I love the real old antiques. I am 75 and they are older than. Me. Packed so well and so clean. You have bought treasurers. Take them to an expensive antique auction and you will be able to retire. Wow!
The containers with long chains are called a thiruble. They are for dispensing burning incense. Used by the Tibetans, Orthodox and Catholics, probably others. Love you all xx
The thing I liked best in the video is the fact of the table and the chair for grandma Ventures . The only thing that would make it better is if Ashley was filming and Wade carried the boxes to the table . Maybe you need a 2 tripods , two cameras for two different angles . Boy Ashley would hate editing all that together .
The stand with the foot shape is a cobblers last for putting a shoe on that's being repaired or made, my Grandfather had one. I guessed old irons, which surprised me when I was right. My Mum had a gas iron which my Nan said came after the flat irons like you have in the box. Sorry I don't think 1971 is old, but then I was born before that lol. There was so much there I hadn't seen before, and after the way you were like with the goggles I suggest keeping them somewhere the smell wont get to you lol. Some of the picture frames are lovely, so much care was taken when they produced items in the past, there was great pride taken in making things, not like mass produced when the more got out the better! I didn't sleep last night so I shall be settling down shortly, goodnight my friends,God bless you all love and hugs Mary-Ellen UK
Funny story about the Schwin Air Dyne...in Alliance Nebraska, the jail had one in the exercise yard. One of the prisoners rode it everyday and buildt up his leg strength enough to be able to climb the wall and escape...true story! Paul Harvey reported it and I lived there when it happened!
Oh how the sewing box reminded me of all my grandmother’s sewing stuff. She always kept those chocolate boxes for her sewing notions. She kept cake tins or cookie tins with buttons.
Have to say, so love grandma's poshmark. Have all my Christmas shopping done. Thanks to you guys. Looking forward to seeing more things on the poshmark.
adding on to this wonderful identification, they were made by the Doepke toy company which was in business from 1947 to 1960, and where known to make the most accurate and durable steel construction toys of the time.
I absolutely love this locker. Thank you for showing everything. I agree with grandma ventures about the t pot wall hanging. My granddaughters would have loved that x
Now you guys own an antique store 😅😅😅 Wade, we LOVE these big long unboxings. You can even do more than one video a day. We won't complain. Just film longer videos and divide them in 2 or 3 videos xxx
Love your hoody Wade. The bowls with chains in the suitcase are what priests use to waft incense in church. The sewing machines were in wooden cases when families moves out west in wagon trains.
The recorder is from 1947. It cost $150.00 back then. It's value now is $1600.00. You can find every part for sale online. Some from a few dollars to some around $50.00 from what I researched. Good job Wade!!
What looks like a shoe is a cobblers last and is used in the repair of shoes. The shoes are placed over the foot and new soles can be hammered in place. The irons: the one that is rounded would have been heated by placing directly on a gas cooker jet, as was the 'carron.'
I m so glad you are back to the daily videos. Your videos are the best. Fun, laughter & some fantastic items. My favorite item was the sewing box, my mom had one just like that one with pretty much the same items. German scissors were considered the best seeing scissors because of the clean cut edges on the material.
05:40: Alf is brown, I seem to remember. 12:01: If it's from West-Germany, it really is old, from before the two Germany's were reunited. 18:28: It is indeed a cobblers tool. Can't remember the name just now, but they use it for nailing new soles and heels on shoes. 34:58: One of the first portable, or should I say luggable computers! Incredible! 38:50: A very, very old sewing machine, normally there's a little handle at the flywheel that you spin to make it work. Don't be afraid I'll get bored, I could watch this every night right until spring!
Hey Wade and Momma Ventures...when I was a kid back in the early 70's,and I am 54 now,I had one of each the yellow metal truck and the red tractor.they were specials at Christmas and my parents had gotten them from Western Auto, which I don't think is in business any more
The wire recorder sold for $50-$200 + shipping which is $50+ all of them sold as is or for parts. You could put it up for the higher price, if it doesn't sell within a month lower it to $150 and go from there. I'd bet it would sell for the higher price, especially with Christmas around the corner.
Cobbler's anvil, irons used in dry cleaning in the 30's and beyond. The toy trucks are dirt/gravel road leveling trucks. The mirror recorder was used in voice training. The wire recorder was used around 1910 and only for a very short time. I would guess the owner collected objects he or his parents couldn't afford in his youth.
I Love the Winnie the pool, sorry if I misspell worlds I work since I was 5 years, started picking cotton and only went part time school then my dad got sick and stay working a long time, so I don't know much computer that's why I don't buy from you all but LOVE watching you and your family, if I could I would buy from you all, GOD BLESS you all never told anyone about my not knowing how to order but LOVE seeing you all good luck, but I know you all will do good. LOVE always from Pasadena Texas.
The Webster Chicago is a Wire Recorder. Before reel to reel recorders early recording in the mid to late 40s into the 50s was on piano wire. I archive old recording by digitizing the original recordings into a modern format. Usually I remaster and edit recordings and convert them to CD. I have done wire recordings from the 40s for a number of clients. They are usually voice recordings.
Put a dryer sheet in the zip lock bags with the goggles. It really helps take oders away. I use it for musty smelling magazines and old books and ephemera.
I would recommend that you buy a tripod for your camera a small table o n e and a full floor one. (1) to keep your camera from moving and shaking, (2) then you would have both of your hands free.
Wade wow you have a year worth of video, I love all this, it remind me of home, it's a nostalgic storage for me, all that stuff is an antiques and vintage, the foot thing is for repairing shoes and the irons that has no cord are used to be heated by fire either coal or wood and it's very old between 1940 -01950 and it's really worth money, the silver and the gold hanging thing that has chains, that comes in the wooden box with the googles my mum had them, you can find them in Arabic homes until now, you put a piece of a coal in them and there are special expensive spices calls Bokoor in Arabic you put it on top of the lighted coal and cover them with the cover that comes with it and the steam and the smell comes from the holes in the cover. I even have Bokoor now at home here in London UK.
45:51 What you have are Masonic Hoodwink Initiation goggles, at least $150 ea. I can't wait for your next video !!! I just wish I were there to help you. Research is one of my funnist things to do. You just learn so much !!!!
I have the same Mac in the same case deep in my closet. SE model should have vintage value. Check the back for signatures of the Apple founders. The first Macs had them and makes them rare, I think. I love your mother! Don’t make her carry stuff. Looks very hard for her. Just want to hear her comments. All the things you found are intriguing. You certainly need the help of an antique expert. Btw, the Nikko radio control vehicles aren’t very expensive, maybe 10-20 dollars each, at least here in Japan.
LOVE-LOVE Grandma Venture’s hair, and the sweater looks GREAT on her!!
The Thurible & the rest of the contents maybe connected in some sort of religious way I’m not sure
The containers with long chains are for burning incense in some religions. Called thiruble
I love your show , specially when you work with your mother 👍👍
I love your mother she is hilarious, it's great to see the amazing relationship you have with her. Love to you all from Australia.
Really enjoy the unboxibg with you & grandma Ventures, always a good laugh.

