Probably the most important component of this clip was the memorable music that I recognized from the end of the Mr. Bean movie. Probably the greatest legacy Rowan Atkinson will leave from his long artistic career. That composer was brilliant.
There's a scene in the last half of Ex Machina, with the protagonist and antagonist sitting under a kind of veranda on a green hill, talking quietly, with the wind blowing the dark green shrubs around them, and the composition and atmosphere of this shot is absolutely exquisite. It astounds me every time I see it.
I love these. A part 3 would be my awesome. Here are my personal favorites that were unmentioned: - the scene in What Dreams May Come where they are frolicking in the waterpaint flowers - Adam Sandler dragging his knuckles over a keyboard in "Punch-Drunk Love" - the library reveal in Beauty and the Beast - the final Harry Potter films had beautiful shots in strange wild terrains - Kirsten Dunst on the football field in "The Virgin Suicides" - the sugar factory scene in "Gone Girl" - Brokeback Mountain, Heath Ledger against the fireworks background
This is the type of video you'd want to watch while ascending to Heaven while hearing a voice gently say: "It was worth it - all of it. Mankind - you have been redeemed." The background music was the deal-breaker for me. Well done.
Park Chan-wook movies often contain series of beautiful shots. Oldboy, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, JSA, The Handmaiden, I'm a Cyborg but It's OK, etc. Even his short film, Night Fishing (Paranmanjang) which was filmed with an iPhone was shot well. He usually collaborate with cinematographer Chung Chung-hoon, Kim Sung-Bok, and Kim Byeong-il.
This collection shows that there can be beauty in more than just the good. The scenes depicting harsh violence and realities of war can sometime be just as starkly breathtaking. Something in common with both samurai and cowboys, showing how the last moments of life can be the most appreciated, when viewed in the right mindset.
I'm kinda late but I suggest "Moonrise Kingdom"! The way it was shot is absolutely beautiful, and the colors really pop. (If it was already done, sorry) Also, since anime is included in this, scenes from "5 cm per second' and "Your Name (Kimi no Na wa) both have great scenes that are well-animated, as well as beautiful landscapes and architecture. I really hope that you are able to make a 3rd version of this, because I know that there are many more shots that can fit into this category.
The Night of the Hunter has some of the most beautiful scenes. The river scenes with the children drifting in a boat, with the song and musical score, really are beautiful.
Daniel Haile ik this isn't an oscar movie but in 10 things i hate about you, the part where Cameron and the other guy threw the party invitations thru the school ladders where also a greats scene. great soundtrack too!
You made an awesome series here, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'm just missing some movies, such as Unforgiven. In my opinion, this movie has some of the most beautiful shots of all time.
@your favourite pizza guy. You are absolutely spot on. 2001 :A space odyssey is one of the finest. Kubrik is a master in setting up beautiful scenes as he himself was photographer before directing films.
So glad the final scene of the third man was included. When I see it I can actually smell the leaves falling from the trees and see the pale October sun trying to shine through the clouds.
An excellent collection of fine movie clips but not sure if most beautiful.i think the beauty is found in the longer take and the emotion attached to it.
Okay so I see what you're going for, but I feel like its a major discredit to practically all of these films. Perhaps, even unintentionally, insulting. Shots like (the patricians choice, I know) the opening scene to Raging Bull isn't fantastic because of a 3-second blip--its fantastic because of its full 3 minute duration. I fully understand that you are just doing a "collage" or "montage" or maybe even "homage" to these shots, and thats great, but I think to properly give these masterpiece scenes the credit they deserve, you need to give them just that--a scene. The full 3 minutes.
i agree, this entire video shows an imature understanding of art as a spectacle to be marveled at rather than you know, art. Just like how he throws in some japanese films from the only 2 japanese directors who exist, miyazaki and kurosawa. they're not there for any reason other than 'it's a foreign black and white film' and 'its animated'.
Great shots (I wouldn't call all of them "beautiful"). I'd include stuff from Tak Fujimoto and Steve McQueen/Sean Bobbitt (big miss). The Fountain, The Grandmaster and HP & the Deathly Hallows (particularly part 1) also come to mind for their amazing shots!

I don't know if anybody will agree with me, but The Secret Life of Walter Mitty has some of the most beautiful scenes in cinema history. Some of the scenes are just gorgeous in this film. Especially the scene where he's playing soccer with those kids
Me too. It's genuinely one of my favorites
100% agree. All of the shots bear the same spirit. I love the scene where he just skates down a mountain, or the moment where shawn is on the roof of the plane with the volcano eruption. But my favorite part is probably the beginning credits which are just the quintessence of shots i enjoy in movies.
somebody definitely does agree with that opinion and its me
I liked the movie itself too.

This is why animation needs to be recognized as an art form. Too many people dismiss it not to be.
