Caleb, Thanks for this. I watched and read everything from the March 30th launch/unbox day and had decided on the `QLED 900B in the 85 inch size. But then I saw this video of yours about the frame. It does not take much to recognize our television is off most of the time - always during the day, a great time to display beautiful art. How wonderful! We use the television at night for movies and sports, and have a top-of-the line Bowers & Wilkins speaker set up. Because of the windows and brightness of this room, we LOVE the resolution, detail and color of our existing Samsung QN65Q9F. Just wish it was bigger. We removed a massive entertainment center to accommodate a larger set and are looking for the perfect TV now. You've left me torn. While we don't expect it will be at the level of the new 900B, will it be close to our existing 4K television? While we'd like even more performance, we're pretty happy with the QN65Q9F. Great review! Been a 1080P Samsung 55" owner since 2016... I'm diving into the QN800, 65", to save a grand on the 75".... hooking it up to my home sound system and we should be pretty happy. My dad, a 4K owner, thought we had a 4K in the old Samsung's display when he saw it, so I can't wait to up it to 8K. Prices are now (04/22) at $2,000 for the 65" - especially since the 'B' revs are now released. They're a bit too pricey for me; I want to pay off our mortgage. :)
8K is useless.. 80% of the available content doesn't even get to 1440p. The bandwidth required to stream 8k is not going to happen due to the law of diminishing returns. HDR and a high frame rate are way more relevant for image quality than pixel count. 4K HDR at 120fps will look way better than 8k at 30fps. That's why S95B is considered the best TV ever made.
Not useless to moi. Loving our Samsung 2021 850A 8K which does excellent upscaling to my eyes. The 4K and even 8K content on RUclips, Netflix, et cetera looks fabulous. It's the best TV for us for now. ;)
Pushing 8K when 4K isn’t even fully out there yet; and 4K is still fairly new to the world. It’s all about a marketing, money, selling scheme with Samsung and the rest of these companies.

Save your cash and buy the QN800A if you want 8K. Looks amazing, blacks and contrast ration is better than they all say and the 4K to 8K upconversion is really really good! If you watch a lot of 4K content, this tv just makes it better! I doubt the upgrades to the 800B are worth $1500.
@@gb3496 If you say so. I replaced a B6 OLED with burn-in. Is it as good in terms of blacks and contrast?? NO, of course not, but it 800A won't have burn-in the way the B6 did. That said, I have both to say what I said and yes, it has better contrast than they say it does. The bars aren't remotely grey and the blacks in some settings are so crushed, I have to lift the Shadow Detail and raise the Gamma in some darker movies.
@@lewisevander Absolutely love it. Have to play around with the settings to get it looking natural just because it is so damn bright.... but when watching 8K videos on RUclips it is mindblowing.
What kind of 8K Processing does the 8K Models have ? Is there Native 8K Processing through HDMI Inputs or is the processing through USB or CPU Sources ?
Q95B???...uhm as far as my knowledge is is concerned, Q90B is Samsung’s flagship 4K tv, the Q900B is their 8K flagship..then finally their new QD tech is pretty much new tech, not quite meant to replace either the two I mentioned earlier..

