    remember the good old days when we never had to think about packing a sitting/kneeling pad in our bags? camping really was a lot more simple as a young lad before the body made so many strange sounds.

    The first person I have seen on RUclips that's using one of these grills correctly!

      you mean not putting the grill and food on a big fire and melting/burning everything?

      Hard to find aussie brand's these days lol, nah their still out there I just have to look a bit harder.
      We are doing good over here, Yarrawonga and mulwala are super quiet, everyone is doing the right thing.
      Thank's for the comment moose 👍

    If I'm camping I take a full size BBQ plate and grill for over the fire. If I am back packing I cook on a rock or straight on the coals!

    • @Outdoorsaustralia
      @Outdoorsaustralia  4 года назад +1

      Can't say I've ever cooked on a rock but straight on the coal's works great 👍Thank's for taking the time to comment mate.

    If you didn't do the into some would think you were praying for better times while lighting the fire,theres nothing wrong with the old cake tray been using one for years. Lately I've been doing the kid's nuggets in the pan or bbq, I was surprised how well they came out as well. Cheers Craig 🍻

      Thank's for the comment Craig, the nuggets were surprisingly easy not sure why we haven't tried them before.

    Good demo Daz! $65, is a bit rich for my blood! Old fridge racks do me nicely! ;o)

    • @Outdoorsaustralia
      @Outdoorsaustralia  4 года назад +2

      Yeah that's the only problem with the super light gear is the cost$. How are you doing with the lockdown? It's eerily quiet here, was out the end of my street to film this and not a boat on the river or person in the bush.... can't say I've seen it that quiet in all the years I have lived here 😲

      @@Outdoorsaustralia I'm still in and out a bit, stayed home today for a change.
      Would LIKE 'exercise/recreation' clarification if you want to go solo fishing, and there is no1 else around! It's far safer OUT DOORS than in a building with others!

    Thats the same grill as sold by boundless voyage out of china. No doubt from the same factory. The bag that it comes in looks better with the alton one but is it worth an extra 30 bucks?

    • @Outdoorsaustralia
      @Outdoorsaustralia  4 года назад

      I haven't seen the boundless journey grill but if its the same one with the thick neoprene case its really heavy, but your right about there being some similar models out there that are cheaper.
      Cheers Daryl

      @@Outdoorsaustralia no it comes with a lightweight fabric cover very similar to the Alton one but much lighter fabric. Bit flimsy imo but light.

    Nice review thanks. I would not have thought to try cooking chicken nuggets on a hiking grill but looks like it might be a winner! :)
