Not sure if I'm doing it correctly but I cant get that Darrius setup to work, did it get patched out or something? it seems like it doesnt pick up the opponent like it does here.
@@forestskilbred9461 yes exactly!! I can't get this shit to land.. I know rewind is an amazing player and his execution is top but I can't get it to land a single time 😂 I think it may have gotten hot fixed
@@forestskilbred9461 someone in the comments figured it out! You have to hold left or right after you call Darius and you can get it to land with the proper timing
Goro is also dope with Reiko. Easy 300 dmg Combo

“Combo after command grab isn’t enough for me”
If you get a 80% combo but you can't finish your opponent because you lack neutral, it isn't worth it.

For people wondering how to get darrius to hit, you have to hold back when you do the command grab.

I'm trying this right now for the first time too and what he means is that reiko has to roll out of the way to for Darius to hit. Granted I've only just now done like 2 times successfully but I'm guessing that's what he means
@@devonbenarick5891whenever your opponent is facing the opposite from before they were grabbed immediately call Darius in and then start holding back. If you call Darius in too soon he’ll start attacking the wrong way.

Idk what it is about Reiko but he's not as flashy as the other fights but his moves are so fire. The first character I have mained so far in this game and damn bro don't disappoint!
I'm glad Im playing him too got me a 12/5 in Kombat league with him so far 2 loses were from other reikos loool
Some of his moves are the most realistic and useful in real combat situations

You call in darrius like a inch before your opponent head hits the ground and you do have to hold back but don’t hold back before you call darrius or it won’t work

Reiko is amazing. But idk why people say he's broken his 40% cmd grab is 2bars and all kameo bar. Other characters get 50-60% one bar. He's good but I don't think they need to nerf him

He does, he just doesnt have NRS tick throws. NRS tick throws, like mk11's down 1 command grab, were braindead shit. His forward 1, f2, and I believe one of his two standing kicks are tick throws. Moves that are plus enough to follow up with a down 1 to condition a block and get a CG out.

The timing on the Darrius assist after the command grab is ridiculous tight and difficult. I tried that for 45 mins in practise just doing it over and over and I didn’t hit it once
you gotta use the same side version of grab and then it works and its ez trust

for yall trynna figure out how to do the command grab combo, call darrius right before reiko hits the ground and THEN hold back, reiko has to roll back out of the command grab in order for this combo to work.

The SECOND that Tactical Takedown lands, you gotta spam tf outta the Down button. It takes some getting used to, but I get it pretty consistently now.

Yeah, I figured this out by accident couple days ago playing invasions. Had been playing Jax was using command grab into the Unblockable overhead but had switched to Darrius for whatever reason and forgot to swap back. Went for it and hit the timing right. Its pretty easy to catch people with the B3 cancel into Command grab too for when you want to scoop and play footsies. Glad I found your channel, great gameplay man 🤙

Reiko is my top player in MK1. Him and Sektor as my cameo. I am still learning how to use him progressively.

You should try Ashrah Sonya. 400+ damage off of every string including her overhead mix up. Some of this don’t even require a bar and 2 bars can get you a little over 500
