  • A good selection of tensioners is as important as a good selection of picks when it comes to opening a variety of different locks. Today I will put my case forward that this Multipick ELITE Tension Set 3 is the very best tension set available to buy.

    It is definitely the best tensioner set money can buy. I would also suggest picking up the sizes that are not included in this set to create a multipick only tensioner set. They work very well with any other tier 1 pick set.

    As always great vid D 😁 I only use multipick tension tools now I think they are by far the best tools available I personally love the way they grip the locks 😉 I'm a big multipick fan I think they are the best tools and what separates them from other brands is their attention to detail and quality 😁 great stuff D👍

    Great review. Always end up using more tensioners that picks, something beginners rarely think about! 😀 Don't forget you can use the long end of that different tensioner to engage and rotate the cam in a double sided Euro to actually get an open. Also works as BOK for recessed "Rose" KIKs I think they are called, bit like with the Rotorlock.

      The cheap interchangeable handle Goso dimple pick set comes with a similar tensioner

      @Dmaclocksport "Tulip" not "Rose" as I thought the KIKs were called!

    Yeah, you can have every concievable type of pick, but if you don't have a tensioner that fits and gives control and positive feedback, you're gonna really struggle to pick that challenging lock. It's great that so many Locksport channels now devote some time in to explaining tensioning and tensioners. I'm happy That Multipick have responded by producing this. Fab!!! Does the Christine Palmer one fit into Disk detainer locks to align all the disks?

    Multipick also have dual sided versions of the bok and tok tensionsers turning 6 pairs of tensioners into just 6 tensioners. Is there any advantage to having them single sided, besides just the fit in slim cases? And how do the dual sided versions compare to the ones from covert instruments? Are there any advantages? I get that as a set this is very complete but if I have the same sized tools from other manufacturers can I just supplement the missing ones in this set from multipick or do they all have an advantage over the rest?

    • @Dmaclocksport
      @Dmaclocksport  3 месяца назад +2

      For me, the advantage of this set, over one you cobble together from different manufacturers, is the neatness. 5 tools and each tool in 3 sizes. Also, there's nothing lacking from the set, it's complete. Double ended toks are great but I like being able to see and select the size I want and slide it in/out my case easily.

  • @sandman_locksport

    I honestly think it is the single best tensioner set. You add the other tension sets from multipick and you will never need another tensioner as long as you live

      Based on what I've tried to date, I agree 100%. I naturally found myself using it most times I'm picking 👍🏻
