AJ Kutz oh my goodness ... you are so kind! Thank you so much :). I am so glad to hear you enjoyed them. I’m having a great time learning how to edit :). Keep up the good work with Spanish and have a super summer!
Hola, gracias mucho por usted videos que ayudan mucho! Yo estoy in la clase de Sra. Grady y solo queria enviar gracias de mi y ella. Tener un gran dia!!!!
Oh Cecilia .... tu mensaje me hizo sentir muy muy muy feliz 😊! Eres muy dulce. Gracias 🙏🏽. It really made my day. Espero que tengas un día muy bonito. Saludos a la Sra. Grady y a ti también.
Hola . I can't take credit for such a clever acronym but I do love it. It makes it easier for students to remember and recall. To be totally honest I cannot remember where it came from. Throughout years of teaching you pick up things here and there and you keep adding to your toolbox.
¡Muchas gracias! 😊 Me alegra que te haya gustado la forma en que incorporé esos verbos en la lección. ¡Es importante recordarlos! Y sí, ¡siempre trato de ser creativa en mis videos! 😉 ¡Gracias por el cumplido y por tu apoyo! 💕
Kahlil Caldwell so happy happy happy to hear! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I’m so glad they helped. Have a super day 😊. Enjoy your summer!
Kahlil Caldwell oh oh your comment got cut off .... to tell people to write something, verb: escribir you would do escribes take off the s ... so it would be escribe ... :)
¡Ja, ja, ja! That's a funny comment! 😄 It seems like they found the lesson on affirmative informal commands helpful and maybe even a little bit "action-packed" 😉. LOVE IT!
Do you have work sheets for the affirmative commands in Spanish with the answers? And when I looked on the homeschooling site I don’t see a section that you can just purchase only a Spanish homeschool section it’s only math language arts reading those kind of things that I’m seeing
Hola 👋🏽. I will be working on a handout for this topic in the near future. All my handouts are at www.teachercatalina.com in the library of resources. I’m so sorry I don’t understand or know what you are referring to about the homeschool website. I do not sell anything. All of my materials are absolutely free. You may access all through my website www.teachercatalina.com
Thank you! Gracias a ti. I love those little things that help us and our students remember things quicker! Glad you enjoyed it and you can use it. Have a super day!
You're right to be curious about the different forms! Here's why I used the tú form for affirmative informal commands (this is not to say that using the él form is incorrect): Informal vs. Formal: In Spanish, we have formal and informal ways of addressing people. "Tú" is the informal "you," used with friends, family, and people you know well. "Él" is the third-person singular pronoun meaning "he," not a form of "you." To address someone formally, we use "usted." Commands: When giving a command, you're telling someone to do something. Informal commands use the tú form of the verb, but with a special twist. Dropping the "s": For most verbs, the tú form usually ends in "-s" (like "hablas," "comes," "corres"). But for affirmative informal commands, we drop that "-s" (like "habla," "come," "corre"). Example: Tú form (statement): Tú hablas español. (You speak Spanish.) Informal command: ¡Habla español! (Speak Spanish!) Why not "él"? "Él" is never used to address someone directly. It's always used to talk about someone. So, you wouldn't use "él" to give a command. I hope this clears things up! Let me know if you have any more questions about commands or any other grammar points. 😊
Thanks a bunch for posting these! The way you explain is very clear and the videos are edited amazingly!
