Great footage of both trucks and really well shot. I’m basically doing this in reverse. I had the ECTO first which I’ve been blown away with and have just taken delivery of my GSpeed frame and Element builders kit and looking forward to seeing first hand the differences. Keep up the great content, very enjoyable.
@@PhilBrindley I’ve gone with the gspeed v3 carbon fibre chassis kit (vader) with lay down servo mount. A Reef 444 servo as it won’t have much weight to move and I love the raw 500 in my ecto. Wheels are punk custom 3d 2.2 wheels with stretched 1.9 proline trenchers. Never had the trenchers before, my ecto has gmade 1904’s which I’m a big fan of but wanted to try something different and the trenchers are a bit more scale looking. Other than that just the basic element builders kit for the rest. Was just meant to be the ecto as a bit of fun between race seasons at Santa pod as I race a gasser but it’s got way out of hand ha ha. Good evening Phil that looks a great place to go wheeling there both very impressive trucks and you've summed it up perfectly the Ecto is a great trail truck And very capable crawler with very little work it's certainly going to be fun for me . One day I may just do an LCG rig but first I need to be a much better driver LOL.
Thanks, and welcome to an awesome hobby. It’s called a kinetic winch, I very rarely need to use them, but they can come in handy. It’s basically just elastic with a hook on the end. It won’t pull you up a climb, but instead tends to give the front tires some extra traction so the rig can climb. Hope that helps.
Dude...one thing you should do is take the springs off your shocks on your Enduro. Really helped when climbing, with my Ecto Enduro, also helps when going vertical & doesn't make you fall over backwards as much.
Grate video there very cable trucks iv got few trucks n I’m interested in buildin belly dragger I all so have in my collection is a burg tracer n a bully 2 pro rock crawlers keep up the grate videos n have good xmas m8 👍👍🤟🤟
Have to agree with something you said, some of the mods to the Ecto mostly just added weight high up. Clear out the interior, get rid of the roll bar and radiator, and traction board, and I think they would be even closer. That said, you have both. Why bother trying to match or beat the G speed?
What wheels were you using on the Ecto mate, they looked really good. The ones in the first part of the video. I'm pretty sure in the second part you're using Injora 6 spoke wheels. The same goes for some of the accessories, where did you get the windows netting, drivers and back fans from? I have an Ecto on order, they haven't been released here in Australia yet.
Hi, the wheels are Vanquish copies I think, they were from eBay and very cheap (about £25, not sure in AUD). They've been great so far and haven't given me any cause to spend 3 times the price on branded wheels. The 6 spoke ones were also from eBay, they are not Injora branded, but probably exactly the same. They were a little more expensive though at £40. The Side netting is 3D printed in flexible TPU and the rear radiator is also 3D printed standard PLA. I 3D print a lot of stuff! 🤣 The files for the rad are on thingiverse, they were originally for the Capra, but I scaled them up 120% and they are just right for the echo 😎 Interior is from the Element Gatekeeper, full video here ruclips.net/video/2bRnFCnUQQY/видео.html Thanks 🤙

Unfortunately I don't think you could, unless you are happy to lose the GKS trailing arms and just go to a standard 4 link rear. To do that and maintain the wheelbase you'd probably need to look at custom links. If you are looking to LCG the Ecto you might be better looking at the IERC shock towers instead. Hope that helps. 🤙