I love the variety. Old, new. Black and white and colour. Fantasy and realist. Animation and live action. There is perfect art in all of these different forms. Something that a lot of people seem to forget when it comes to music or art or acting or whatever. There is such a breadth and depth to these art forms, that there is beauty in all of them.
Awe-inspiring! Miyazaki really has a knack for good shots.

- the scene in What Dreams May Come where they are frolicking in the waterpaint flowers
- Adam Sandler dragging his knuckles over a keyboard in "Punch-Drunk Love"
- the library reveal in Beauty and the Beast
- the final Harry Potter films had beautiful shots in strange wild terrains
- Kirsten Dunst on the football field in "The Virgin Suicides"
- the sugar factory scene in "Gone Girl"
- Brokeback Mountain, Heath Ledger against the fireworks background
the music and imagery make these videos absolutely stunning
I could feel my heart beating faster while watching this
Some great shots here. I've always been impressed with the opening scene of the original "Blade Runner as well as shots from 2001 Space Odyssey.
shawshank redemption, final shot of the film. God, thats one of my favourite shots of all time.
That movie has a lot of my favourite shots of all time. Masterpiece
The rain scene .....of freedom.
Zihuatanejo filmed by Roger Deakins, a true living legend
This is the type of video you'd want to watch while ascending to Heaven while hearing a voice gently say: "It was worth it - all of it. Mankind - you have been redeemed." The background music was the deal-breaker for me. Well done.
The entire LOTR trilogy?
I see, you're a man of culture as well
Merchant Ivory films are a visual feast. I greatly enjoyed these clips..stunning!
Other famous directors: We share small parts of this video as a collaboration between a large cast of divers-
Hiyao Miyazaki: *Mine*
I just love that you used this powerful score, "Mad Pianos" from Bean movie.
If you haven't seen the studio ghibli-films you haven't lived life.
I’d watch them if it wasn’t for the art style, which I’m not a fan of at all.
@@jackdonohue7893 the Ghibli Movies are true works of art, masterpieces in every aspect.
@@jackdonohue7893 incredibly callous way on your part of consuming media
I do not like them, to be honest
@@jocelyn4650 you can find them on netflix, I think a great movie to start with is princess mononoke
Coming back here from time to time just to make sure I'm still capable of feeling anything. This time I cried, so I guess it worked out well enough.
Thirst is also gorgeous
Thanks for adding that shot from Sicario, amazed me the first time I saw it
35 seconds into the video and i cry like a little bitch.. this song is my childhood thank you its beautiful
name of the song?
@@mikoy9241mad pianos ❤
I like how Apocalypse Now is on here twice.
hi! could you post a list of all the movies that appear in the video?
Amazing that mr. bean movie theme could fit so well in this kinda tribute for filming.
You could just show the entirety of Barry Lyndon and you'd be set
2:29 A hand touching a sky blue wall with caution... That two second of clip could symbolise the whole movie. Indeed beautiful.
Is the music from "Bean"?
YAS
What is the name ?
Yes at least I think so
Solaris 21 Brancastre it’s actually called Mad Piano
Aaawww yes!!! I almost lost it just by thinking “what movie’s this music from? I know I’ve watched the movie a lot as a child!” Thanks, lad🍻
I LOVE YOU FOR INCLUDING SICARIOS TUNNEL SCENE.
Tip for part 3: Akira opening bike scene and/or any shot from End of Neon Genesis
This collection shows that there can be beauty in more than just the good.
The scenes depicting harsh violence and realities of war can sometime be just as starkly breathtaking. Something in common with both samurai and cowboys, showing how the last moments of life can be the most appreciated, when viewed in the right mindset.
Nice to see all the Tarkovsky
not all. there isn't stalker.
Antonino Di Palma that's not what all means here...
This is one of the videoes, that every human has to see ones in a lifetime .
i don't feel like these are the most beautiful shots but rather significant visual moments in the respective films =)
1:14 what an incredible shot just *BEAUTIFUL* ❤️✨
I'm kinda late but I suggest "Moonrise Kingdom"! The way it was shot is absolutely beautiful, and the colors really pop. (If it was already done, sorry)
Also, since anime is included in this, scenes from "5 cm per second' and "Your Name (Kimi no Na wa) both have great scenes that are well-animated, as well as beautiful landscapes and architecture.
I really hope that you are able to make a 3rd version of this, because I know that there are many more shots that can fit into this category.
The Night of the Hunter has some of the most beautiful scenes. The river scenes with the children drifting in a boat, with the song and musical score, really are beautiful.
Add Moonlight. it has such a beautiful cinematography.
