Hmm, the question about colonialism and slavery. I totally understand the colonialism part. Europeans went to Africa and divided the land among each other. Concerning slavery though, there was this focus in the answers about the Africans taken away to the Americas. These Africans were captured and sold by fellow Africans to the Europeans (and Arabs) so Africans were more than happy to get rid of them. I would have expected the focus would be more on Africans working as slaves in colonies inside Africa. Don't get me wrong, I think that was horrible but the Africans that sold them and the outsiders that bought those people, they were on the same side and were happy about their deal. Concerning reparations, Marco Polo may not be aware Europe is spending billions on trying to help African countries. Even when I was a small child, I remember we had regular collections for Africa. In my school we even "adopted" an African child, we would basically gather money every year and send it to him and his family. From time to time we would get a letter from him, telling us how his life was going. Is the money and aid Europe is supplying enough reparations? I do not know, maybe it is also not in the correct format. I don't think anyone should feel guilt for what their ancestors have done since you don't have control over the past but it is the right thing to try and make things right. Glad to see most people interviewed were more focused on making a good future rather than dwell on a bad past. Hoping Marco Polo will turn around, maybe he needs to date more white girls and they can convince him :D
I am a white guy and that lovely lady at the beginning would get the biggest hug...why on earth would anyone not "want to get close" no way i dont acecpt that. except for a few cretins around the world of course. I was lucky enough to be brought up in a place where race was not really a conversation. because it was not a problem/
I’m Nigerian and I’m shocked.. are theses Africans inferior cause I don’t get it! I don’t care what colour you are.. be comfortable being you.. be bold.. speak your mind and accept the consequences.. live your life without fear.. put actions towards goals bigger than you to help your family and community.. work with your community and bring excellence.. put 100 in whatever you do! Stop this inferiority complex!
Hello, brother, do you know what my opinion is on this topic? All people are the same, whether white or black, or yellow, it doesn’t matter, Allah created everyone. I never say that you are black or white. The most important thing in life is people🇺🇿🇳🇦

That kind of attitude is why many educated Nigerians really succeed in the West.
