Man that saw has been a doozy for you, I’ve fixed hundreds of saws, all brands shapes and sizes, and only had one give me persistent problems. I rebuilt it, and it wouldn’t run, so I tore the whole saw down, did bearings, re sealed, etc. it turned out to be a cracked fuel line. I was so pissed I had missed that. I had the saw sitting for a year in my basement for a 5 min repair. Not sure if you’ve picked up an oiler yet, but I have one out of an 029 if your interested for parts.
Thanks for the offer, but I am all set on parts. Im still behind on editing, but this series will be coming to a close soon. Should be about 4 more episodes.
Steve,
Have you taken the exhaust muffler off and cleaned the wire mesh spark arrestor?
Cheers Eric
Yes, but it was a good thought. In fact, keep an eye out for new videos on the stihl leaf blower.