Also any Steve Mcqueen movie
Oh, also In the Mood For Love
Daniel Haile ik this isn't an oscar movie but in 10 things i hate about you, the part where Cameron and the other guy threw the party invitations thru the school ladders where also a greats scene. great soundtrack too!
how on earth is he suppose to add it? he cant go back in time and re-edit the video lol
Hello
I’m glad that you put Tarkovsky’s shots in this video!
do a part III please!
it's a very inspiring video!
You made an awesome series here, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'm just missing some movies, such as Unforgiven. In my opinion, this movie has some of the most beautiful shots of all time.
Call me by your name needs to be in here
Congratulations on a fine production. How I love cinema.
Happy new year.
tarkovski is a genius
Wonderful collection. Thanks.
I love to watch serious Hollywood movies on Sunday afternoon, Animation/fantacy Saturday night.
"The Mr Bean Theme - Mad Pianos"
What it took to make a movie at one point, it’s unimaginable how people can create these things.
Where is Drive?
THANK YOU
the elevator scene
in the trash where it belongs
This is inspiring me to be a filmmaker, not necesarily a Hollywood director but just make my own movies.
This is good, follow up your dreams.
Excellent shots! Is there a list somewhere of all the movies featured?
Or listing of what the music featured in this is?
***** Thank you
The fact that I recognized all of the animation shots means that my life is not a waste
WHERE THE HELL IS 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY?
He would have to put the entire movie if he considered that movie .
@@buddimalliyanapathirana1767 True that.
@your favourite pizza guy. You are absolutely spot on. 2001 :A space odyssey is one of the finest. Kubrik is a master in setting up beautiful scenes as he himself was photographer before directing films.
its in the part 1 mate
So glad the final scene of the third man was included. When I see it I can actually smell the leaves falling from the trees and see the pale October sun trying to shine through the clouds.
Do a third one!! And a slower pace would be nice :)
i just got goosebumps all over my body im not even kidding
I think they'll make another Part of this Video, Because i didn't see any Satyajit Ray Movie in this one.
Billy Elliot's last shot is stunning. You know, when he jumps as the white swan. It's breathtaking
WAIIIT A MINUTE.... Didn't there used to be a movie list here? What happened?
The zoom-in shot of the hospital from Akira was beautiful
Lmao those Chinese shots were hilarious asf😹
That scene showing the earth and the spacecraft at the right side in Interstellar. I have that as my wallpaper.
What's that song at the beginning I always forget, it's so iconic
Thank you for this beautiful work!
The list is incomplete without Martin Scorcese's "Silence".
silence had cool visuals but very few had emotional impact (especially if you didn’t relate to the extreme faith of people in the film)
Orson already knew the question but couldn't pretend to wait to answer it.
Next time pleaseslow down the pace. It would help the audience to appreciate the shots more. :)
Yeah thats what I thought
obin.be definitely but I loved how at the beginning of this one the quick changes went with the beat
You can pause it ya know...
@FR amps
Then I'd just be looking at stills, which I'm not interested in. He does have a point though.
But personally the pacing was fine.
obin.be then they wouldn't be the shots, it would be parts that aren't as good looking, or the scene before.
An excellent collection of fine movie clips but not sure if most beautiful.i think the beauty is found in the longer take and the emotion attached to it.
What's the background soundtrack? Much appreciated for the answer
ruclips.net/video/cmQjxQAeqJw/видео.html
Beautiful, excited that you included some Tarkovsky shots, and a beautiful shot in Vertigo that is my favorite!!
Happy to see a "city of God" here
Thank you. This was a wonderful reminder how great cinema is…. Thank you
Can you please list all of the movies in order?
Never thought I would see A Little Princess make it in here! Such an underseen and underrated Alfonso Cuaron movie.
Im only asking once again: Where is Moonrise Kingdom???
The spirited away's flower scene is actually beautiful
So much of that movie could be in this video. Those hand drawn scenes are just fantastic.
Interstellar. When they realize they’re in a swell. Yikes lol
I'm glad y'all put anime in here. Highly under appreciated in Hollywood and the awards.
The beautiful two-shot of Don Vito Corleone & Michael in the yard, discussing the plan to exact revenge on their rivals. Exquisite.
wish this video was made in 2019 just so they could include 1917
The climax was indeed the perfect climax for the video
Great shots (I wouldn't call all of them "beautiful"). I'd include stuff from Tak Fujimoto and Steve McQueen/Sean Bobbitt (big miss). The Fountain, The Grandmaster and HP & the Deathly Hallows (particularly part 1) also come to mind for their amazing shots!
shawshank redemption to finish, nicely done
I really enjoyed the video but I liked the music more. Does anyone know the name of the song used?
Gracie ? Omg no ones answer for 2 years - it’s mad pianos aka the bean theme for me bean
The whole movie Hero is just Beautiful Shot after Beautiful Shot and Beautiful Shot. It's the most Incredible visual movie I have ever seen.