Yeah ive done same comparing both 8k tv panels and I Think the lg nanocell just crashed samsung qled in terms of firstly! Black levels believe me (black was black not like on this video, I Think it was like Here as „samsung” but Samsung in my shop looked really washed out as someone here said in the comments, you know why they do that :-)) were almost as lg oled (c1 b1) standing next to it(barely really barely ve seen difference, only the difference was a little bit more noticable to sonys a90j oled, almost the same as a80j maybe because it has matte finish and cant reflect that purity of black) vividity of colors, upscaling did a great job to 8k I really hope to see it with the 8k content from RUclips or whatever, contrast and clarity dis a great job too, in samsung what was only good was the color and only that, neither summing those advantages of LG’s to samsung, LG just crashed it, by the way I Think that 8k nanocells are much much different to 4ks because comparing 4K nanocell or qled to 4oled the oled was far superior to qleds, minileds, full arays etc. But! 8k nanocell was almost as oled in terms of black (this might be this 0.035 nits nano black technology) and the HDR in some scenes popped so much that I’ve had to narrow my eyes! And the image in that particular LG looked like REAL! For real 😁 it looked like it was going out of that screen, when in samsung I didnt have a single feeling for this effect 🙂 at the end comparing them would be like that Sony 8k oled > lg 8k oled > Sony 8k full array > lg 8k nanocell > Sony 4K oled >= lg 4K oled (really they’re both great, Sony better upscale, details, sharpness, lg motion motion motion, warranty and blacks) > hisense 4K oled >= philips 4K oled > hisense uled > samsung 4K qled >= rest 😆. Based on my own research going from shop to shop watching those tv and spending time and money to see the truth and compare it to RUclips reviews believe me! As oled lover have one g1 Lg in home im getting lg nanocell 8k 953! I Think I could help you as much as I could
Oh. I thought the QN90B might be the best Sammy this year..its sure scoring some great reviews! Wow what a year for tv comparisons...looking forward to these qleds going up against qd oled.
OK, My 50" Frame (2020) showed up last week and here are my impressions. The mat finish is very nice, but the "illusion" of art has some caveats. (1) The room must be well lit, the TV only gets so dim, and doesn't dim further beyond what I would consider high ambient sunlight situations, so in morning/afternoon, even with lights on the TV will look too "bright" for true artwork. (2) Watercolor works best. For some reason this type of art does the best for the actual "art" illusion. Photos and photo-real art don't have that canvas look, and other art types don't match the art illusion well. Maybe a canvas filter of some kind would aid in this regard, but if you are going for a true "art" look, watercolor is key. The picture quality is good. Not as good as my sony x900, but good, and the mat finish really makes for an interesting look honestly. This was purchased as a gaming TV that is for the kids in an odd location. AUTOMATION!!!! This is a BIG con. I wanted a TV that could just be ON during the day with art without much thought. It seems like a feature you would expect to be there. But its not, and making it happen is complex. Night mode, which turns the TV off without motion or in darker situations isn't time-sensitive, so you have to turn this off all the time if you want your ART to stay on more than 30 seconds at any time. Motion doesn't do a great job triggering the TV back on. And smartthings integration is just on-off. And without changing settings on just puts you on the Hub, and off turns the TV off. There is no smartthings "turn on art mode" settings. So you end up having to change some art settings (which inexplicably aren't in the settings menu) and some other settings to kind of hack together something that works "most of the time" for turning the TV on in the morning with Art and off at night with smartthings help. You also can't easily randomize art, only on certain curations, and you can't set the slideshow duration, a lot of missing settings that seem obviously needed IMO. The other downside is that its not obvious 50" and below is only 60hz, where 55" and above is 120hz. I was initially kind of pissed about this, and considered returning the TV to exchange for a 55 (as it is intended as a PC gaming TV), but i didn't want to go through the hassle of having to take it down pack it up and remount another one. That said, I'm happy with it. It really looks great when you have a lot of ambient light and the right bit of art on the screen. Its just lacking some "obvious" features I'm surprised are missing considering how long the frame TV has been a thing.
That just shows samsung just offers the qd oled to cater to samsung fanboys that want an oled. And they cant go back on their word after telling the world oled sucks for the last 7 years
Not really a jab. Let alone hidden. But ok. Samsung is judging their own TV’s. A jab would be “the best tv according to Samsung”. I think Samsung would be a good judge of which of their own TV’s is the best. No?
@@jamesbizs how are you gunna say it wasn’t a jab and then give an example of a jab being exactly what he said? And Samsung electronics hates the idea of promoting OLED. Every year it’s been out 4K OLED has beaten 8K LCD tech. Samsung just simply doesn’t want to admit they have been behind the curve for the last decade. A real jab would be stating the fact Samsung has NEVER had the best TV in the market and this year will again be no different 😂😂😂
What’s the best way to get the best resolution with these 8k TVs? To use the Tizen apps or use a Fire Tv stick 4k or an Apple TV?? And regarding sound using an old Bose lifestyle 5.1 home theater or “upgrade”to a new soundbar that doesn’t have physical 5 speakers plus a subwoofer?
I wouldn't buy 8K until both AV1 and VVC decoders are available and there are self emissive panels are reasonably priced, when pixels are so fine and tiny then you can't really do them justice by shoving an LED behind them.
Very nice review. I don't want to get to personal, but I'd love to know how Caleb managed to loose weight. It looks really good. Very well done, Caleb!
I want a buy a new TV and I have a doubt. I only have space for a 55". So, I would have to chose between Samsung 8kqn700b or Samsung 4kqn90b. Samsung qn90b is a 4k, but there is a 120hz. Samsung qn700b is a 8k, but there is 60hz. There´s no streaming videos in 8k, only in 4k (at least, here in Brazil). So, which one have the best quality image? I am a big fan of movies and concerts ( physical media - I am a collector - and streaming)...

