much more positive, and it might have been even better had she continued to the £105,000 offer.
