  • Welcome to another episode of our garden renovation series! In this video, we complete our new sleeper wooden pathway with summer flower bed and chippings. We show you how easy it is to transform a messy garden into a modern path. Fab also gives an update on his creative home office and builds his new standing desk. We get to choose some amazing flowers from The Old Railway Line garden centre and create our flower bed!!

I know obviously it’s your own choices and none of our opinions matter(rightly so!), but I am so happy that you decided not to move, it’s a stunning house with so much potential to be the perfect family home and I LOVE seeing how you’re developing it with your own stamp on it!! So inspiring as a first time buyer, me and my fiance bought our house in August but were only now finding the means to really start taking it to the next level and I’m getting so much advice/inspiration from your videos!

Looks great. You might saw the boards at the end of the path at an angle down towards the ground to take away the point that in my case caused two trips to ER when my 3yr old fell while running after the dog and hit the sharp edge. (7 stitches) And around ten days later my 8 yr old went for 13 stitches. Just a suggestion of course.
When your roses flower then the flower dies cut them down the stem after the point of no less the 4 leaves on a single branch of they will flower more often. Calla Lilly's very pretty and I suggest Hummingbird feeder if you have them in your area. Much love to you all. Fab the office looking great to, finally (oh did I say that out loud. Lol

I would put bark around the roses as if you get any black spot, it can fall on the leaves and go into the soil to the roots and kill the roses. Also give the roses some rose feed once every fortnight between now and late summer, it will make them grow amazing!! Took me a good few years to get to grips with roses, but I advise do your homework on them xxx

Great transformation, looks great. Just a bit of advice you would of ideally painted the bottom of the sleepers with some black jack paint and the sides in contact with soil. You will be lucky to get two years out of them before they start rotting.

The garden looks great, luv those sleepers!!! The best results you get from plants is to let them climatize to your garden after bringing them home from the nursery. Just leave them for about 2 weeks in their existing pots and water with a seaweed/fish solution a day or two before transplanting them. And never put fertilizer in direct contact with the roots, it can burn them, its better to sprinkle additions evenly onto the soil, then fork it through, and always tease the root ball and cut off any extras, i made a rookie mistake with my Limonium's and they died, the root ball was so tight that apparently they were strangled, this also encourages the plants to take off faster as they establish new roots. But luv how it's going, the sleepers look AMAZING and I like how you put the first 👍 reminder when Fab was topless sawing a sleeper😆😉

Wait till you brush past them or the rain bobs on them the smell is incredible I have two also. Get rid of the ivy on the fence as it will tangle the roses. I love all the plants y’all bought. Your garden will not only look beautiful but will also smell wonderful. The boys were so cute lending their little helping hands where they could. Maybe next year you could let the boys plant a couple of tomato plants and some strawberry plants. Y’all should check out the channel Celebrating Appalachia. They grow their own vegetable gardens and flowers. They have a wealth of knowledge about growing things and they also have a set of twin girls that were born 27 years ago and each of them just had their first baby this past spring. I think you could learn a lot about plants and would really enjoy their channel. Hope all of you have a wonderful day. Hugs from the south east coast of Florida.😎🌴🐠🌴😎

Dont mulch with bark. Weeds will still grow in it.Put a decent membrane around the plants. (Not the cheap fabic stuff its rubbish). Then cover that with purple slate. It will be easier to maintain. It will show the plants off. It will add more definition and colour which will change when it rains. And will be a contrast to the pathway

Love the start on the garden. I think the dark pink flowers you were trying to pronounce are impatiens. The are annuals and die off every winter here in 🇨🇦. Not sure about you in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Lovely selection of plants .. btw the one you had had trouble saying Fab (impotent). 😂😂., are called inpatients as in patients in the hospital 😂. We have them here in Oz as well .. they come in heaps of different colours and also variegated leaves as well.
Garden in looking fantastic! Just wondering if your going to get rid of that left over vine growing on the fence, i hope so and maybe poison it so it doesn’t grow back and choke the roses when they’ve grown and spread. Top jog though both of you xx