Need some advice...can't decide between QN90a or QN800a...both cost about the same right now. Which would you recommend for longer term (5 to 7 years) in basement home theater. Majority of the time it will be watching movies and shows in a darker setting.
An Italian follower and admirer of yours here. I'm about to purchase a 65-inch QN model from Samsung; I am unwilling to enter the QD-OLED game for the time being. Based on price (presently around 3000 euros both), hardware and software, 2021 QN900A annd 2022 QN95B seem to be largely equivalent. Question: in terms of image quality in ordinary mixed usage (movies, sport, documentaries, etc), which would you suggest? I'm reading of increased image depth and further reduced blooming in 2022 QN series, however haestetics and Quantum HDR 64x (and, to a lesser extent, 8k resolution) could speak in favor of the elder model. From across the ocean: help! Thanks a lot in advance, Andrea

dolby atmos soundbars with wireless sattellites do already exist though, I have jbl for example but I know there’s more, so what did Caleb mean about this samsung model, what’s different about it?
They're cool tvs but... 1. The one connect box is just another point of failure to go wrong and have to double check if something happens. 2. 8k is pointless as not even high-end computers can do 8k reliably let alone tv folks like cable or satellite. 3. To put all your golden eggs in TV's that 99% of people won't benefit from is just pushing consumers towards something they don't need whilst not giving them what they do need (moderately sized 4k with all the bells and whistles).
8K is here and 3090 will give you a pretty good 8K experience it'll only get better as the new graphic cards release later this year and the upscaling is amazing.
I bought 13 the frame TV in the past year. I find it’s very good being a cheap alternative than actual art and more functional. However, compare prices to other TV, it’s really not competitive, especially when you gotta buy loads of frames and pay for install.
Does the new sound bar support dolby vision passthrough? For the previous version (Q950A) it seems extremely ambiguous. Specs don't list Dolby Vision, but people on reddit say it works for them! But then again can you trust a rando on reddit to know what they're doing (maybe they're getting HDR10 and don't know any better)? So anyway, would love to get that particular point tested and answered clearly whenever you review it!
Hey Caleb, I put my down payment on the QN900a 85in last year but my BestBuy, could never get it in stock, and finally, the specs were in on the 2022 model so I decided to wait.
It's the best TV for us for now. ;)
What about the QN700B? Any input on that entry model to 8k? What effect will the 60hz panel have on the viewing experience?
Thanks.
Pushing 8K when 4K isn’t even fully out there yet; and 4K is still fairly new to the world. It’s all about a marketing, money, selling scheme with Samsung and the rest of these companies.
4k came out nearly a decade ago.
@@s4nder86 yes but many event do they stream in 4k?
I first seen & heard of 4k in 2014. Had my first 4k tv in 16" that was a 2015..😂😂😂. Man 8 yrs ago
@@o.c.g.m9426 There was no 4K selling in 2014 2015 guy. Just stop with the lies.

The picture quality on that 8K TV looks ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR on my cheap and low-res Lenovo Tablet screen! 👍😂
Pre-ordered the QN900B 75”
Why not sony z9k ? Any info about Samsung be superior to the Sony ? I undecided
I sell a hell of a lot of 8k Samsung TVs, yes the 75 does well but even though priced I have sold a lot of 800a/900a. The pricing has helped and the new B series has me excited! Thank you
I have the qn900a, have you noticed in dynamic mode with max brightness and contrast it still auto adjust brightness which makes shows unwatchable? Yes I turned off the auto adjust feature but it still does it. I don’t know if it’s just me just wanted to ask
@@Jay_Shrimp_Master we have seen a couple of those issues, it maybe a firmware issue. We have gone out reset and made sure latest firmware version was running and these seems to have cleared it up. Yes ultra bright so adjust it to you needs and it sure be ok then.
@@jarlathmcnee3833 thanks. I’ll try that out
Save your cash and buy the QN800A if you want 8K. Looks amazing, blacks and contrast ration is better than they all say and the 4K to 8K upconversion is really really good! If you watch a lot of 4K content, this tv just makes it better! I doubt the upgrades to the 800B are worth $1500.
"blacks and contrast ration is better than they all say".... no they aren't...
Just bought the 85" 800B... cannot wait for it to arrive. Looked amazing in the store
So how is it?
@@lewisevander Absolutely love it. Have to play around with the settings to get it looking natural just because it is so damn bright.... but when watching 8K videos on RUclips it is mindblowing.
@@frankmat great you could also try white bias lighting. It will make the blacks look as good as oled.
What kind of 8K Processing does the 8K Models have ? Is there Native 8K Processing through HDMI Inputs or is the processing through USB or CPU Sources ?
Cmon, Let’s get this guy a million subscribers already!
Hope Samsung have finally fixed the idle power usage on their soundbars
I've heard that the 8K just gets better and better every year.
I have the 2016 KS8000 and a LG C1, not planning buy anything, just love tech.
Problem of The Frame is that in terms of picture quality it is not getting up to the level of the new Samsung TVs for more than a couple of years now
It's a good year for TV tech.....finally.
Isn’t the Q95B just as good?
No
Q95B???...uhm as far as my knowledge is is concerned, Q90B is Samsung’s flagship 4K tv, the Q900B is their 8K flagship..then finally their new QD tech is pretty much new tech, not quite meant to replace either the two I mentioned earlier..
Please review the frame!!
I need this TV but my bank account says no and the fiance says not right now. I have a first gen "4k" tv from 2013 that's not truly 4k, no HDR, no 2.1, and a outdate OS that would make you gag.
Thanks for the tips.
Wow Caleb! Not only are you first on the entire platform but your first by a lot! Great job Bro!
Thanks!
Maybe not an 8K TV, but The Frame is a good possiblity. Looks great. Looking forward to a full review Sir.
I can hardly wait to see it in person😃
I wish the 8k tv came in 55in I guess I’ll do the s95b tv then😑😑😑😑😑!!!!
I Think I could help you as much as I could
Well the lg mini led tvs have better contrast than the nano cells so they should perform even better.
Nice but I'm now enjoying my 4k Hisense H8 the best picture in vivid mode colors beautiful
Dude you're almost at a million? Damn it wasn't that long when you were under 50k?
That soundbar is dope
QD-OLED from Samsung exists.
Samsung still: Look at our awesome old technology!
"Their best TV according to Samsung"
Nice hidden jab there.
Not looking for tv, but it is interesting new technology.

