What get's me is that punch boosting was apparently in the game from the start, it was only on Storm Point that someone discovered it! I can't believe it went unnoticed for so long!
@@SmileyBones555 right? The only other ways it was even vaguely used was for fall stun cancel movement but was never actually utilised down a hill. Hell… even the firing range hill went unpunchboosted for 16 whole seasons 😭

I remember finding out about punch boosting when Ottr posted a video about it, I was so shocked about it went straight to Apex played horizon and was punch boosting a lot down hills, got me a win too😶🌫️

I miss the hidden church under the OG firing range. I never got to see it but I was able to glitch outside the firing range which was fun.

@@crimsonshenanigan1854but it makes me not want to revive teammates unless I have blue evo which is not good. Also it should regen shield instead of health that would at least make the upgrade unique instead of the same upgrade other characters get.

6:00 not to be that guy but the train got removed in season 6 not season 4 because worlds edge was becoming more unstable due to the planet harvester

I wish they rotate og map configurations like kings canyon world’s edge and Olympus. I feel like some changes made the maps worse. Especially Kings canyon. They tried to fix 3rd party’s but made it worse

Arenas definitely not blinded by nostalgia. Me and many people ik played mostly arenas and quit when it was removed. And tdm gets has not been good enough to bring us back as much.
You forgot about season one where you could inspect your gun on zip lines
A thing that was removed in early days of apex - hitting ground to cancel slowing down from falling.
In first 3-4 seasons u could punch ground at right timing and you won't be slow down, and i am still do it with no effect, but just like a habit
One of the things I also didn't like that respawn did was removing skills required mechanics like being able to take out your gun while shooting valkaries missiles or being able to make fuses ultimate super big if you threw a grenade in the sky and timed it just right so that your ultimate hit the grenade and made it super big this made fuse so much more fun to play
Season 8 had so many great modes in its limited time month. It was like every few days were unique modes. It sucks we'll wait forever to just MAYBE play it again
Punch boosting was not removed but fixed, it was a clear that the game physics was going bad somehow, like when loot bins could skyrocket you into orbit after some punches.

I remember hearing that the reason that the train LTM ( something Express ) was removed because Respawn said it was too hard to get it to work with Conduit and Catalyst's ultimates, so they just gave up ! xD

The reason they removed skydive trails was mainly because people would follow and punch preds off drop which made preds stop using those trails making them useless
It’s not their problem then. No need to remove it
Think of the skins like the reason why LoL: Wild Rift gets skins for mobile on certain champs and cant be transferred over, different engines are used so atm Riot is testing if they can port over some of the Wild Rift models into League of Legends, it is possible to do so but they probably have to rebuild some codes or change some things in order to do it. The only thing I seen so far on this was an updated version of Malphite in the Skarner rework video so if that works out then Riot might save time on VGUs and be able to transfer over their skins from mobile but it should take some extra work which EA is not willing to do for a game like Apex.

We forgetting about fight or fright? I loved that event! I don't mean that 3 person per team and when they die they come back as a shadow, I mean that 1 v 59 Fight or Fright at night on king canyon.
Respawn: cosmetic dive trails are unhealthy to the game

I hate the removal of skydive trails. Not because i ever got one - outside of season 17 - but because they were the perfect indicator for me to leave a round, because the matchmaker is shit and puts me in another pred lobby.
I am an average player that plays for fun. Not to sweat in all day, everyday for hours on end.
Now i can only tell by the champion screen and it sucks. My teammates are usually below lvl 100 and noobs while i need to fight the top preds... this season i got lobbies with the number 26, 104, 250 and 64 pred from last season... WTF
I am hardstuck plat - if i really grind - and not one of the top 0.1% of players...
The matchmaker sucks so much that i can't even enjoy any new LTM anymore, cause i know that it will be flooded with those no-lifer sweats -.-

My main game was Arenas.
While not every round was great,
I loved the very energy of this mode.
I still miss it and want it back.
Mixtape became unbearable now, too.
So, for now I removed Apex entirely,
which is sad, because I actually do love it.
It's just no fun for me anymore in its very state.
You forgot to mention the Winter Express. The winter event where it was all about the train (Not br)
From what I've seen cheaters know when they are being spectated, what I do is switch teammates and wait for a fight to start to spectate the suspected cheater, but if they are all cheating obviously they can tell each other they are being spectated...
i dont know how everyone magically misses arenas, after non-stop shitting on it while it was out. as an arena enjoyer, i would love if they did bring it back, and actually fixed the balancing, which they'd never do.

Lifeline doesn’t need a ‘rework’, she’s balanced as it is.
I’d say all she needs is a new ultimate as it doesn’t suit her kit or the meta of modern apex gameplay.
The increased speed of her ultimate is nice, it’s just that her ultimate isn’t useful like basically every other legend
Wattson's perk doesn't even count. it made sense and the devs did this on purpose and it was intended. no one was even mad about this and players know when wattson is reviving with more HP
I loved the IMC Armories a lot and miss them but don’t miss those who would ambush you when about to leave

I deleted Apex because of the last thing holding me to it, and it was Wattson, after i saw that the animation of res was not bugged but removed, i REMOVED THE GAME FROM MY LIFE :D.

the whole point of the ability was to revive your idiot *teammates* who just full send out in the open, not even using a quarter of their brain to see if there's some cover they can go behind when they start taking too much fire. if that happens now, your teammate is just dead, and they'll either insta disconnect or blame their dumbass push on you and the third teammate

Honestly if the spectating players feature made cheaters less likely to cheat, isn't that better then the current anti-cheat in the game?
If you can't stop them cheating, discouraging them seems to be most viable alternative..

Arenas was so bad. Not the gameplay itself, just how slow it was. You spent as much time finding a game, picking your loadout, and (especially if you go down first...) waiting for the next round as you spend actually playing the game.
Plus, with how poorly balanced the weapons tend to be, it's usually just 6 people using the same weapon against each other.
I remember how often I'd pick my loadout and round one the entire enemy team would have the spitfire. So, next round, we'd grab the spitfire too because it was the only way to compete. Right now it would be the Havoc.

blinded by nostalgia my ass I literally only played arenas when it was out I had the most fun playing this game when arenas was added and haven’t enjoyed it as much since. Mixtape feels like such a cop out since TDM feels so half baked, Gun Gun Run is fun but like for 2 rounds and thats it and control is the only one I can play consistently but ya know they rotate in and out so it’s not really an option, plus the maps for tdm and gun run really suck imma be real the storm point and broken moon poi do not work in a respawn mode

i don’t think they thought the rewards were good ENOUGH. banner frames are much better and they are permanent.
Am I the only one who doesn't miss the revive shield anymore? Cuz that made me HATE her to the point of not playing her ever and calling it Trashline insteed of lifeline. Not by the fact that was annoying against, but on your team, because 90% of the time your Trashline just used it to kill you (and anyone saying you can cancel the rez, you couldnt back in those days).
So yeah, don't miss the shield, made me hate the character because it forced people to push for an easy kill
somehow i blocked 70 dmg with lifeline shield
messed up map timings....do you realise that most of literally every game is me having one biiiig fight at the start of the game and then running around for 20 minutes looking for people, and then having one squad left endgame? punch boosting didnt kill map timing, hot drops did

Id rather see tap strafing get removed all together they already got rid of it for controller players. And they just add punch boosting because it doesn't require any binds or anything :(