Really neat stuff. I liked all the vintage electronics. Grandma Venture sweater is lovely. I love the relationship you have together. Cherish it.
Oh how the sewing box reminded me of all my grandmother’s sewing stuff. She always kept those chocolate boxes for her sewing notions. She kept cake tins or cookie tins with buttons.
I have a small sewing box... Maybe 10 inches square... I use it a lot...😮
Love watching the unboxing...I still use a wooden rolling pin when baking...they're the best!...TFS
Have to say, so love grandma's poshmark. Have all my Christmas shopping done. Thanks to you guys. Looking forward to seeing more things on the poshmark.
My favorite thing is there interaction between the two of you. You make it so enjoyable. So interesting that all irons
This is so fun to watch. Love your mother
The Orange one is a road grader to use on dirt roads to keep them smooth. The yellow one is called a pan, used in road construction and coal mining.
That is quite old... I'm 74 and they were still used on country roads in rural areas when I was a kid
adding on to this wonderful identification, they were made by the Doepke toy company which was in business from 1947 to 1960, and where known to make the most accurate and durable steel construction toys of the time.
Wade your laugh with your Mum's antics is so funny .
I am so looking forward to further videos. Thank you so much for sharing. I am from British Columbia, Canada.
I love the wood sewing box !!
I love Grandma Venture's cardigan today. She looks great!
Wade you leave your Mom alone. I love your Mom’s sweater. It’s so great to see y’all back unboxing. See you tomorrow.
Us old timers were fond of using empty Whitman sampler boxes for storing our crafting odds and ends.
I absolutely love this locker. Thank you for showing everything. I agree with grandma ventures about the t pot wall hanging. My granddaughters would have loved that x

Love your hoody Wade. The bowls with chains in the suitcase are what priests use to waft incense in church. The sewing machines were in wooden cases when families moves out west in wagon trains.

Those little picture frames from the late 40s. My mom had all her little pictures in those. Yours are mint in box!
Catching up on your unboxing and I'm blown away! Dude, you just made of like a bandit on that unit. That's a gold mine.
Caramel M&ms are the best. Now I am stuck but very happily watching your older videos. Grandma Ventures is such a hoot.
The orange metal toy is a road grader. My grandpa drove one when he worked for Penndot. It was also used to clear snow from the roads .
The recorder is from 1947. It cost $150.00 back then. It's value now is $1600.00. You can find every part for sale online. Some from a few dollars to some around $50.00 from what I researched. Good job Wade!!

Awesomeness thank you for sharing. Happy holidays to you and your family 👍👍👏👏🥰🥰💖💖🎄🎄⛄️⛄️🌟🌟

I love old thread, it is so thick. Thread today is so thin. Old thread is cotton too.
As much as Grandma Ventures says, "I love that!" Wade says, "That's vintage!" 😂

The sewing machine had something under the machine when you tilted it over off the base. The metal bell looking thing is an antique doorbell.
Wow cars, mms. Gotta love it, you guys rock.
