Great little box for the price, set one up for a friend, installed Showbox, Livenet Tv, Mobdro, and several other movie and sports apps, all worked with no problems, great picture quality, only thing i was surprised by, that there were no air vents at bottom of box, as it does get warm with a few hours of use.
I only noticed increased temperature only after gaming. Mine stays 24/7 online. But you are not the only one speaking of the box getting hotter - looks like it indeed happens to most of the power users.
If that's your first TV box, then lucky you - this is an awesome model :-) I remember my first one, which was quite a disappointment - www.stickcomputing.com/mk808b-android-mini-pc/ Congratulations about your choice! This still is the TV box that I use at home :-) Every day!
Hi, Could you please confirm if this box has Widevine L1 DRM and HDCP 1.x? Any DRM app will give this information. Without these, Netflix will only stream in 480p/SD, almost unwatchable on a large screen TV. Sadly very few Chinese vendors have obtained these DRM licences for their TV boxes, one of the few exceptions being the Mecool M8S Pro L.
My Vorke Z6 will not play Netflix at HD. Looks like crap.www.geekbuying.com/item/VORKE-Z6-Android-7-1-2-Amlogic-S912-TV-BOX-3GB-DDR4-32GB-eMMC5-0-WIFI-Bluetooth-KODI-1000M-LAN-384718.html
You mentioned that you connect a 'Shami' or 'Shelby' Bluetooth gamepad and that you could lay Beach Buggy Racer on the TX9. I cannot play BBR or any game on the TX9 that requires some type of swipe or title tablet type control. How do I get around this please? Will the gamepad resolve this? If so, which one is the best?
Hi Lewis, I connect a Xiaomi Gamepad via Bluetooth. There are many models that are compatible - Ipega, Mijia and so on. Just get one that you like and it will work fine. There are more and more Android games that support controllers - like Real Racing, PUBG and so on.
That is quite strange. The ipega should work at least. I have tried using the Xiaomi joystick and it works flawlessly. Tried that with Beach buggy racing for example. Are you trying to use it on a particular game, or to generally check whether it works? Maybe unpair, delete the existing pair and try again?
Hi, thank you for this great review video. Could you please add more information to the picture (JPEG) playback performance in combination with Kodi. Thank you!
Sure! I hated the fact I have to use a laptop every time I want to watch something on large screen. Hated the cables, the lack of mobility when connected and so on. It is like you permanently add a small computer to your TV. Sure - the laptop is much more powerful in terms of specs, but not that convenient to to use. I have a TVBox ever since the good old MK808 were released :-) (and that was quite a while ago)
Why do you need mobility when connected? Where are you going with your TV? You're already using a remote keyboard and mouse with this thing, so what's the problem to use it with a laptop? Plug your laptop in and control everything with your cordless mouse and keyboard, just like with a TV box. And it also has cables. The only thing I can see as being an advantage is obviously the price. It's not even comparable. And I guess a TV box is more stylish and small and fits better next to a TV. But other than that, they both serve exactly the same function with exactly the same ease of use, but a laptop (or even a desktop PC permanently connected to the TV if you have the space) provides infinitely more versatility. From not being bound to an android OS to having a much superior hardware. I get that it's a little (IMO) more comfortable, but if I already have a laptop it is hard for me to see a reason to thrown more money into this. (Obviously that's not a personal diss on you, and I'm not trying to be an asshole. Just a discussion)
tocov - giving your reasons only make the conversation more useful and I thank you for that! When I mentioned "mobility" - the thing I hate the most about using my computer, is having to plung and unplug the HDMI cable all the time, and having to do that always if I want to type (somehow I never became a fan of using extra mouse/kbd on my laptop). Perhaps it is a matter of getting used to. Nowadays there is another option - using miracast if the laptop and the TV support it - in that case maybe a TVBox is simply not needed. Again, thank you for stepping in and giving this different prospective! That helps me a lot to compose better introductions on future videos.
I know it says it has DDR4 in the video, but I have seen different reviews And specs on various sites that say it has DDR3. Can anybody confirm that it has DDR4? Thanks
Hey Kurt, just tried to open the box, it looks impossible without damaging the integrity of the box. So I won't do it for now. That might be the only way I guess :-)
Kurt, just found that pic: i.imgur.com/7XAzsKF.jpg Looking into it, the ram seems to be provided by Micron, and according to the FBGA code it may be DDR3. Still - we don't know whether that is pre-production, and whether they have multiple hardware revisions.
how do people lose remotes? ha ha. i seem to buy many boxes, without remotes.. but this box is great, in 2024.. still installs 2024 apps.. great buy, if find it.. grab it!!! mini keyboard will also work!!!
if u considering buying this, please dont... for one simple reason... the internet speed...i cant explain how or why, but when i do the speed test it does not get above 40 mb/p/s... (ethernet cable connection) i have a 500 mb/p/s connection.... even worse sometimes it drops to barely 1 mb/p/s... and that is using the ookla speedtest (the build in speedtest is even worse results) when i did the same test with my xbox it measured 490 mb/p/s i am going to return this box..and installed kodi on my xbox...this is trash...
Thanks Prive naam, interesting opinion. The internet speed here is excellent, easily running the maximum of my bandwidth. And I am streaming fullHD and 4K videos via network all the time, so likely it is either something wrong with your SoC, or your router, or your config. - Have you tried with factory reset? - Which is the exact version of the ROM that you use? - was it working fine at some point? Or never ever? - have you tried configuring your router to negotiate at 100 mbit? How is the WiFI speed performing?
Dharik like i said with the build in speed test got even worse results, but i did install the ookla speedtest which i also measured my xbox internet speed with...perhaps i had a faulty box i returned it and got my money back (also i think its too expensive for appearantly not consistent quality)
I believe most Android 7 devices are HDR10 capable, as it is part of the mp4 reproduction stack. Similar devices with Android 7.x announce HDR10 support. The manufacturer hasn't explicitly mentioned it as part of the features list, it should be there however.

