Amanda, this folio is beautiful. Thanks for teaching me all the ins and outs. I made six of last months folio, for my kids. I think I'll be making a couple of these. 😊
I'm watching this tutorial for the second time now 😜 The soft steampunk papers are ready, the black cardstock cut and scored 🥳 The cutting and scoring guide is very easy to follow, thanks ❤
YAY! I finished assembling my folio, now i need to choose a paper collection. That truly is the hardest part for me! Especially when im giving it to someone else.
Absolutely gorgeous folio! Love it! Thank you so much for taking the time to do a tutorial, for sharing and for just being you and your hard work! Take care x
Thank you Amanda, I must have watched it 3 or 4 times I did practice cuts using crap scrapbook paper just to get the feel of it. I have to get Black card stock, the stuff I have is not good for this project. .Brilliant it is.
Frankly, folios scare the heck out of me. The ones I tried to make usually end up in the recycle bin or trash. Even the thought of a double folio is beyond scary. Because I love your steampunk kit and the folio you made, not to mention how you teach via your videos, I decided to take the plunge got the kit, the supporter instructions, and am going to give this a try. I, for one, appreciate all you do for your fans! Thank you. I want to thank you for creating this in Word since I was able to enlarge the text to actually see what I am doing. I also want to say thank you for keeping the majority of the measurements to quarters and halves! 🎉 Doing things in eighths messes up my mind making me go wacky! Taking the small things into consideration for others makes things so much less scary!
Thank you so much Amanda! I’m a new subscriber and I absolutely love your teaching style. And you have such an amazing laugh 😊. This is my next project! Can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with next!
It's okay, I just got ChatAI to do the coversions. Pasted document in and let him sort it out. Got him to round up/down to the nearest half centimetre. But no, my trimmer hasn't got a track, just an edge. It's all good.@@Scrimpingmommy
Mistakes are a good thing it’s how we learn and figuring how to still make it work if we make a mistake is a great strength shows resilience and adaptability .. mistakes are never a negative xx
I purchased the kit. I didn’t see the guide in the downloads. How do I get a copy? Thank you. Love this kit and will follow your tutorial here.🦋🦋🦋 Nevermind I see I have to purchase the instructions. No prob. Thank you.
I am nervous about attempting this folio (folios are scary) I have a couple of questions. How many sheets of the card stock does the folio need? I am going to use for a Christmas journal but not sure if I have enough colored card stock on hand. Also, should we add our paper to the base folio before we adhere the belly bands, pockets, tuck spots etc.
I honestly didn’t count the sheets of card .. but likely best to have at least 8-10.. the way it’s designed you can add paper after cut it 1/4 inch smaller on the height and the width .. remember if a page has a large pocket the paper only needs to layer inside by 1/2” it doesn’t need to go all the way to the bottom inside the pocket x
@@Scrimpingmommy Thank you for the updated information. I found in my stash some horrible black card stock I purchased when I was starting out making cards a couple years ago so am going to make a test folio before working on the good stuff. Will update the pages and add to my instructions for later use. LOL I already screwed up the front folio so had to remake. It was less scary with the written instructions. Getting ready to rewatch the video for numbering pages and making the pockets and such. Hope you have a lovely evening.
@@craftydreamswithandrea6982ahhh ok yeah sorry I do work in inches … all trimmers tend to have both on if that helps .. but yeah I’m a bit dumb with cms ha ha xxx

Wonderful you answered my question on card stock😇 250 gsm 91 lb
I use 225 or 250.. currently mine is 225 xx
Yes watch the video through and then watch it again and so on 😂😂
Yeah it is like a free class that you can watch over again.. a real class once over is over you can't re do it .. so videos are great x
💜Wonderful!💜
Thank you x
Beautiful journal=^^=
Thank you x
LOL I just purchased the instructions and then remembered my scoreboard is in centimetres. Will have to go through and convert all the measurements.
Nooooo .... Does your trimmer have inches ? you could use that and just score along the cutting track with a score tool ? xx

Well I made a couple of mistakes that I hope I can cover with the steampunk. But still proud of myself getting this far lol.
Mistakes are a good thing it’s how we learn and figuring how to still make it work if we make a mistake is a great strength shows resilience and adaptability .. mistakes are never a negative xx
250 GSM is equal to about 65 pound card stock in US
I purchased the kit. I didn’t see the guide in the downloads. How do I get a copy? Thank you.
Love this kit and will follow your tutorial here.🦋🦋🦋
Nevermind I see I have to purchase the instructions. No prob. Thank you.
It’s a purchase unless you are a monthly ko-fi subby then it’s free xx

Amanda the cardstock you are using is aprox. 65 pounds in the US
Thank you for that helpful information xx
I was wondering if the top flat on page 3 is a different measurement than on the cutting guidelines. It looks different to me?
Nope it’s the same as the cutting guide x
@@Scrimpingmommy ok that was the last thing for me to add! And the binder will be done!
Oh I wish this was in measurements I don’t have to think lol
The exact measurements are available at a low cost in my ko-fi link below the video x
@@Scrimpingmommy on I meant in inches lol. Embarrassing but not good with metrics. I would totally buy it 💜

@@Scrimpingmommyoh your directions is in inches that I can purchase? I definitely want it then. I thought it was in metrics lol.
Got it! Now to see if my printer will be decent enough to print then I will buy the paper pack!
