I think a lot of people, me too, are upset that her characters gone because Amy pretty much was Superstore.
That cast had so many funny people. She didn't carry the show imo but she was certainly a good character. Dina is the stand out for me as far as how many funny quotables she's had.

So I legit just finished the show and I’ve watched a lot of sitcoms in my life as I’ve gotten older I’ve clearly become a lot more emotional when it comes to certain shows but never in 1 million years would I have thought that the ending to this show specifically would be so sweet and so sentimental it was honestly one of the perfect endings in sitcom history honestly and it was so awesome to see how everything finished such a great show definitely a comfort show I couldn’t have asked for anything better for a series finale I will definitely miss the show

It sucks she's leaving the dynamics of the show is going to really change, when Steve Carrell left The Office after 7 Seasons it wasn't the same, the show only lasted 2 more seasons before ending. Hoping Superstore makes it to at least Season 10.
Meh, America's character isn't really funny and is kind of annoying to be honest. Mark McKinney, Colton Dunn or Lauren Ash leaving would be a different story.

shawn1428 The show is going to get cancelled next season mark my words, these last two episodes have been awful and the show has already lost it’s touch, and with Jonah leaving soon we’ll only really have Mateo, Glenn, Dina and Cheyanne and they’re all supporting characters so the show will begin to sink and eventually plummet after season 7 and not make it for a 8th season. It happens with all shows where people leave, community never recovered since season six was so bad, parks and rec was still good but could never gain the same momentum and like you said the office. Comedies that make it to the ten season mark keep a consistent cast for the entire time (Friends, Modern Family etc) so ya superstore doesn’t stand a chance

Marryam Kamran Ahhahaha that’s what I thought the title meant, those two episodes were just oof, a bunch of jokes that majority missed the mark and I chopped it up to COVID but this seems like the pattern of the show which is sad, I’ll watch this season and season 7 but I know it won’t last longer than that

I got to tell you I don't think I could take the show without her on it. The strangeness of the other characters was balanced by her inability to complete a sentence and to say anything to hurt somebody's feelings. But the other characters especially Glen drive me nuts. I know it's a comedy but I think because I'm turning 60 I've lost a little patience for irreverent people.

Update: I didn't know that America was pregnant a second time during Season 5 of Superstore, after her first time pregnant in Season 3. I know 2 kids is a much bigger responsibility than 1 kid, but I retroactively still find her decision to leave Superstore very odd because Melissa Gallo didn't leave Brooklyn Nine-Nine in Season 8 after she had 2 kids! That is why I assumed that America Ferrera was going bald and she wrote her character off by going to California because of it. In Blue's Clues, Steve Burns went to a college and had Donovan Patton (Joe) replace him as the live-action host, because Steve Burns in real life was going bald fast and refused to lose his hair on a children's show, whereas Donovan Patton did not have the same early baldness issue and he still had a full head of hair many years later in Blue's Clues & You.
Since Cheyenne took Amy's place as floor supervisor 1 episode after Amy's departure, I believed Cheyenne to be the new lead of Superstore and this would be the start of the Cheyenne era, or the Nichole Sakura era. Unfortunately, Season 6 has been announced to be Superstore's final season, but because the writers and directors still have time to work on the final episodes, they can think of how to bring America Ferrera back for the finale. Maybe Cheyenne in Superstore was not as good of a successor as Joe in Blue's Clues, but I still feel very sorry for Nichole Sakura because she got only 1/3 of the Superstore episodes to be a floor supervisor than what Donovan Patton had as the new host of Blue's Clues. Her character truly devolved into such a bad store manager, not to mention her personal relationships. Almost impossibly bad communication, dishonest, even considering it being a sitcom character. The writers (if they were the ones making the choices) really did Amy wrong.