We just ordered our TX9 box (our first android TV box) and I cannot wait to set it up!

Hi Hiran,
Does that screenshot help?

Looks like it is all there?

Jack, would you post the DRM info screenshot? SO that we can compare?
i.imgur.com/PWpiHlV.png Even if you unroot it, netflix still looks like crap. But, the rest, the box does really well. Better than the H96 Pro+.
Hi!
Can it play 1080p 3D Blu ray movies (sequential 3D also known as FHD3D Format)?
how working kodi on this box ? 1080p working good ?? you can test it please?
Unfortunately I no longer have this around, but while I did - KODI was working fine in 1080p.

hi. you can use a jostick?. i pair a ps4 controller and ipega jostick. i can't use just pair it. i don't know what's wrong. can you helpme?

h3xxa , thank you for your interest in this video.
Do you mean streaming jpegs from home storage/NAS or something else?
Best presentation ever. Keep the good word.
WOuld love to :-) Any particular TV box you are also interested at?
Can it support... Or is there a joystick you can buy for playing games?
I use a pretty old Xiaomi joystick. Get something with bluetooth and it will work fine :-)
@@TechMishkathanks! Do I need to root?
@@dementom No root needed - it all works out of the box :-)
@@TechMishka thanks. This is my first droid tv box so Im still new.... I bought a sunvell t95z+ for our living room too.
@@dementom - you will certainly have a lot of fun. I have one since ... maybe 6 years and it never goes off :-)
DDR4? Are you sure about that? You might want to actually run a test for that.
Is this a good option for Emulating NES, SNES, PS1, etc?
If you can emulate them successfully on your smartphone, then they will run fine here too.
hi...whats the launcher user on this video?
Both the stock launcher and Nova launcher are shown.
Works even better when you get it from Ghostware with our tweaked firmware
Are these free to download and install? Couldn't find any links on the website.
Can somebody explain to me why you need this thing?
What does it do that a laptop (with much better capabilities) can't do?
Sure! I hated the fact I have to use a laptop every time I want to watch something on large screen. Hated the cables, the lack of mobility when connected and so on. tx9 or tx92?
Both are great devices :)
Are this device can support pubg mobile?
Yes, it does :-) Not the highest graphics rate, but you ca play it.
No vent,why?
Yu-hsiang Chang, not needed :) the cpu is not that heat-intensive. I am playing from time to time and never had overheating issues.

Excuse my a bit late reply - seems like youtube has marked the message for review :-)
this box doesn't work well...sound drops every 10-15 seconds...you can't watch any video due to this....
Weird that. What kind of video are you running? On which player?
I still use it as primary box running 24/7 with zero problems. Maybe I can help :-)
Iam watching after 7 years😂
Oh niiice 😍
same here box is great but i bought it used.. people have no idea how great these are..better than firesticks!!!
