Hey Chris this is Raymond we met on the street today . We have good luck with those swim baits but in 8”with 8 oz -16 oz weight depends on depth and currents . I like the motor oil color ones .
Oh you wanted me to remind you. Try making a marble size ball of power bait and use that as a lure. In one of your go pro vids, for rock fish, the fish were biting some beads you had on the line and ignoring your jig. The bead was red I don't know if the color was significant but might have been.
I use pitbull tackle alot too, just ordered some swim Baits and the threw in 2 extra tails for free! Love those guys! Great video, I like how they explain the colors and which jug to use during which part of the tide you are on.
Great video! So informative. Thanks guys. Big shout out to Tristan. That guy is the man. I used to go to outdoor proshop, hunt that guy down and barrage him with questions. Super cool dude with a ton of knowledge. Would pick his brain on salmon and whatever else. Always had killer advice. Awesome collaboration Chris!
Those lingcod you lost were hitchhiking !!! If you reel nice and steady somtimes you can catchem that way not even hooked just latched on small rock fish LOL!!
Lived , worked and went to school in the Bay Area for many of years. Simply Beautiful. Sad I had to leave. Deep sea fishes out at the Fairlawn’s. Awesome to of found Crispfish
Good rock fish show Chris. You talk about using glow in the dark lures. Why not add glow sticks to your lures. They are cheap on ebay at 50 for 6 bucks. You can stick them inside your soft baits and use tape on your hard baits. In watching your go-pro vids it gets pretty dark down there. The glow sticks can go down as low as 300 feet. On some videos the fish attacked the go pro light and by passed the lure or bait. Why not add the light directly to your lure?
How far out of the bay did you go?? Wat was the swell? Everytime we try the swell seems to be too much and we opt to stay closer to the beach and get skunked.
Great video and tips. FYI, Set the hook once and turned the handle constantly, don't allow slack in the line by lifting and lowering your rod tip. When you allow slack in your line you give the fish opportunity to become unhooked.
Thanks for the video. I use Pitbull tackle. Get a descender! Watching you release those small rockfish by just throwing them back into the water was painful to watch. Don’t fish for rockfish if you’re not going to do it right, please.
Bro, respectfully, go see a ear nose and throat specialist. I can hear in your speech that you probably cannot breathe well through your nose. You won’t notice the deficiencies because your body is used to it. I had the surgery to correct the problem and my life has seen much improvement.
Big fan of Pitbull Tackle and Outdoor Pro Shop. That Bora jig is legit! Gonna try the deadfall and swim baits on my kayak soon.

Try using fish sauce made out of anchovies
Wen king salmon!
