My own interpretation the first part of the song is him saying he understands/experiences su!cidal ideation but the line, "dig deep resist the feeling when it hits you", is urging people to not give in to the thoughts, and the second part shows how it effects the people who are left behind with him sharing his own personal experience (in a most open, raw, and vulnerable way). 💞
You’re right, it was Ren’s best friend, Joe, who jumped from the Menai bridge and his body was never found.
Ren lived locally and started running up to the bridge when he was told what was happening, ringing Joe’s phone, which was initially engaged but just before he arrived Joe’s phone went ‘out of service’, so he must have jumped 💔

they also searched the coast for days with all of his friends but yeah, never found.. R.I.P Joe, the way Ren described him, there is no doubt he was a wonderful person.
Great reaction! This one has been hard for me. I have dealt with depression for most of my life and much of what has kept me here is the realization of how it would hurt those I love. The second half of this song is brutal but it is also a good reminder of how it hurts those left behind.
Musically, it's another masterpiece! The video is beautiful as well. I think the animation was a great choice for this one. Louis Mardlin is the video editor for Ren's animated type videos and he did a fantastic job.
I already know just by the title I'm going to cry when I watch this 😭 it's going to bring back some past stuff but now I'm in a better place so I think I can handle it 👍🏽

People only use the term "unaliving" because of the restrictions platform's put on words they view as taboo. Ren is creating dialogue around a subject people are told not to discuss, but the fact it's not discussed is what contributes to the isolation and loneliness of those suffering with intrusive thoughts on the subject. Ren is saving lives by allowing people to see the topic can, and should be discussed and addressed as talking about it, will open the door for people to reach out in a time of need. 💜🇦🇺

Then... spending 10 years of misdiagnosis and drug experiments that tore you up! And then there's the Pain too!!!

I think "fine" is pushing it. He still has an incurable chronic illness, that causes almost constant pain, that requires a severely restricted diet as his illness has made him highly allergic to virtually all food and which requires endless handfuls of pills and a whole range of invasive daily treatments and he still suffers from bouts of crippling depression and has to face days when his body just stops working. Plus, much of the damage to his body and brain is likely permanent, even if a cure were discovered tomorrow. He's a lot better than he was and has an amazingly positive and inspiring outlook on life but he really isn't fine. He's very honest, raw and open about his struggles after all. The fact that he's accomplished so much is truly remarkable. His life and actions are as great and inspiring as his music. :)
