I really wanted to like Sam and Jordan’s table more, and if the plywood laminate wasn’t so obvious it would have been a tougher call, but in the end I liked John’s better. The way he hid the plywood was pretty cool, although I would have picked a slightly lighter stain, more or a walnut, less of a black paint look.

he disguised it as poop, I mean seriously it looks like a really big dog drug hit backside across the center of the table.

Honestly I've never seen a budget friendly live-edge solution. Great table designs from both teams!

“You hate my guts but you picked my table!” Haha! I think there is a competition brewing between you and mr build it and it should involve something neither of you have done before.

@@jessicakriese6723 I think it’s a running joke. They refer to one another as nemesis in both of their videos but it always looks like it’s all love.

Honestly, Sam and Jordan made a killer looking table. It would look even better in something other than plywood.
I’d like to see the guys build the Tony Stark table out of real hardwood. I think that would have made it look better. I understand the rules for the build off but I would like to see it remade of superior materials. Great job on both builds.
A challenge has no risk for Same and Jordan, but John's got some serious face to lose.

Yeah, John definetely won this one. Maybe if the boys had more time it could have been closer, theirs looked quite "unfinished".
I agree, if they had more time they probably wouldve got me !
Sam and Jordan should have made a mitered plywood box for the columns, then used the nicer wood for the horizontals and feet. Also should have used some edge banding on the top.
These kinds of shenanigans are why I subscribed, and why I always come back for more!! Great job men! Good to see how much Jordan is settling in!

I like both tables but the moment I heard “I “think” I picked the right file”, I knew Johnny had the win. That and the fact I’m a lover of live edge tables. Well done, guys!

As much as I really really grew up loving Iron Man, and Tony Stark and yeah, I gotta go with John's table this time... love how it looks and how clever his design was to pull off

Really like the challenges boys! Jordan and Sam, congrats on pulling it off at the last moment. John, anytime you are carving and wearing that helmet is a good day! I just think about Fig Newton’s every time. Really liked the work with the veneer and masking the plywood with the paint. Nice work and look forward to Jordan figuring out that cnc to really put the heat on the pro in future builds.

If the pirates would have did some sort of edging on the plywood and did more with finish think their table is much nicer. John took something extremely simple and made it look good. They failed when it came to having the CNC advantage also.
This was another great one. Loved the celebrity judge lol. Keep having fun this is what it’s all about!!!

Love the competition, Loosing should have had some silly “penalty”.
Like wearing a dress in the shop, shaving one eyebrow off, having to make a cake for the winner, etc.
You know the kind of stuff football players would do,to,each other.

He IS the kind of youtuber who is always upbeat and positive, and I think a little taste of silliness added to the competition (along with everything else he does well), would be amusing to watch (even if they didn't do the "punishment".

The pirates had the base concept 💡 👌 on lock 🔐. It was the weak effort on the top that lost it for them. Guaranteed.. It got a lil too squirrely for the boys!
Honestly impressed that both looked so cool after a two day build! Great job!
I showed this to my wife, she said table #1 fits in a lot of different living room designs and table #2 only works in one.
Though she did say she would like table #1 with a more chipped looking live edge.
Now I have a project for the next few days lol

But seriously Sam & Jordan just need to get some edge banding and stain it dark and wrap the edges in the dark stained edge banding and that piece would sell for hundreds. Seriously. Love yinz!
When it comes to the losing table, I think my only complaint is that it should have a stained table head and a little more curve to the legs.
I sent them to my wife to judge. She said Table 2 that looks like Table 1 :D That was my thought too hahaha. Great job guys! I like the idea of challenges like this. I'm thinking about trying something in this spirit at my workplace once we get back to work. Almost forgot how challenges can really juggle your creativity.
