I have this journal in red and it's even more delightful in person. The journal text is primarily based on The Hero's Journey (look up Joseph Campbell for more info) and, from what I remember, the whole thing is hand drawn, which is possibly why it's expensive for a 90 day planner. I also conducted a pen test with fountain pens (TWSBI 580AL with fine nibs) and had no bleed through and very little shadowing. Other pen tests I conducted: Pilot Permanent Sign Pen bled through but the Copic Multiliner (.25 nib) did not. And the Mildliners didn't even shadow! If you love fantasy, art, and need a 90 day goal planner/journal, I highly recommend this one.❤ ETA if you are on the fence, they offer the first 70 pages as a free download to try out before you buy.
Thank you for sharing. I'm sending the downloadable link to my friends that work in college student leadership for them to share with their students. I know my former student employees would have all loved this. Even the non geeky needy ones. I'll be sharing at our student hackathons as well.

They always make some free pages of each story line available for those that can't afford the full priced planner. They also have free journal fridays on Facebook and Instagram. They go live and give away a journal. I forget what time it is but they always have it at the same time each Friday, so check their previous posts.

Thanks for the review, Cindy. Perhaps this journal would be a gift for someone who would use it for an alternative timeline, not as their every-day planner. A seven-day “week” could become seven sessions of writing, for example, or seven classes in a subject. It could be really valuable to reframe writing or study as a journey.
Definitely think you should review the others!!! I first saw these on How to ADHD’s channel and she definitely thought it was good for people with ADHD!
Most journals/planners that cost $50 I feel aren't worth it. But this one actually seems like they put work and thought into this! And it makes all the things I hate doing seem fun. I like this!
I would love to see the magic wand one. I was looking at this for my daughter and also considering pushing to stock these products at our game store, particularly the side quest decks that people could just pick up and use. Might be a nice “gateway drug,” if you will. lol
This planner is AMAZING! I will be purchasing as a gift for my partner, who struggles a bit with planning but LOVES all things Lord of the Rings, DND, and storytelling. I vote you review the galaxy themed planner in 2023 as Sci-fi, especially Star Trek is my jam.
This is the coolest journal I've ever seen in my life. I'll definitely be trying this in the future. I've never been so bummed to already have purchased my journal for the first part of the new year! Think I might nab one for my teenager too!! 💖💖
I have the first journal, the magic academy in the blue. I wish the box was so colorful, but back then they were black and white. Have been thinking of taking some color to it. I would love to have the green one with the gold ribbon, because it is also the colors of my high school.
I loved this journal, but I don't use it as a planner perse. With no calendar pages, it feels more like a goal setter and tracker - which is great, just not the same thing for me.
I love it! Have wanted one since last year. Easily in my top 10 I'd get right now if the funds fell out of the sky. So unique and perfect for me because I love games, particularly RPG. Really wish more planner companies would come up with gaming journals. So many Guided, Books, Faith, Wellness, Whoever can come up with an affordable gaming themed planner would make a mint. The closest format I've seen that might work are the Teacher planners.
This is adorable! I saw it on How to ADHD awhile back and considered it but for some reason I tend to hesitate. I think you put it well, it's very structured. I could see if I had a simpler to do/life plan as this being perfect for my brain
I am so excited about this planner! I think I'm going to get the digital bundle of all three so that I can have them disc punched. I'm honestly most looking forward to the adventuring and outer space one, though the magic one seems just ok for me. You touch on executive function which is essentially code for adhd, and I feel you pegged that right.
Love this. I'd be willing to spend $50 for this journal. Sounds like a good journal for someone who likes to write. I'd probably use it to branch out from just doing to-do lists.
I used this journal this year in conjunction with the Makselife planner. It essentially was my daily reflection journal to pick my top to dos each day.
Thank You for the review. I actually ordered the digital only version a couple of days ago for several reasons: 1) I live in Europe and the wait time for mail delivery was going to be too much. 2) I can print it out several times and just do it over and over (Preview on Mac lets you print it out as a booklet by rearranging the pages for you and you could bind it yourself...) 3) I can print out a couple of pages for one of the kiddos and see if they like it and use it. 4) They also offer a download of a PDF that you can just fill out at the computer or your tablet. For those of us who don't like or can't do the journaling by hand.
Thanks so much for taking a look at this. I've been so curious about it since it's all over my social media lately. Not something I can use right now but def keeping it mind for when the right goal comes along.
Hell yeah, for the other 2! That is AWESOME! Cute but also, they worked a lot on this, and it feels thoughtfully made, not at all a parody of planner or goal setting. I'm really glad this exists, it's to bad it would be far to expensive to have it come all the way to France... That would be a very nice present for the young adults in my family (you know, beginning university and all...). Plus not toxic for people who struggle a bit with mental health (most young people living in these shitty times?)
Check out their website. They do have some free downloads. Also How to ADHD here on RUclips did a review of this planner and has a link to free downloads. It isn't the full planner, but it is 72(?) Pages worth, if I remember correctly.
