ONF made k-pop history as the first music group ever to enlist together as a group…Except for U, who is Japanese, otherwise he would of enlisted as well...
They made this decision so they could go as a team to support each other and to make it actually be just the length of one enlistment in total and return sooner to their fans and the music they love to do...
ONF wrote letters to their fans on their deep feelings on how they felt enlisting together and how they felt leaving there fans in total and how it feels personally to enlist as well...
ONF are extremely heart-felt individuals...
During their enlistment they sprinkled in some content they recorded before leaving, dropped an album SPECIAL ALBUM: STORAGE OF ONF...and a title track MV to "YOUR SONG"...
They even did dance covers in the military that was released on RUclips (with other members of different idol groups that were in the military at that time)...
As well as U competing in a dance competition during the rest of the members enlistment...U is the main dancer and if you look at his dance covers in general, he's been amazing even since before debut...
I missed them while they enlisted, but it was great knowing they enlisted together to support each other, that warmed my heart...Plus the meticulous way they sprinkled in pre-recorded content along the way of their enlistment "almost" felt like such a short time they were gone...
Yes! ONF is one of my fave Asian music groups and from this song and others, you can see why...
If you have ever checked these song out, BY MY MONSTER feels like "WHY 2.0" or "MOSCOW MOSCOW 2.0"...this song also gives me E'LAST vibes and they another of my top groups...
ONF is one of those groups, that has a consistent "RETRO-FUTURE" sound and lore and MVs since day one and I love that concept...some of my two fave concepts and combining the two is top tier for me...
When you listen to any style of ONF Retro-Future concept or watch their amazingly conceptual MVs (the fx team needs a substantial raise), it's like being transported into another space and time...another universe that is uniquely ONF and nobody else...
When I listen to this new ONF song I feel deeply moved, my soul goes out and it lingers on the heart always.
Most of their music videos are very well shot and they usally travel to a lot of different countries to film
ONF has a very complex lore that they started since debut about Cyborgs and time travel
For b-side tracks usally the members will make self produced music videos
This group has a lot of creative control on what they do and they work with some of the best kpop producers Monotree who pretty much make all of ONF music with help from the ONF members and instead of Monotree being hired by the company to produce music its actually Monotree offering to work with ONF
The producers have always had a soft spot for ONF before the members debuted and have never left their side
Dope and freaking good!! ONF is the way to go!! They are going so BIG in sound and the "Annyeong" is just perfectly sung! The lightness of the Annyeong is paradoxically powerful to the ears. Keep reacting to their songs...they are really a treat to the ears and soul. I hope to hear from them forever. Thanks.
This song is so beautiful... definitely song of the year for me. It doesn't matter what else comes out. This is a masterpiece. From the lyrics, and the letter on the video which is written in English, it sounds like he desires someone who doesn't belong to him and knows that loving them when they belong to someone else makes him guilty and crossing the line with this person even once by cheating makes him a monster so he's begging the person not to give him hope and pretend they don't know him and let him go so he can be free of the guilt and pain he feels. In the end, he is reaching down as if to pull his monster self out of hell. That's my take on it... but it's up to interpretation. ❤
This song and MV are absolutely a masterpiece! I'm so happy to see your reaction to it. They deserve all the awards for this stunning work of art.
P.S. - When I first saw the MV without the lyrics I was thinking the same exact way you were about it, now I'm not so sure but idk maybe we are still on to something hearing you say the same kinds of things. But no this really is one of the most amazing things I've ever heard you're so right. ❤

Oh My Girl - The Fifth Season & ONF - Bye My Monster could be siblings song.
The way song sound like anime and both song have duet high noted at the end. Since both from WM, so it’s not weird.
ONF is K-pop and ONF is a genre.

i still can't accept that they went from Love Effect to Bye My Monster because *how* ???????
so basically, in terms of chronology, Goosebumps was their 6th mini album and was released during the end of 2021. It was the last mini album before 5/6 went to military (U didn't have to since he's Japanese). Their military lasted all of 2022 until the summer of 2023. During their military service, in summer 2022, they released a surprise album (these f*ckers didn't even give a warning) entitled "Storage of ONF" with "Your Song" as the title track. Once they were back, they spent the summer 2023 just readjusting and taking part to some RBW concerts and stuff and then in the beginning of autumn (I think ?) they released Love Effect which was their 7th mini album and now we have Beautiful Shadow with Bye My Monster !