Yay! Review The Frame!!
I wouldn't buy 8K until both AV1 and VVC decoders are available and there are self emissive panels are reasonably priced, when pixels are so fine and tiny then you can't really do them justice by shoving an LED behind them.
Sony HT a9 has very perfect Atmos sound without wires
Hi Caleb please help me choose between Samsung QN900B and Sony Z9K

Awesome video! Thanks.
This seems like a good place ask. As of now, what would the best tv be to play games on from a GAMING LAPTOP ONLY. Not sure if its the current one, but my brothers older Vizio does not hook up to his laptop well. Tons of lag input, and other issues. We plan on getting him a new one soon. Any recommendations? Money is sorta not an issue, but we are not trying to break the bank. Thanks in advance to any one who responds. 🙂
LG OLED still number one gaming TV. Especially using a PC/Laptop as it is the ONLY TV w/GSYNC and HGiG
I don't get it, why don't you tell the people watching that no one is broadcasting in 8K, and won't be for years to come?
Need some advice...can't decide between QN90a or QN800a...both cost about the same right now. Which would you recommend for longer term (5 to 7 years) in basement home theater. Majority of the time it will be watching movies and shows in a darker setting.
Please do a review of The 2022 Frame, it is on my short list to upgrade my gear this year.
Best TV reviewer in the business
did they bring dolby vision to their TVs??
What's the native contrast for the QN 900B model?? Same as the A model?
Does it support 8k @60 Hz in Game mode ???

Doesn't he look like Jason Batman? I'm talkin' about Marty Bird in OZARK lol.
New subscriber here: He never did a review on The Frame - did he?
...Id fuck with a Frame review. Im intrigued to learn more.
Big fan
I bought 13 the frame TV in the past year. I find it’s very good being a cheap alternative than actual art and more functional.
However, compare prices to other TV, it’s really not competitive, especially when you gotta buy loads of frames and pay for install.
I’ve waited damn long enough for an 8K tv and I’m still confused.
So are you doing Samsung’s marketing for them or are you having a dig at it?
yes i am or the qn95b
Any major difference between the 800 and 900?
900 has an infinity display and 12 speakers instead of 8 on the 800.
You're displaying pictures through your soundbar?
This tv is two years old 🤣 it's the qn900a, Samsung just changed the last letter!to qn900b, fantastic innovation.
ppi/dpi rules, 8k wins.
Hey Caleb, I put my down payment on the QN900a 85in last year but my BestBuy, could never get it in stock, and finally, the specs were in on the 2022 model so I decided to wait. Then I saw the TCL 98in Xl. So, from just a picture quality stand point, as the display in a home theatre, which would you choose? The 98 in. TLC or the 85in. 900B
Probably 900B if the size doesn't matter
900B all day
+1 vote for the frame review
7:10 ...If i was rich and into art id buy a frame.
