What Dricus said really wasn't anything crazy, as he said he just stated facts. Now, the words from his coach are somewhat problematic but they aren't DDP's words. I think what Dricus meant to say, and I'm just speculating, with regards to Ariel's question about the important of these facts, is simply to advance African MMA and inspire more kids. It's similar to Leon Edwards talking about how nowadays you don't need to travel to the US anymore to get to that level. You can become champ while staying at home. From South Africa: Some people may argue that because he is white, he is not "African" enough to represent the continent in the UFC. However, this view is based on a narrow and outdated definition of what it means to be African. South Africa is a diverse country with a complex history of racial and ethnic divisions. While it is true that the majority of South Africans are black, the country also has significant white, Indian, and mixed-race populations. All of these groups have contributed to the country's rich cultural heritage and should be recognized as part of the broader African identity. Furthermore, the UFC is a global organization that values talent and skill over racial or ethnic background. Dricus Du Plessis has earned his place in the UFC through hard work and dedication, and he should be judged based on his athletic abilities, not his race or nationality. In conclusion, the idea that Dricus Du Plessis is not "African" enough to represent the continent in the UFC is a misguided and divisive view. South Africa is a diverse country with a complex history, and all of its citizens should be recognized as part of the broader African identity. The UFC is a global organization that values talent and skill above all else, and Dricus Du Plessis deserves to be judged on his athletic abilities, not his race or nationality.

If throwing stones and hiding your hand was a person
From South Africa:
Some people may argue that because he is white, he is not "African" enough to represent the continent in the UFC.

I can't see this guy doing anything at all to bother Israel outside of the first round, and even then its a picogram of a percentage. Outside of the first round Dricus is just a slow, wreckless, lethargic hunk of lard just waiting for a REAL AFRICAN lion to feast on him ;)
Izzy leg kicks at range, Alex has no chin and is 35 year old man out of prime
We saw what you did there Ariel, pointing out that you spoke to him more times when he was in America making him seem to contradict all his comments to his fellow African fighters 😂 very Classy Ariel.
I was wondering if that's what he was doing, lol...
Yes, not difficult to understand. He interviewed him after the fights. The last interview he had with him DDP was literary siting in the airport on his way home.
People are ignorant enough they won’t realize his interviews were during and after fights, when he was fighting in the US! This was no vindication on him being in the US all the time…Provide some context for the oxygen deprived lol
The media twisted his words, now that he explained himself I understand
He could’ve just said I’ll bring the belt back to Africa. Dricus knew what he was doing
@@DWoodsII I agree , definitely knew what he was doing , and he also knew what the media would do with it
@@DWoodsII That's exactly what he said, why don't you watch the interviews before coming to conclusions buddy.
@@DWoodsII where did it hurt you specifically?
